Naomi Aldort, parenting coach, author and world renowned speaker, can help you raise resilient children who grow to be confident adults, rooted in themselves and not dependent on the approval of others.Increasingly, our kids are being taught to not offend, to be inclusive and to be triggered in many scenarios. Do we really think this is doing them a favour? The truth is, the real world can be an offensive place. We can never all be in agreement, and there will always be hard times to face. Would it not be more helpful to teach our kids how to go through hard times and to not depend on what others think of them or how they talk to them?Life can be pretty tough when one takes everything personally. I don't know about you, but I don't spend much time around people who seem to require me to walk on egg shells. If I can't have a real conversation and risk disagreement, then I'm not very interested in pursuing that relationship. This is where Naomi shines... in coaching parents how to raise children who are confident in their own skin and who feel right in the world, even if those around them might not be approving of them. It's time to focus on building resilience rather than fostering weakness! For more wisdom from Naomi, please see podcasts #'s 5, 6, 27 and 28.In this interview, Naomi shares with us:Why the topic of teaching resilience is so top of mind for herWhat Naomi sees as a result of young adults not being able to handle criticism and challengesThe issue of getting accolades with no meritThe pendulum swing in parenting as a result of parents wanting to give their children a better experience than they hadHow our programming started when we were babiesHow children are being taught to not be able to handle real lifeNaomi's approach to teaching children how to handle offensive commentsSensitivity vs. fear for self imageHow by cheerleading for our children we create fragile individualsHow we condition children to seek approval and to be victimsThe game Naomi created to help people accept being called namesWhy focusing on emotions too much is not a good thingHow we are unconsciously teaching our kids not to be able to handle rejectionThe importance of boredom and daydreamingThe importance of allowing our kids to experience some discomfort and challengesNaomi's view of bullies and bullyingThe importance of teaching kids that they can and will recover from their painThe importance of self-expression and not suppressing feelingsHow self-expression is not a means to an endHow self-censorship encourages bullyingNaomi's view of how being defensive is an act of warHow we raise children to be addicted to comfortThe importance of raising kids who can can handle real life, real people and criticismHow to empower them to face life and not rescue themand more! This is a super important and relevant topic always, but specifically in the time we live currently. Resilience used to be a trait we nurtured, but somehow we have allowed it to be swapped out for encouraging our kids to be easily offended, thereby cultivating a weak disposition. Please share this interview with people who can benefit from this point of view, we don't hear about it enough these days!Check out my store page for discounts on various products at: https://www.sovereigncollective.org/shop/Get in contact with Naomi Aldort:https://naomialdort.com/Buy Naomi's book:https://naomialdort.com/book/Find Naomi on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/naomi.aldorthttps://www.facebook.com/authenticparentIf you like what you heard here then please share! In this episode of the podcast, I was so excited to interview Naomi Aldort. Naomi is the author of Raising our Children, Raising Ourselves, which has been translated into 20 languages. She provides support and education for parents from around the world in sessions, workshops, web classes, lectures and running private intensive retreats. Her guidance is not about gentle ways to control a child, but about how to have peace without having to control. It is about a way of being and of understanding children so they can do their best, not because they fear us or seek our approval, but because they want to, of their own free will. Her approach has been praised as providing the best of The Work of Byron Katie and Nonviolent Communication combined, and more. She works with parents of children of all ages to create powerful parent-child relationships. Please note that this episode is not about Aware Parenting but about Naomi's approach to parenting. In this episode Naomi describes her SALVE formula for supporting ourselves and our children when behaviour is challenging so that we can be unconditionally loving to our children. Naomi describes how to support our children to express their feelings using her “Magic Words” and how crying is a physical and chemical release of feelings. Naomi give many examples of how to support our children with disappointment and pain in a way that builds emotional intelligence, resilience, trust in themselves and empowerment. We discuss helpful ways to respond when we make mistakes so we know we don't have to try to be perfect. And she offers some wonderful suggestions for how we can do our work to heal our pain so that we can be the parent that we want to be. To find out more about Naomi Aldort, please visit www.naomialdort.com, www.authenticchild.com and www.authenticparent.com and follow her on Facebook at Naomi Aldort and Instagram at naomi_aldort_parenting. A Criança Sempre Tem Razão! I always get so much out of my interviews with Naomi Aldort. The degree of respect she has for children makes her stand out among other educators, counsellors, parenting coaches, etc. She has undying faith in the natural unrolling of development and learning that occurs in children as they grow and mature if we simply let them be and allow them to choose.Naomi is a world-renowned parenting guide, speaker, workshop leader and author. She has travelled the world inspiring parents to truly 'see' their children and help them navigate their parenting journey to one of ease and peace. In this first part of our 2-part interview we focus on educating our children - what it really is and how it may not need be what you have always thought it should be.I guarantee this interview will cause you to look at how you parent and inspire you to question what education truly is. And I know you will appreciate the respect that Naomi brings to her approach to education and parenting in general.Even if you don't have kids, or your children have already gone through school, I think you'll get a lot out of this interview. In part one of this interview, we get into various topics, including:A list of what children 'learn' in school...and I don't mean the curriculum, but rather the unfortunate side effects and how they impact the development of children and their self- and world-viewsHow to mitigate these side effects and advocate for your child if you are in a position where you must put your child in schoolHow school is actually disrespectful of your child and dishonours their right and need to express their true selves and individualityHow the school system has impacted your parentingHow most alternative forms of school are rooted in an authoritarian modelDemocratic schools explainedThe ease of learning when the material is introduced at the appropriate ageThe importance of the child of devising their own methods of learningWhy you should not worry if your child is a late reader, and how learning to read a bit later can be beneficialNaomi's approach to when your child wants lessons, classes, etc.The question of teaching math and reading to your child, and of course, the big question of socialization if your child is not attending schoolNaomi's approach to birthdays"Every time you intervene, you ruin God's plan."~ Naomi AldortFor more on Naomi's work and to book a session with her:www.naomialdort.comwww.authenticparent.comNaomi's book:https://www.naomialdort.com/about-naomi-aldort/book.html----------------------------------------------------------Are you concerned about the future of our children? www.sovereigncollective.org/gettheguideI am excited to announce that I am re-releasing my online program, Your Conscious Pregnancy and Parenting Guide! This is a program I created after having my son in 2009 which consists of interviews with leading experts in the fields of energy and consciousness, genetics, pregnancy and birthing, nutrition, herbology, homeopathy, parenting and more. You will recognize names such as Dr. Bruce Lipton, David Wolfe, Daniel Vitalis, Naomi Aldort and more.If anything comes out of 2020, I hope it's a re-focus and re-evaluation of how we bring our children into this world, how we raise them and how we educate them. The future lies with our children and every time we interact with them we are literally 'touching the future', as Michael Mendizza says. This program has some new content, with more new content on the way. However, the bulk of the information contained within the program is timeless and is relevant to All humans at any time of their life.I used to sell this program for $297, but now, for a limited time, it is just $47 AND if you sign up by January 6th, 2021 at midnight, you get a spot for FREE for a live online nutrition class I am putting on at the end of January. In my opinion this is amazing value, so I hope you take advantage of it. The field of pre- and peri-natal psychology has given us insight into human development and behaviour for several decades now, but the information is yet to be mainstream. I intend to change that with this program and inspire parents and parents-to-be around the world to make their health, their children and their families a top priority.Thank you for checking it out. If you like what you find, please share around. I've made it affordable so that it is accessible to mostly everyone. This is information that NEEDS to be shared so that we can correct this crash course that humanity is on before it's too late. We have to decide to make it so!Here is where you can find it:www.sovereigncollective.org/gettheguideRemember, $47 for a limited time PLUS a free class if you sign up by end of day January 6th.I'd love to hear from you!support me: https://www.patreon.com/sovereigncollectiveemail me: support@sovereigncollective.org

Naomi and I continue our conversation about parenting in today's world, and we learn what she would do if her children were young in this current situation. Knowing that this option is not available to all, she also talks about other ways to ensure that the mental and physical health of our children remain intact.Naomi talks about harms that may come to children as a result of masks and why to encourage them to not take on a world view through the lens of the mask. She explains how children are resilient, how the home environment is key and how our power is taken from us in the areas pregnancy and parenting, and even from our children in how they are raised and educated. We end the conversation around how Naomi doesn't believe in 'believing' and how in order to believe something, it proves there is no evidence that it's true.Naomi is a wealth of knowledge and experience, having raised 3 boys via the approach she teaches. She has helped parents around the world reconsider their ideas around parenting and has helped them transform their family relationships.
