Special guest, Dan from from Open Doors, shared a number of inspiring stories from the persecuted church around the world as part of his message titled, 'God of the Impossible'. Just like the first church in the book of Acts, the church of today continues to grow despite violent persecution. In Acts 12, we read about the death of James and Peter's miraculous escape from prison. Even in the face of persecution, God continues to do impossible things. Nothing is impossible for God; therefore, all that we need to do is trust Him. The church were earnestly praying for the release of Peter and it happened; therefore, it is clear that our responsibility is to fervently pray courageous, even impossible, prayers today. God keeps his promises despite human inability.
This week Ps Sean focuses on The God Of The Impossible, having last week spoken about The God of The Immeasurable. The two messages follow on....when we see how immeasurable God is, we begin to also see how only He can put the "possible" into what we see as "impossible". God sees beyond the chaos, He sees a human being and says, ah, what you see is different to what I see, where you see impossibility, I see possibility! Ps Sean quoted William Temple, who was the Archbishop of Canterbury during World War II. He said "when I pray Coincidences happen". Coincidences are so linked with the fact that when we pray into situations and circumstances and believe for them, these so-called coincidences, these impossible situations all of a sudden, turn around and become possible. Ps Sean quotes the story of the rich young ruler in Luke 18:18-27....Jesus told him it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the Kingdom of God. So we all think we are doomed but Jesus then replied with "What is impossible with man is possible with God". In fact Jesus was talking about salvation, the greatest immeasurable impossible act Jesus could ever do. We cannot enter into the kingdom of God on our own, but with Him, we enter in to a new way of living. The second greatest remarkable act about God's presence is himself living in his people. We stand In this generation able to receive the Living God inside of us and walk with the power of the Holy Spirit. Ps Sean goes onto speak about the power of the Holy Spirit living inside us and how we can be a house of miracles when we fully trust in the living God.Listen to this challenging message...
We wrap up this worship series, "God of the Impossible," in which we looked at four different stories that share God doing impossible things and what may be possible from God using us. This week, we hear some powerful words from the letter to the Ephesians. Ephesians 3:20-21 is a transitional moment in this letter, and it is a fitting reminder as we enter this transitional time in our congregation. We are moving from the planning stage of our new building project and capital campaign to the implementation process. It is now time to stop dreaming and to get busy doing the work God is calling us to do. Thank you again for worshipping with us. In this worship series, "God of the Impossible," we look at four different stories that share God doing impossible things and what may be possible from God using us. This week, we look at the story of Joseph in Genesis and when he forgives his brothers, saving his family from famine. It is a powerful story of realizing forgiveness isn't really about the other person or people; it is about freeing ourselves from carrying the weight of the burden of when we have been wronged or harmed. It isn't easy, but it is the impossible work God can do in each of us. Thank you again for worshipping with us. Join us on a verse-by-verse study through the Book of Judges. This week continues the story of Gideon and his famous battle against the Midianites.
We start a new worship series this week called "God of the Impossible." We will look at four different stories that share God doing impossible things and what may be possible from God using us. This week, we look at the story of Peter talking with Jesus on the beach after the resurrection. It is here that Jesus gives him a new identity and reminds him of his calling. He offers forgiveness and grace in the shadow of Peter's denial. For Peter, Jesus does the impossible and gives him a new name and a new life. Thank you again for worshipping with us. Welcome to the Free Range Preacher on Prayer podcast. APodcast principalPaddock Focusing on Who is this King of glory, as many facets of God as He has revealed Himself, as we can in October.Special thanks to Richard for making me smile again, this last few days, and especially with the intro.Been delayed a little because of two events, one sad, and the other just inconvenient, but we are back and committed to catching up.New or old, thanks for listening., Thank you for listening. Our goal is to have short, contemplative episodes every day in October. If you are new, we receive excellent reviews each October. If you are returning, we hope that once again we are clear, broadening, and deepening our relationship with our Creator, Savior, and Teacher. This year, we are looking at just who the King of glory is and who the Son of man is as well. Important matters, for our redemption and for our community, in the presence of the Holy God of the Universe.Prayer, from our need to salvation to our need of preserverance to our daily needs, you have called us to trust and look to Thee, may our faith grow, as we see you are the God of the impossible. Amen Who can be saved?"Then who can be saved?" 27 Looking upon them, Jesus *said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."Mark 10:26b-27Who can be trusted to keep His word?"And the LORD said to Moses, 'Is the LORD'S power limited? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not."Numbers 11:23Who can be trusted to number our days to our good and His glory?"Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, 27 "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?"Jeremiah 32:26-27Who is the active creator, savior, and power over all creation. Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Neither is His ear so dull That it cannot hear.Isaiah 59:1Our 'so what' will essentially be the same every day of October. Once we read the verse, we will be encouraged to consider:Is the verse we share new to you? And:.How might you translate or apply this self-revelation of God to our joy, worship, confession, gratitude, and intercession in conversation with Him?What joy, peace, worship, faith come from knowing the God of the Universe is not only on our side, but the God of the impossible who is able accomplish all we entrust to Him. "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen"1 Timothy 1:17"What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more." We can often list the number of things in our life that seem impossible but Rosemary and Emma encourage us to hold on to our hope in God. Even in nature God shows us how He is God of the impossible. God’s thinking is way above our thinking. We can be encouraged by this because with God there is hope that our impossible situations can change.
Our God is the God of the Impossible. Rosemary encourages us that we can trust in a God who is able to do things that are beyond anything we can think or imagine!

Advent is a carved out season that helps us do two primary things. Firstly, we are invited to once again reflect on the incarnation of Christ. We take time to remember when Jesus was born over 2000 years ago. As John writes, we remember when God became flesh and dwelt among us. And then secondly, this season is about anticipating the fact that this same Jesus who was born, who lived, died and rose again, is coming back. Advent is about looking forward - not just to another Christmas morning but to the moment when Christ returns to make all things new. —All Gifts in August will be DOUBLED! Today, we highlight Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Glorious Lord in the Church around the world. Thank you all for listening. We are looking at the earthly conversations Jesus had, as recorded in the gospels, to see if we are able to glean anything useful for our prayer lives. Our latest segment comes from John chapter 2 and the wedding party at Cana. We find not only is He the God of the impossible, but He can accomplish multiple things through one prayer. The prayer of Mary, "They have no wine." Began a miracle, at least 180 gallons of good wine. Although the miracle was a "quiet one," it accomplished all Mary had prayed, but it set the beginning of the evangelist team God would use to turn the world upside down. "This beginning of His signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him." John 2:11Our So What? When we cast our prayers to the heart of our God, we scarce know how those prayers may be used in the plan of the Almighty. Therefore, we heed then the exhortations of E.M. Bounds and the apostle Paul:"Nothing is well done without prayer for the simple reason that it leaves God out of the account." " Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31Brethren, let's pray for one another. The episode ends at 16:50Greetings from the paddock to the United States, Canada, Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica. Geography not being one of my strengths, I did not realize so many countries are considered in North America, but here they are; thank you all for listening to the podcast and sharing in the kingdom's concert of prayer. The wedding of Cana demonstrates the impossible God doing the impossible! At Mary's enigmatic request, Jesus asserts that His time has not yet come. In the language of Mary and Jesus, that meant, "I'll take care of it." Jesus turned at least 120 gallons of water into the finest of wines in a moment. This miracle, however, was not for the masses, but for the wedding guests. For at least five of the guests, there was a special purpose, but today we learn:Our So What?We pray in faith, and looking to God for the answers, we will see those seemingly small miracles that the Biblical characters experienced, too. Next time, we will see how our simplest prayers sometimes ripple out to have meaning far beyond all our expectations. "Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21Brethren, let's pray for one another. "What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more." Why trouble the Teacher any further?” [36] But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.” [37] And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John the brother of James. [38] They came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and Jesus saw a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly. [39] And when he had entered, he said to them, “Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping.” [40] And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the child’s father and mother and those who were with him and went in where the child was. [41] Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” [42] And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement. [43] And he strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat. The close begins at 16.31Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, Thou dost know it all.Psalm 139:4We know God is omniscient, yet we hear one another telling God what He already knows when we talk to Him. The good news is that we see our Biblical examples engaging in the same thing. Why? We can get absorbed by our concerns or worship so much so we tell God what we know He knows. We see in the wedding a Cana, that all Mary said to Jesus was. "They have no wine." John 3:3Jesus, for His part, knew what she was asking. Our So What?He is what we are not, perfect. He understands our prayers, no matter how incomplete.
