John welcomes legendary music and pop culture writer, thinker, and theoretician Chuck Klosterman to talk about the runaway success of the Oasis reunion tour and why America is suddenly gaga for the band 30 years after its peak. For those too young to remember the Britpop era or too addled to recall it clearly, Klosterman explains just how huge Oasis was back then; how the Internet and social media conspired to keep the perpetually feuding Noel and Liam Gallagher relevant even after the band broke up in 2009; and why, though the Oasis renaissance is surely being fueled by nostalgia for the 1990s—a decade about which Klosterman wrote the bestselling cultural history “The Nineties”—it's also about something deeper and more ineffable. The forces of the devil are always trying to get in your way, trying to ruin your life just because you are a follower of Jesus! Pastor Jeff reminds you today that the devil has been given a level of control over this world and that he uses every resource available to him to create stumbling blocks and pitfalls for the community of believers worldwide. But the power that the Holy Spirit gives can help you overcome those roadblocks and live a fulfilling life in spite of the enemy's attacks against you!
In the legal system, laws need to be very specifically written out to avoid problems with their interpretation. Loopholes can be taken advantage of to avoid paying taxes, avoid providing a safe workplace, or even to avoid food safety standards. But Pastor Jeff reminds you that God's system of laws and regulations can be wrapped into one commandment: to love others as God loves you. If you apply that commandment to your entire life, He will bless your life in ways you couldn't dream of!
Listen in to this great conversation with singer songwriter John Allan! The post Ep. 184 – How John Allan overcomes song writer's block first appeared on WorshipFuel.
Today's promise: 1 John 5:4 In the name of Jesus, you are an overcomer. You can walk in victory today through the power of Christ in you. As a Christian, you walk in victory, overcoming the world. You overcome temptation, sin, and every attack that comes against you. Your victory doesn't come from discipline, hard work, or effort. Your victory comes through faith in Christ Jesus. Every day, you face the powerful enemy of the world. I'm not talking about the physical world; there is nothing wrong with mountains, rivers, or beautiful sunsets. I'm talking about the world system or culture. The same faith that saved you is the same faith that brings victory in your daily living.

In a world filled with uncertainty, 1 John 5 reminds us that true confidence is found in Christ alone. This final message in the That You May Know series teaches that genuine belief in Jesus leads to spiritual rebirth, loving obedience, and victory over the world. Pastor Philip encourages believers to cling to God's testimony about His Son, live in assurance of eternal life, and boldly pray according to God's will. With a faith grounded in the water, blood, and Spirit, we can walk in victory and live with unshakable hope.
What are two foundational words for describing biblical faith? Hebrews 11:1 gives us the answer. It reads, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Whenever you find people with assurance and conviction, you will find people of faith.

Evangelist Grant Hardeman- A sermon preached Wednesday Evening, on July 9, 2025.
In John 11, we see that trusting in Jesus pushes back fear, reveals God's glory, and leads us into purpose. This message reminds us that His love gives us perspective, His guidance brings protection, and His power overcomes fear. Let's put our fears to death—so we can truly live for Christ.

The empty tomb changes everything. When Jesus conquered death through resurrection, He didn't just complete His earthly mission - He transformed human existence itself by proving that death has lost its ultimate power. In this deeply meaningful exploration of Mark 16, we confront the varied reactions to Jesus' resurrection. The women fled in fear. The disciples refused to believe. Even after multiple eyewitness accounts, many remained skeptical until personally encountering the risen Christ. This pattern of initial disbelief followed by life-altering conviction mirrors how many people respond to resurrection claims today. But what made the disciples willing to later face torture and execution without recanting? What transformed these frightened followers into bold witnesses ready to die for their testimony? Only the undeniable reality of having seen, touched, and spoken with the resurrected Jesus can explain such extraordinary commitment. The theological implications stretch far beyond mere historical curiosity. As Paul writes, "If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile." The resurrection validates Jesus' claims about His identity, demonstrates His power over death, and guarantees the future resurrection of all believers with glorified, imperishable bodies. It's the firstfruits promise that transforms our understanding of both life and death. This resurrection hope provides profound perspective when facing life's greatest challenges. If Jesus conquered humanity's ultimate enemy - death itself - then what problem in your life could possibly be too great for Him to overcome? The empty tomb reminds us that God's power extends beyond any limitation we might imagine.Jesus' final commission calls believers to share this good news throughout the world, a mission that continues today. His ascension to sit at God's right hand confirms His royal authority, the completion of His redemptive work, and His promise to return as King.Have you encountered the risen Christ? Has the reality of resurrection transformed how you view your problems, your future, and your purpose?
