In Episode 155 of the Best Coach Ever podcast, we're getting into the not-so-sexy—but absolutely essential—topic of time management. If you've ever looked at your to-do list and thought, “LOL, yeah right,” this one's for you. After an accidental month-long podcast break (yes, even time management queens fall off sometimes), we're back with the behind-the-scenes of how to keep your business running like a well-oiled machine—even when life is chaos. We're walking through the exact system that keeps launches prepped, client results hot, and burnout far, far away. Think themed workdays, Thursday brain dumps, and Google Calendar realness. Because contrary to what your inner rebel might think, structure doesn't kill your creativity—it sets it free. We're done glorifying hustle culture and winging it until we crash. This episode is all about planning like a CEO so you can actually enjoy your weekends (imagine that). So if you're tired of playing calendar Jenga, dropping balls, or wondering how the heck other coaches “do it all,” grab your coffee, open that calendar, and let's get your time (and life) back under control. Let's make structure sexy again. In this episode, we cover:1) Why This Episode Took a Month to Record [0:00 - 4:35]- How skipping the podcast was actually a result of great time management.- The difference between prioritizing client service vs. “nice-to-haves” in business.2) Time Management Isn't a Personality Trait—It's a Skill [4:36 - 9:48]- Why structure matters (even for the type B, messy-desk girlies).- How being consistent builds a reputation and keeps your business running smoothly.3) Setting Work Days and Off Days (and Sticking to Them) [9:49 - 14:22]- The exact work week schedule that's helped me avoid burnout for 10 years.- Why having true time off creates urgency, productivity, and mental freedom.4) Thursday Brain Dumps & Weekly Planning Routine [14:23 - 20:05]- How brain dumping and reverse engineering your goals prevents overwhelm.- Plugging repeat and project-specific tasks into your calendar like a CEO.5) Why Google Calendar > Paper Planners [20:06 - 26:30]- The secret to tracking shifting deadlines without dropping the ball.- Real-life examples of how to reschedule tasks without guilt or chaos.6) When the Calendar Fails & What to Do About It [26:31 - 31:42]- How to bounce back when things take longer than expected or get pushed.- Identifying non-negotiables vs. “nice if they happen” tasks.7) Tips for Actually Following Your Schedule [31:43 - 39:07]- The “grow up with love” pep talk for when you don't feel like it.- Creating discipline by building systems that support how your brain works.8) The Power of Low-Dopamine Mornings & Themed Workdays [39:08 - End]- How your morning routine and screen time sabotage your productivity.- Why batching similar tasks together by day helps you stay in flow and avoid burnout.Connect with Lynette:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lynettemarieh Fitness Coaching Business Accelerator: https://fcbaprogram.comThe Wellness CEO Mastermind: https://wcmprogram.com

The cybersecurity industry often fixates on “behavior change,” expecting users to take on unrealistic tasks instead of designing safer, smarter systems. Matt Wallaert (founder of BeSci.io and author of Start at the End: How to Build Products that Create Change) explains behavioral science isn't about forcing behavior change. Instead, it's about understanding people so a thoughtfully-designed system can influence more secure outcomes.Whether you're a UX designer, a security engineer, or a CISO, you influence security behaviors. Here's how you can move towards more secure outcomes:Stay Ahead of Threat Actors: Cybercriminals use behavioral science to their advantage. People designing the security user experience must not only catch up but outpace them.Define Clear Outcomes: Don't just say “we want users to be secure.” Know exactly what behaviors you want and why. Vague goals lead to vague results.(as Matt explains, saying things like “I want people to be more secure” isn't helpful. In fact, many people don't know what “more secure” means in the context of their product or organization).Ask Better Questions: Use tools like the “sufficiency test.” For example, sure, it might be nice if users created complex passwords—but users don't necessarily have to be the ones doing it. Why can't the system create a complex password for them (as password managers do)?Understand promoting and inhibiting pressures. These concepts will help you design systems that are more resilient because they are built with people in mind. There are reasons people do and do not do things—when you understand why, you can develop systems that will be more effective in encouraging the behaviors you want. Security practitioners: tired of being perceived as the “department of no”? Matt explains how behavioral science can help you better collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.Bonus: UX designers, after this episode you may never create another persona.

In this episode, Caleb is joined by guest Oren Martin (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) to discuss a biblical theology of the land promise via Dr. Martin's book Bound for the Promised Land: The Land Promise in God's Redemptive Plan. Together, they discuss how, within the redemptive-historical framework of God's unfolding plan, the land promise advances the place of the kingdom that was lost in Eden. This promise also serves as a type throughout Israel's history that anticipates the even greater land, prepared for all of God's people, that will result from the person and work of Christ and that will be enjoyed in the new creation for eternity. Naomi Aldort, parenting coach, author and world renowned speaker, can help you raise resilient children who grow to be confident adults, rooted in themselves and not dependent on the approval of others.Increasingly, our kids are being taught to not offend, to be inclusive and to be triggered in many scenarios. Do we really think this is doing them a favour? The truth is, the real world can be an offensive place. We can never all be in agreement, and there will always be hard times to face. Would it not be more helpful to teach our kids how to go through hard times and to not depend on what others think of them or how they talk to them?Life can be pretty tough when one takes everything personally. I don't know about you, but I don't spend much time around people who seem to require me to walk on egg shells. If I can't have a real conversation and risk disagreement, then I'm not very interested in pursuing that relationship. This is where Naomi shines... in coaching parents how to raise children who are confident in their own skin and who feel right in the world, even if those around them might not be approving of them. It's time to focus on building resilience rather than fostering weakness! For more wisdom from Naomi, please see podcasts #'s 5, 6, 27 and 28.In this interview, Naomi shares with us:Why the topic of teaching resilience is so top of mind for herWhat Naomi sees as a result of young adults not being able to handle criticism and challengesThe issue of getting accolades with no meritThe pendulum swing in parenting as a result of parents wanting to give their children a better experience than they hadHow our programming started when we were babiesHow children are being taught to not be able to handle real lifeNaomi's approach to teaching children how to handle offensive commentsSensitivity vs. fear for self imageHow by cheerleading for our children we create fragile individualsHow we condition children to seek approval and to be victimsThe game Naomi created to help people accept being called namesWhy focusing on emotions too much is not a good thingHow we are unconsciously teaching our kids not to be able to handle rejectionThe importance of boredom and daydreamingThe importance of allowing our kids to experience some discomfort and challengesNaomi's view of bullies and bullyingThe importance of teaching kids that they can and will recover from their painThe importance of self-expression and not suppressing feelingsHow self-expression is not a means to an endHow self-censorship encourages bullyingNaomi's view of how being defensive is an act of warHow we raise children to be addicted to comfortThe importance of raising kids who can can handle real life, real people and criticismHow to empower them to face life and not rescue themand more! This is a super important and relevant topic always, but specifically in the time we live currently. Resilience used to be a trait we nurtured, but somehow we have allowed it to be swapped out for encouraging our kids to be easily offended, thereby cultivating a weak disposition. Please share this interview with people who can benefit from this point of view, we don't hear about it enough these days!Check out my store page for discounts on various products at: https://www.sovereigncollective.org/shop/Get in contact with Naomi Aldort:https://naomialdort.com/Buy Naomi's book:https://naomialdort.com/book/Find Naomi on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/naomi.aldorthttps://www.facebook.com/authenticparentIf you like what you heard here then please share! While we set life goals and business objectives to achieve success, it is our behaviors and ultimately the habits that we form that help us to get there. The consistent, repeated behavior that becomes habits are the small, steady steps that will take us to success. Habits shape who we are - our attitudes, actions, decision-making, and other aspects of our lives. So, it is crucial to build good habits if we want to make a positive transformation in our lives.    We are joined in this episode by behavioral science expert Samuel Salzer to help us understand the science of behavior and the power of building positive habits in helping us achieve success in whatever goal we've set. Because forming positive habits isn't always easy, Samuel gives us critical information on the science of building good habits, how they are formed, the strategies we can apply, and how we can set ourselves up for success by starting small. Let's begin our journey of transformation from “thoughtful to thoughtless” and ultimately, to success!   Key Points from This Episode: Samuel's backstory and upbringing What's the catalyst that led to Samuel's interest in behavioral economics while at the university in Australia? Samuel's insights on the science behind behaviors and habits. Where should people start if they are looking to make transformations and changes in their lives? Samuel explains the process of building a habit. Proactive and reactive strategies to build the push in beginning a task and becoming productive. Samuel discusses the “thoughtful to thoughtless” journey and how this can be powerfully and effectively utilized. Why it is valuable to take inventory of your current habits if you want to change or build new ones. Cornerstone habits that can give investors one of their highest ROIs. Samuel answers the Rare-Air Questionnaire.   Tweetables:   “Intentions are not the same as actions.” - Samuel Salzer   “Try to make the world better one good habit at a time.” - Samuel Salzer   “The basic formula for behavioral science is the person plus situation equals behavior.” - Samuel Salzer   “Habit is the behavior done automatically.” - Samuel Salzer    “Everyone is different and every situation is different. So you have to approach things from a contextual lens.”  - Samuel Salzer    “The most successful thing to do is to start small, and then build momentum and then build on that momentum.” - Samuel Salzer   “It's a journey from thoughtful to thoughtless.” - Samuel Salzer   “Repetitions form habits if they're done in the same time, same place, same context.” - Samuel Salzer   “We have a lot to change in our lives. We're not going to climb that mountain in one day. And so start small and start simply and allow yourself to build momentum.” - Tyler Chesser   Links Mentioned: Samuel Salzer on LinkedIn Samuel Salzer website Habit Weekly Habit Coach Pro Start at the End: How to Build Products That Create Change by Matt Wallaert Good Habits, Bad Habits by Wendy Wood Mistakes Were Made (But Not by Me) by Elliot Aronson Carol Tavris Dark Matter by Blake Crouch Invest with CF Capital   About Samuel Salzer Samuel Salzer is an experienced applied behavioral scientist and advisor helping value-driven organizations around the world to use behavioral science and behavioral economics to build great digital products and services. What is holding many banks and credit unions back from just doing the right thing by their clients? The unfortunate reality is that most financial institutions profit off of people's mistakes. Matt Wallaert, Founder of BeSci.io and author of Start at the End, believes everyone in finance has an intrinsic desire to help others. We're so thankful for the opportunity to share this keto way of eating as a couple. But, being a keto couple is no bed of roses. Just because we share a keto lifestyle doesn't mean we're always in perfect harmony. In today's episode we talk about what it's like to be a keto couple: the good, the bad and the ugly! 0:00-2:43 Does being a keto couple mean “happily ever after?” There's some good, bad and ugly aspects of being a keto couple. Don't have a fairy tale perspective of being a keto couple.  Having a partner doing keto with you doesn't necessarily provide the magic resolve for your own personal keto journey. ———————— 02:44—4:00How do I convince my partner to try keto? Be consistent in your own keto journey. ———————— 4:01-9:20What's good about being a keto couple? You know you're both trying to eat to better health. You don't have to constantly explain why you're eating what you're eating. Your home can be a safe place. We aren't trying to tempt one another or undermine each other's goals. We both define healthy food the same way now. It's possible you only have to make one meal. ———————— 9:21-18:00What's bad about being a keto couple? You may not get away with only making one meal because you have different tastes. One of you may be prioritizing health and the other is prioritizing weight. It can be a let down when keto doesn't fulfill that romantic cooking together fantasy. Meal prepping isn't like you imagine: playfully flicking droplets of water at each other.  ————— 18:01-25:31What's ugly about being a keto couple?   Do we let one another know when we're struggling? Not discussing struggles can lead to closet eating. What if one of you is losing weight faster than the other? Extended fasting can cause extra stress on the relationship. You have different hunger and satiation points. ————— 25:32 - endHow can a keto couple keep the peace? Stop shopping in your partner's journey. Keep the dialog open and honest. Don't make keto the only thing you do together. Schedule discussions about struggles instead of just allowing for random venting. Don't compare you and your partner to other keto couples. Choose a coach outside of the relationship. No person can “complete” you. Labor's End: How the Promise of Automation Degraded Work (U Illinois Press, 2021) traces the discourse around automation from its origins in the factory to its wide-ranging implications in political and social life. As Jason Resnikoff shows, the term automation expressed the conviction that industrial progress meant the inevitable abolition of manual labor from industry. But the real substance of the term reflected industry's desire to hide an intensification of human work--and labor's loss of power and protection--behind magnificent machinery and a starry-eyed faith in technological revolution. The rhetorical power of the automation ideology revealed and perpetuated a belief that the idea of freedom was incompatible with the activity of work. From there, political actors ruled out the workplace as a site of politics while some of labor's staunchest allies dismissed sped-up tasks, expanded workloads, and incipient deindustrialization in the name of technological progress. A forceful intellectual history, Labor's End challenges entrenched assumptions about automation's transformation of the American workplace.
