Regularly we are seeing celebrities that are known for bringing light into the room being the ones taking their own lives. From Robin Williams to Kate Spade to more recently Twitch. It seems confusing. These are the people that make everyone happy. How is it that they are the ones committing suicide. It's not what we expect. As someone who has struggled with depression and suicide ideation I thought this was an important issue to talk about. My guest Kelly Gregory of Arena Counseling joined to have this conversation about what leads to suicidal thoughts and actions, the impact of these acts on loved ones and more. And we discuss my own issues with the darkness that led to my own attempts on my life. This episode goes deep and might be triggering for some but it's important information we can all use. We as usual have a cocktail during this episode but please remember that alcohol is a depressant and should not be used for self medication. Please contact a mental health specialist if you are suffering from any of the things discussed in this episode.SEASON 3 EPISODE 5 COCKTAIL RECIPE | Summer Sangria - 4 oz Pino Grigio - 1/2 oz Simple Syrup- 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps- 1/2 oz Triple Sec- 1 oz Apricot Brandy- 3 oz Club Soda- 1/2 oz St Germains- 1/2 Lime - 1/2 Lemon- Grapes for garnishFor all the latest contests and happening behind the scenes:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Karas-Lipsti... This week on an all new episode of Drunk Distory presents ‘The Dark Ride' we head on over to Anaheim, to find the little balsam boy hiding in blacklit plywood flats. This is our pleasure island; not a night club strewn wasteland in central Florida, but a dark ride, where classic golden age nostalgia meets bottom line budgets. So if you have ever wished upon a star for a fast pass or dining rez, you are ready to join us on a mad cap adventure where the story's villains are as numerous as the donkeys, and our love of a disappearing blue fairy is only outweighed by our love of Stromboli. That's right, we ain't lying. Go get your strings cut, cause were going all out on Pinocchio's Daring Journey! The ride that tells all little pleasure seeking boys n' girls, that if you're into candy and cigars, you may be turned into a donkey and forced to work the salt mines. Will Pinocchio, Jiminy and Geppetto get their happily ever after at the top of Drink That Ride, or will it all sink to the bottom in the belly of a whale? There's only one way to find out!
This is the time of year when its all about treats. Quality over quantity and even better making sustainable choices and supporting small producers. The British play safe and buy wines by the label that says Pino Grigio or Merlot without really understanding how wine is made drinking the same wine year in year out afraid to waste money on other wines that might equally bring quaffable delights to the palette. In this episode of the Food and Drink Show Karen Shields Morton shines the light on Sussex producers and retailers of fine food and drink. Mouth watering handmade chocolates going behind the scenes to understand how flavours are brought to life with the Brighton Cocao Company; a lesson in choosing wines with Seven Cellars and upping your game on cheese selection such as brie with a twist brought to your table by The Cheese Man. Lots of stories, insights and jolly great advice to help you be brave and try something a little bit different with confidence. Ready for some mouth watering adventure?
Today's podcast episode features someone special in the Willamette Wine community, being one of the first winemakers in the Ribbon Hill region/sub-AVA, Bruno Corneaux. Pair stunning views with incredible Rose’, Chardonnay, Pino Grigio and Pinot Noirs and friendly staff and we were in wine country heaven! While wine tasting, we learned about Bruno and his childhood in Burgundy, France and then working in wineries around the world, and then starting Domaine Divio in 2014 . . . we just knew we had to come back and have him as a guest on our podcast! Today, Bruno is the director of winemaking at NW Wine Company in Dundee and owner and winemaker at Domaine Divio Winery in Newberg, Oregon. For photos and more information about Bruno and Domaine Divio, visit: www.candelariadesign.com/inspiring-living-podcastdomainedivio.com

Welcome to episode 7! The evidence in this one is severly lacking and we're learning that it is a little too possible to disappear without a trace. Yikes! Ariana tells us about the vanishing of Madison Scott from a camping trip, and after that Alexandra discusses the disappearance of Brian Shaffer, who went missing at what must be the best-named bar of all time. Pop open a bottle of Pino Grigio, find your exit buddy, and prepare to be unsatisfied (ladies, you know what we're talking about).
Comedy legend Elayne Boosler grabs a Pino Grigio and joins us in the basement! We're still reeling from Steph's holiday party and Elayne has a few words for Ms. Lily Tomlin. She also rails that it's okay to be fat now. Do you know how many pizzas this woman could have been eating? She shares some stories about Robin Williams and Andy Kaufman and tells how it was Bill Clinton and Maya Angelou who brought her and her future husband together. This episode is brought to you by Casper mattress.
