Welcome back to EV News Daily, and welcome to a special bonus edition: an interview today with a fascinating guest. One big question is holding back EV adoption: is this battery any good? My guest today, Nathan Gore-Brown, is helping to establish the standard to answer that question.Nathan brings 30 years of experience across three continents in the automotive world. Nathan has identified a flaw in the market. Buyers can't verify the health of used batteries, so they're hesitating, and that gap is stalling the market. Today he's talking specifically about Australia and New Zealand, but we can paint those brushstrokes all around the world. In 2025 he founded his new business, Test EV. By bringing independent testing from specialists Aviloo and taking that to Australia and New Zealand, he's securing partnerships with some of the industry's biggest players, and helping to set the rules for how EVs are valued and sold.He also serves as the Queensland director of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association and has developed national training programs for dealers. His work spans policy, training, fleet decarbonisation, and now the very infrastructure that makes EV purchases trustworthy. I think it's fair to say Nathan is the expert in replacing guesswork with real data!Find out more: testev.coNathan's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nathan-gore-brown-1403a622?lipi=urn%3Ali%3Apage%3Ad_flagship3_profile_view_base_contact_details%3BldzKJOGCR1mf3osZhSa%2BPA%3D%3D
So much has happened since ICE ramped up efforts in Minneapolis. It can be hard to get a sense of the big picture. Two NPR reporters on the ground do just that. It's been nearly two months since ICE descended on the streets of Minneapolis. In that time, Renee Macklin Good has been shot and killed, children have been detained, and the federal government's campaign to arrest undocumented immigrants has only grown bigger, more aggressive, and more intense. For sponsor-free episodes of Consider This, sign up for Consider This+ via Apple Podcasts or at plus.npr.org. In this extended and unfiltered episode of What's New with ME, host Ali Mehdaoui breaks down the most pressing and controversial headlines shaping the United States and the world today—cutting through political spin, media noise, and social media outrage to focus on facts, context, and human impact. We begin with President Donald Trump's renewed comments on Greenland, exploring why the rhetoric has reignited global debate, strained relationships with allies, and frustrated parts of his own base who voted on America First, affordability, and transparency. With Trump's approval rating dipping to 39%, we examine where he's delivering—and where supporters say he's falling short.Next, we address the growing public outrage surrounding the Epstein files, the lack of full transparency, and unanswered subpoenas—including continued silence from powerful political figures. Why does this issue continue to erode trust, and why are Americans across the political spectrum demanding real accountability? The show then turns international, covering the escalating unrest in Iran, reported death tolls, the United Nations' response, and where the United States currently stands. We discuss the humanitarian crisis, geopolitical implications, and why this story matters far beyond headlines. From there, we break down the Federal Reserve shakeup, including Trump's consideration of a new Fed Chair, what that means for inflation, markets, interest rates, and the everyday American household—and why economists and political commentators are sharply divided. Finally, we address a deeply personal and emotional issue: protesters disrupting a church service over ICE policy. Ali delivers a clear, unapologetic response on why places of worship must remain sacred spaces—free from political confrontation—especially when families are present. Regardless of political beliefs, some lines should never be crossed.Throughout the episode, we also examine social media reactions and prime-time political commentary from across the spectrum—balancing satire, empathy, frustration, and truth. If you're looking for context over chaos, clarity over clicks, and commentary that respects both facts and faith, this episode is for you.
This episode features the audio from a NJN webinar, originally recorded on January 15th, 2026, hosted by Noam Shelef. In this conversation, Peace Now's Hagit Ofran helps us understand: What to make of the recent headlines about E-1 and how this fits with other changes in the West Bank over the past year. How settler violence and government policy reinforce one another to drive Palestinians out of certain areas. Why these developments matter for Palestinians, Israelis, and the rest of us who care about what the future looks like. Hagit Ofran is Israel's leading expert on settlements and the Israeli government's policies in the Occupied Territories. As co-director of Peace Now's Settlement Watch program, Hagit has spent decades documenting settlement expansion and tracking the legal and political mechanisms driving de facto annexation.

You may have stocked your shelves and assembled your gear, but have you honestly assessed where you stand as a prepper heading into 2026? In this candid conversation, Todd sits down with longtime preparedness thought leader Paul Martin to confront an uncomfortable truth facing the preparedness community: too many preppers have grown complacent, mistakenly believing that political outcomes or the absence of recent catastrophe somehow insulate them from what's coming. The data tells a different story, and both Todd and Paul have watched this pattern repeat across election cycles and quiet years alike. If your commitment to preparedness rises and falls with headlines or who occupies the White House, this episode delivers the reality check you need. Paul and Todd examine the current landscape of prepping in 2026, exploring why serious preppers must shift their focus from predicting the next big event to building genuine resilience that transcends any single scenario. They discuss what separates those who are truly prepared from the "throw it in the closet just in case" crowd, why community has become the missing link in most preparedness plans, and how the preparedness community can move beyond consuming content to taking meaningful action. From evaluating your actual inventory to building networks within walking distance of your home, this conversation offers the strategic perspective that seasoned preppers and newcomers alike need to hear. Whether you've been preparing for decades or are just recognizing that self-reliance is non-negotiable, this episode challenges you to move beyond passive accumulation toward purposeful readiness. The fundamentals discussed here are universal, applicable whether the disruption comes from natural disaster, economic instability, or geopolitical conflict. The time to assess your gaps, test your systems, and build your local network is now, while supplies are available and you have the luxury of thoughtful preparation rather than panicked reaction. U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Iranian demonstrators to keep protesting, promising that "help is on the way," while warning that any country doing business with Iran will face a 25 percent tariff on trade with the United States. Tehran, however, says the situation is under control. Iranian officials insist that communication channels with Washington remain open, while the country prepares for either dialogue or war. So what's really happening on the ground in Iran? What are the root causes of the protests? And how do ordinary Iranians view the U.S. offer of "help"?
True Crime Today covers the latest bombshell developments in the Nick Reiner case. Sources tell TMZ that Nick reportedly admits to killing Rob and Michele Reiner—but doesn't understand why he's in jail. He allegedly believes the people who incarcerated him are engaged in a conspiracy against him.Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer joins us to analyze what this means for the investigation and the inevitable insanity defense. Nick's medication for schizoaffective disorder was reportedly changed about a month before the murders because he complained of weight gain. According to the TMZ documentary, his meds still aren't stabilized and jail doctors are still trying to figure it out.The Reiner family reportedly spent a fortune on dual-diagnosis treatment facilities over the years. But Nick would only stay 30 days—long enough to get clean off drugs but not long enough to address the underlying mental illness. Dr. Drew Pinsky called 30 days "almost meaningless" for someone with Nick's history and suggested he needed permanent custodial care.Other key developments: The murder weapon has not been found. LAPD sealed the autopsy reports on Christmas Eve. Nick checked into a Santa Monica hotel after the alleged killings before being found wandering near USC the next night. And the prosecutor assigned to the case is Habib Balian—who handled Menendez and Durst.Coffindaffer explains how investigators evaluate insanity claims, what Nick's behavior reveals, and why this case may take years to resolve.#NickReiner #RobReiner #TrueCrimeToday #FBI #Murder #InsanityDefense #Schizoaffective #JenniferCoffindaffer #TrueCrime #InvestigationJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISDOES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this jam-packed and unsettling episode, Tara takes listeners from the streets of Minneapolis to the bathrooms of America's schools—exposing what happens when lies, lawlessness, and institutional failure collide. First, Tara dismantles the false narrative that ICE is conducting “illegal kidnappings,” explaining what federal law actually says and how political misinformation is driving mobs, assaults on agents, and near-riot conditions. Then, the show takes a hard turn into a disturbing reality inside high-performing public schools, where teachers and parents reveal shocking behavior happening in bathrooms—and how cell phones and social media are making it worse. ⚠️
In this eye-opening episode, Tara shares disturbing firsthand accounts from teachers and parents across Upstate South Carolina about what's happening inside high school bathrooms—even in top-performing schools. From vaping to students photographing each other nude and posting it on Snapchat, Tara explains why schools are installing gates, posting strict signage, and assigning staff to monitor restrooms. She also breaks down the serious legal consequences parents and students may not realize they're facing. The episode then turns toward solutions, as Tara explains why more families are turning to Greenville County Schools' Virtual Program, how it works, who it's for, and why it's nothing like “COVID school.”

In this episode, Ziya and I speak openly about what is happening in Iran, not as outsiders, but as Iranians who have spent most of their lives in Iran and whose families are still living there. What the regime and much of the media describe as “protests” is, in reality, a nationwide revolution against the Islamic Republic. At the time of publishing this video, the Iranian regime has shut down the internet for more than four consecutive days in an attempt to suppress information, isolate the population, and escalate violence without scrutiny. During this uprising, more than 12,000 people have been killed by the regime's oppressive forces. We address the roots of this revolution, the regime's long history of massacres and misinformation, the role of censorship, and the deliberate distortion of events—particularly around support for the exiled Crown Prince, Reza Pahlavi. In today's episode of The Produce Industry Podcast, host Patrick Kelly breaks down one of the most pressing issues facing California citrus growers this season: the unexpected surge in mandarin fruit drop. With a lighter crop already forecasted, above‑average rain, persistent fog, and rising fungal pressure have created a perfect storm in the groves — and growers across the Northern Central Valley are feeling the impact. Patrick unpacks the science, the weather patterns, the market implications, and the real‑world decisions growers are making right now to protect their operations. From Fungal stress to delayed harvest windows, from packout concerns to pricing shifts, this episode gives you a clear, grounded look at what's happening, why it's happening, and what the industry needs to prepare for as the 2025–26 season unfolds.Website: www.aglifemedia.comMobile App: app.theproduceindustrypodcast.com
In this episode of Real Estate Radio Live, Joe Cucchiara sits down with Jack Russo for a direct, market-focused discussion on where real estate is heading and what it will take to unlock activity. They break down why Federal Reserve rate cuts don't immediately lower mortgage rates, what a move back into the mid-4% to 5% range could trigger, and how severely limited inventory, especially in Silicon Valley, continues to support pricing. Joe and Jack also examine rising foreclosures, the growing impact of homeowners locked into sub-3% mortgages, and why a potential shift later next year could bring more listings to market. Grounded in experience rather than headlines, the episode zeroes in on timing, readiness, and the real conditions that would finally get buyers and sellers moving again. And as you see that signal, the goal is [to] go refuel. Let me use this opportunity to go refuel. Perimenopause is the time to start getting some things in place to refuel: changing your diet, incorporating more protein, but also fiber. Looking at what you may be depleted in to refuel.” “I want to really change that narrative of what we do for our health, how we think of ourselves in health, and start those conversations earlier.” “I think resilience is key. But many times we have to practice it. We have to be expanded to come back, and if we don't allow for that growth, then we are not resilient. And we know that mentally and emotionally and physically, the body is built to be resilient, but we have to teach it that as well.” RESOURCES MENTIONED Order Dr. Shepherd's Book on Amazon HERE https://www.amazon.com/Generation-Living-Well-Perimenopause-Menopause/dp/1454954892 Order my new book: The Perimenopause Revolution https://peri-revolution.com/ Dr. Jessica Shepherd's Website Dr. Jessica Shepherd on Instagram Modern Meno on Instagram RELATED EPISODES 704: Hormone Intelligence for Women in Midlife: How to Thrive Through Perimenopause with Dr. Aviva Romm 690: The Perimenopause Revolution: Why midlife isn't the end — it's the beginning of your most energized, powerful, and vibrant self 689: The Hidden Brain Shift: Why Perimenopause Symptoms Start Earlier Than You Think 686: Your Second Puberty Explained: What's Really Happening to Your Body in Perimenopause

Dr. Izabella Wentz is a renowned pharmacist focused on thyroid health. In this episode, she reveals a shocking pattern: about 90% of people with Hashimoto's have alterations in how much cortisol they release throughout the day. They struggle with brain fog, chronic fatigue, and sleep issues—tired all day, wired at night—even when they're on thyroid medications. She's discovered something fascinating about "adrenal fatigue" that challenges both the old naturopathic model and the skeptics. Your adrenals aren't damaged or lazy…they're perfectly capable of producing hormones. "Adrenal fatigue" is an intelligent adaptive response where your body down-regulates cortisol production to protect itself from chronic stress, essentially saying, "This is unrealistic, we can't pump out high amounts of cortisol all the time." After being forced to find solutions during years of severe sleep deprivation with her son, Dr. Wentz developed a 4-week protocol that has now helped thousands of people. By week two, people report their anxiety dropping from an 8 to a 2. By week four, their libido returns and they feel transformed, all without hormones, complicated testing, or bags full of supplements.

AJ and Johnny unpack why great ideas often get rejected — even when the logic and data are flawless. The truth? You didn't lose the argument; you triggered someone's identity. In this episode, they reveal how ideas meet identity before logic, introducing two of the eight core competency identities that run every workplace: The Solver and The Protector. You'll learn how to read these identity patterns in meetings, frame your ideas for alignment instead of resistance, and move conversations forward without conflict. What a lot of women don't realize is you can be having hot flashes but not consciously registering you're having hot flashes. So a lot of women are being woken up by hot flashes they didn't realize they were having.” ”We desperately need more practitioners who can answer those questions for women, whether it's a more natural, holistic approach that does or doesn't include hormone therapy, antidepressants, or any of the other things. Because the other problem is that these doctors are often doling out pharmaceuticals for sleep.” ”We now know that the impact of declining estrogen and progesterone on the brain [and] on the nervous system absolutely has an impact on anxiety, depression, and sleep.” RESOURCES MENTIONED Order my new book: The Perimenopause Revolution https://peri-revolution.com/ Use code ENERGIZED and get 10% off on your MitoQ order https://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-101585564-17091761 Dr. Aviva Romm's Website Dr. Aviva Romm on Instagram Dr. Aviva Romm's Podcast: On Health RELATED EPISODES 701: Mood Swings, Brain Fog & Exhaustion: The Hormone Conversation You Deserve with Dr. Carrie Jones 690: The Perimenopause Revolution: Why midlife isn't the end — it's the beginning of your most energized, powerful, and vibrant self 689: The Hidden Brain Shift: Why Perimenopause Symptoms Start Earlier Than You Think 686: Your Second Puberty Explained: What's Really Happening to Your Body in Perimenopause 673: From Fatigued to Energized: Reclaiming Sleep in Midlife With Evidence-Based Solutions

In this episode, Tara is joined by Devon Kuntzman, author of Transforming Toddlerhood: Your Essential Guide to Age 1-5, to talk about what's really happening when a child loses it, and why so many of us feel completely stuck in those moments. Devon explains that when a child is at a “level 10,” they're in a full stress response. This isn't bad behavior or manipulation; it's a nervous system in overdrive. When kids are this overwhelmed, they're not capable of logic or reasoning, and they often don't even fully know what they're doing, which can be both frustrating and freeing for parents to understand. They also dig into why tantrums are not the time to lecture, punish, or try to make a point. No matter how calm or logical you think you're being, a child in a tantrum simply can't process it. Instead, Devon encourages parents to shift the goal from “teaching a lesson” to emotional regulation, starting with ourselves. When we understand our child's brain state and bring awareness to the moment, we're far more likely to help things settle rather than escalate. This conversation offers a compassionate, realistic approach to tantrums that helps parents feel less reactive, more regulated, and a whole lot less alone during that tricky period of toddlerhood. Can you remember the last time you could read a menu without squinting, holding it at arm's length, or borrowing someone's reading glasses? If you're wondering why your vision suddenly betrayed you in midlife (along with everything else changing in your body) this episode delivers answers you won't get at your typical eye exam. Dr. Rudrani Banik, a neuro-ophthalmologist with 20+ years of experience, reveals why our eyes go haywire during perimenopause and menopause, exposing the hormone connection your eye doctor probably never mentioned. Discover why dry eye isn't actually about tear production but about tiny glands with testosterone receptors, why those trendy eyelash extensions might be destroying your eye health, and the truth about whether sunglasses are really "endocrine disruptors" (spoiler: Dr. Banik tested it with a light meter). Learn the three-step eyelid hygiene routine that could save your vision, which eye drops actually work for presbyopia, and why that migraine aura isn't a stroke, even though it feels like one. Plus, get the insider truth about cataract surgery, when vision changes signal diabetes or serious neurological issues, and why you absolutely need a dilated eye exam (not just a glasses check). Dr. Banik shares her personal story of thinking she had a brain tumor at 54, only to discover it was her spine affecting her vision – proving everything really is connected in midlife. This interview took place on a historic day: the FDA removed the black box warning for HRT (hormone replacement therapy) after 20 years. My guest, Dr. Mariza Snyder, author of The Perimenopause Revolution, explains why this matters and why women have been suffering needlessly for decades while doctors dismissed their symptoms as "just aging" or "just stress." Perimenopause is the 4 to 10-year transition where hormones wildly fluctuate before menopause, and Dr. Snyder calls it "the window of vulnerability." She uses a powerful metaphor: imagine estrogen as your brain's master CEO who shows up like clockwork from 9 AM to 6 PM for 30 years. Then, suddenly, without warning, it shows up at 2 PM one day and leaves at 11 PM, then shows up at 6 AM the next day and leaves at 11 AM. Your brain scrambles trying to regulate energy, neurotransmitters, sleep, mood, and cravings. The most compelling insight of our conversation is a Mayo Clinic study that found 84% of menopausal women don't seek care. Why? Because they feel judged in the doctor's office. Dr. Snyder wrote her book as the roadmap she desperately needed when she started her own perimenopause journey, connecting symptoms to future health outcomes and providing practical solutions beyond just "you're getting older."
