NotesThe Komboucha Girl was sick of seeing her face back in 2019, and yet here we are. Hozier in concert was great, even if his parents were not stars on the NBC soap, Days of Our Lives. That was John and Marlena. The visuals on Eat Your Young and Nina Cried Power were especially moving and inspiring. Someone made a playlist of the Nina Cried power songs, and now is a great time to listen to protest music. The impact 50 Shades had on the sales of ties (and other things) was real. An article from MEL about the wet problem, not just in romance, I guess. (that's a NSFW link based on the headline and content, okay.) Butts tie these two clips together: Miranda on SATC on “are we doing this now?” and Tom Hanks in Sleepless in Seattle thinking “some lady is going to want to do it her.” But overall, spit is important. Fucking her ass, saving her life is a quote from a Shayla Black book and this amazing review from Smart Bitches, Trashy Books. Truly a Romancelandia classic. In Episode 136, astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take a deep dive into the enduring 28-year coupling between Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her Tony Award winning husband, Matthew Broderick. We begin with Sarah's chart, revealing a trendsetting Aries Sun conjunct Venus, highlighting her pioneering spirit and strong valuation of independence. Her Capricorn Moon points to childhood hardships and an emotional need for a solid career and reputation, while Saturn in Pisces brings structure to a romantic, glamorous world—much like the one she created in SATC. Matthew's chart also features an Aries Sun and Venus, but it's opposed by a Libra Moon, softening his Aries energy and contributing to the schoolboy charm he's known for. A stabilizing Saturn/Moon trine suggests maturity in his home life, and an Aquarius stellium reveals a zany, rebellious side. Together, their conjunct Suns create a powerful mirroring effect, and a Sun/Moon opposition provides a supportive, comfortable, and emotionally secure foundation. A Moon/Chiron sextile indicates a profound ability to heal each other, while Moon/Neptune shows an intuitive sync. However, mutually challenging Venus/Moon aspects can create difficulties in domestic agreements, and a Mercury/Pluto opposition may bring tendencies toward paranoia and secrecy. So, how does this iconic couple's synastry ultimately rate? Tune in to discover the final Venus score we gave them! Book a Reading with us! A pregnant cast member, and a shocking reveal about Rob Andrews! Tori tells us why SATC star Jason Lewis only did a handful of episodes. And, did Donna Martin just get the green light to make it "official" with David? We think so. Plus the Kelly storyline that was just absurd, and some backstory on the flashback scenes with David and Donna. Apparently, Season 7 Episode 22 "A Ripe Young Age" wasn't ripe enough.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Sarah Jessica Parker has spent decades as Carrie Bradshaw, but here’s the twist: she’s never actually watched herself do any of it. Not the sex, not the shopping, not even the typing. So is it the ultimate act of self-care, or just a lil bit lazy? Plus, everyone’s talking about texting less—until they’re the ones left on read. We unpack the modern crisis of communication overload, from parenting to work to friendships, and why it’s never as simple as just putting your phone down. If you thought podcasts were just for your ears, think again. Vodcasts are taking over and we feel… conflicted about it. Are you sick of our faces yet? We certainly are. We had so much fun revisiting season 2 of SATC; a season that had no right to be so good in its sophomore year! As we wait for AJLT S3 with baited breath, we decide to use this interim week to do a deep dive on the more mundane and (in many cases) more toxic pieces of the SATC universe: THE MEN. Now, slight disclaimer here: we used a pre-existing list so some very glaring omissions were accidentally made here (ahem...Richard?) but we can't be spending any more time thinking about straight men than we already do, okay? What do you guys think? Are our picks fair? Controversial? Dumb? Let us know! But keep it cute! Remember...we are sensitive! (But not as sensitive as some of the men on this list). In Dinner for Shoes episode 69, host Sarah Wasilak invites founder of Brie, Malka Goldfein, onto the podcast for Earth Month. Brie is an online thrift store that Malka launched in 2021 to make a positive impact by supporting charities and keeping fashion waste out of landfills. With each purchase, shoppers are invited to dedicate a portion of their sale to an organization that helps to combat climate change and save the planet. Welcome back to the Morning After Series on SUPERWOMEN, sponsored by Magnum Ice Cream! In the second episode of this four-part series, Candace Bushnell, the creator of “Sex and The City,” and I sat down with the fashion icon Nicky Hilton Rothschild, to talk about her experiences with dating and how “SATC” has shaped her life. Nicky is a New Yorker, born and bred. She grew up in the city secretly watching “Sex and The City” when she was a teen, and blowing her entire allowance at Patricia Field's boutique in Greenwich Village on Saturdays with her sister Paris. But her love life hasn't mirrored that of the show's leading ladies. “I wish I had some more salacious stories for you, but I was always that monogamous girl. I was always in, like, a multi-year relationship,” she tells us, “so I didn't get to play in the Manhattan dating playground.” Nicky gives us the scoop on the best places to meet elusive bachelors, how she knew she met The One, which “SATC” character she sees herself in, her cameo that never was, and the one fashion item she still scours the Internet for.Magnum Double Raspberry bars are the perfect indulgent treat for chocolate and fruit lovers this Valentine's Day! Welcome to the Morning After Series on SUPERWOMEN, sponsored by Magnum Ice Cream! In this four-part series,Candace Bushnell, the creator of “Sex and The City,” and I are going to be chatting about everything from career and adulting to relationships, friendships, and, of course, love (or the struggle to find it) here in New York City. Plus, we'll have some awesome guests joining us on the podcast.Candace first captured the lives of beautiful, ambitious, single women in the city through her column in theNew York Observer, which later became the basis of her bestselling book and hit HBO series. But, before “Sex and the City” became one of the biggest cultural phenomenons in modern history, it was simply the reality of Candace and the women around her—navigating life in a city full of all kinds of possibilities. In this episode, Candace dives into the lasting impact of her work, the pains of modern dating, why successful women still struggle to find great men in Manhattan, and what it means to be your own Mr. Big. She also gives us the scoop on who she thinks the Carrie Bradshaw of today is, what series she thinks is the “SATC” for Gen Z, and her upcoming one-woman show, “True Tales of Sex, Success, and Sex and the City.” Magnum Double Raspberry bars are the perfect indulgent treat for chocolate and fruit lovers this Valentine's Day! Claire Sullivan is a designer, creative consultant, and founder of the design label Miss Claire Sullivan. She grew up loving fashion and has a penchant for dramatic, voluminous designs. It's no surprise, then, that after working as the co-creative director of the streetwear label Vaquera, she founded her own atelier, where she creates dynamic, one-of-a-kind designs. In the past year, she's generated several iconic red carpet moments, such as Addison Rae's padded bustier with a big tulle skirt. Her pieces have also been worn by the likes of Chappell Roan, Kylie Jenner, and Camila Cabello. This week, Sullivan joins Who What Wear Editorial Director Lauren Eggertsen to discuss her earliest style influences, what it's like to design custom pieces for her clients, and how she created an Anna Wintour–approved dress made out of maps for Hailey Bieber.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
