What the New Disney World Ticket Pricing Will Mean for YouBeginning December 8, Walt Disney World will introduce park-specific pricing on 1-day, 1-park tickets. This means you will now have to select a date and theme park before buying your park ticket. When you buy a 1-Day ticket for a specific date and theme park, a theme park reservation will automatically be made for you at the time of purchase. For Disney travelers who buy multi-day Walt Disney World tickets, nothing will change and you will continue to make theme park reservations.With the new park-specific pricing, Magic Kingdom Park will be priced at the highest level as it still the crown jewel and the most-visited theme park in the world. One-day Disney World ticket prices will be as follows:  Disney's Animal Kingdom: $109-$159 (same range as today) Disney's Hollywood Studios: $124-$179 EPCOT: $114-$179 Magic Kingdom Park: $124-$189  (Note: The $189 price for the week of Christmas to New Year's.) Park Hopper Add-on On December 8 there will also be new pricing for Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus add-ons. Annual Passes   On December 8, Annual Pass pricing for the Incredi-, Sorcerer and Pirate Annual Passes will increase between $43-100. The Disney Pixie Dust Pass will remain at its current price. The Disney Pixie Dust Pass remains available for purchase, but the other three Annual Passes are still not for sale. All Annual Passes continue to be available for renewal. --Disney Dining: New Same Day Cancellation PolicyYou can now cancel dining reservations up to two hours before your meal without being charged a cancellation fee.Use the My Disney Experience app or DisneyWorld.com and click the cancellation button up to two hours prior to your scheduled time to cancel free of charge. If they don't cancel by then or don't show up, the credit card provided at the time of reservation will be charged a $10 fee per person.Note there are some exclusions. This does NOT apply to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Victoria & Albert's and Monsieur Paul. Each of these venues has its own dining cancellation policy.--Disney Cruise Line Announces Acquisition of Ship with Plans to Visit New MarketsDisney announced they acquired a partially completed ship that will bring Disney Cruise Line to new global destinations. Disney will work with the Meyer Werft shipbuilding company to complete the cruise ship previously known as the Global Dream in Wismar, Germany. The ship will be renamed with certain features reimagined under the world-renowned expertise of Walt Disney Imagineers and is expected to set sail in 2025. The new ship will be based outside the United States.--Mickey's Toontown to Reopen at Disneyland Park on March 8, 2023The official reopening date of Mickey's Toontown in Disneyland Park is March 8, 2023.Highlights include: Goofy's How-To-Play Yard, including a sound garden where kids will discover new ways to make noise and enjoy an all-new elevated clubhouse inside there will be an interactive candy-making contraption that begins outside of Goofy's home, as drips of honey fall from a beehive onto a chute that slides the colorful drops around and down into the home. Junior candymakers will help Goofy make the candy. Donald's Boat will be perched in the duck pond of the Goof homestead. Kids will enjoy making a splash here. Chip ‘n' Dale's GADGETcoaster is a fun-sized coaster for the town's tiniest citizens. At Mickey's House and Minnie's House you'll still be able to step inside to enjoy a self-guided tour. Disneyland Adventureland Treehouse will Return with a New Look in 2023There are more details about the future of the treehouse in Adventureland at Disneyland park.When it reopens in 2023 the Adventureland Treehouse will be themed after Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson tree house--just as it is in Walt Disney World. This is likely because Disney is working on a remake of the 1960 movie as a new Swiss Family series on Disney+.The renewed treehouse will have new environments created among the branches of the giant tree on the shores of the Jungle River. From the mother's music den to the young sons' nature room to the teenage daughter's astronomer's loft, everything is created from found objects, natural resources, and pure ingenuity (just like the Disney fairies do). Wet the rim of a cocktail glass and dip it in coarse salt. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the vodka, St. Germain and grapefruit juice and shake until chilled. Strain into the salt-rimmed glass and garnish with a grapefruit slice and rosemary sprig. “The Hot Mess Express” cocktail aka The Jen Yozwiak >> Procure the largest bottle of Prosecco available, open that bad boy up and dump it into any glass you can find. Add a few raspberries (mulled or muddled, preferably) and throw a rosemary sprig in for good measure. Corpse Reviver #2 cocktail >> Absinthe, to rinse; 3/4 ounce London dry gin; 3/4 ounce Lillet blanc; 3/4 ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec); 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed. Rinse the inside of a chilled coupe or cocktail glass with absinthe, discard the excess and set the glass aside. Add the gin, Lillet blanc, orange liqueur and lemon juice into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. In Part I, we examined the origins of sour taste perception and tracked a number of the Margarita's precursors, including grog, the Crusta, and the Daisy. In this installment, we explore sugar, the Margarita's chief technology, and trace it through a number of formula changes to understand how this cocktail hacks our innate biology and psychology. To get to the heart of how the Margarita works, we need to start asking questions like: Where does a traditional “sour” stop and a margarita begin? Is the salted rim optional, essential, or something else entirely? And Should we think of this as a cocktail to be served “up,” “on the rocks,” or does it not really matter? All of this might seem to boil down to a simple question of definitions, but in fact, if you follow the evolution of the Margarita and its ingredients and proportions over time, you begin to realize that the look and feel of a Margarita is a wonderful core sample of the culture and values of any given time and place.

But ... the day is saved by this week's cocktail; a Prosecco Margarita! ~ 1/2 cup lime juice (fresh is best) ~ 1 cup tequila ~ 1/2 cup Triple Sec ~ 1 bottle of chilled Prosecco Mix all ingredients into a large pitcher and combine well. Run a lime wedge around the edge of your glasses and dip them (the glasses that is) into salt. Serve with lime garnish and enjoy! This week we are throwing it back to a movie that just celebrated its 30th anniversary, the Ridley Scott film Thelma & Louise starring Geena Davis (Thelma) and Susan Sarandon (Louise). For those of you that haven't seen this classic, it's about two best friends that set out on an adventure, but it soon turns around to a terrifying escape from being hunted by the police, as these two girls escape for the crimes they committed. They are each other's "ride or die" literally and this is well before The Fast and The Furious franchise came out. It also stars Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen, Christopher McDonald, Stephen Tobolowsky, Jason Beghe, and even Brad Pitt. Girls Night Out (twocrumbsup.co): Ingredients 2 oz Wild Turkey Coke to fill Maraschino Cherry to garnish Shot of Wild Turkey on the side... 2 oz Jose Cuervo Silver 1 oz Triple Sec 2 oz Lime Juice 1 tsp Agave Syrup Ice Salt for the Rim Slice of Lime Shot of Cuervo on the side... Directions Louise's order is relatively simple-- girl doesn't have time for anything fancy, she wants to DANCE. Pour whiskey over ice, top off with coca cola, and garnish with a cherry. For Thelma's margarita, first run a slice of lime around the rim of your glass to moisten it. Then, dip the glass in salt to coat the rim. Next, mix tequila, triple sec, lime juice, agave, and ice in a cocktail shaker-- shake vigourously until fully chilled, and pour into salted glass. Add more ice and garnish with a slice of lime. Serve both drinks with their respective shots and get ready to BEAT A MAN'S ASS. Drinking Game (suggestions I found on twitter): A shot every time somebody says "Dammit Thelma!" Chug at "Driiivvvvee Louise!" Do a shot when they mention Texas. Drink when they slag off a man. Drink when they mention Mexico. Drink when Louise is snarky to someone and Thelma is naive. This week is on the cult classic The Boondock Saints, hopefully you have seen this movie by now, its been out for over 20 years. If you haven't seen it, the synopsis is... Tired of the crime overrunning the streets of Boston, Irish Catholic twin brothers Conner (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (Norman Reedus) are inspired by their faith to cleanse their hometown of evil with their own brand of zealous vigilante justice. As they hunt down and kill one notorious gangster after another, they become controversial folk heroes in the community. But Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe), an eccentric FBI agent, is fast closing in on their blood-soaked trail. "And shepherds we shall be. For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee. And Teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Fili, et Spiritus Sancti." The Boondocks Saints Cocktail (greatcocktailrecipes.net): 1 oz. Rum 4 oz. Tequila 2 oz. Vodka 1.5 oz. Triple Sec 2 oz. Lemon Juice 1 Tbsp Sugar Top with Soda Water Drinking Game (boondocksaints.com): Mandatory Drinks Drink whenever: You see simul-action. This could be two people simultaneously lighting cigarettes, putting on shirts, or putting bullets through someone's eye-holes. There is a religious reference. For example, this whole movie. You notice blatant ethnic stereotyping. Or, we're mistaken, in which case drink whenever you learn something new about a culture. Someone speaks in a different language. When homeschooling your children, it's important that they learn Latin, Italian, and how to double-tap bad guys. You hear three or more f-words in a phrase or sentence. Something like “Fuckin' — What the fuckin'. Fuck. Who the fuck fucked this fucking… How did you two fucking fucks…?” Rocco freaks out. You could argue that drinking should occur every time Rocco's on screen, but then your liver would liquefy and we'd feel bad. Willem's a total DICK. How many times has that word held you back? As in saying to yourself I'm too old, or I'm too young, it's too late, it's too early, I'm too fat, or perhaps as has happened to me on numerous occasions someone has accused you of being too much.  In this episode we take a look at the thought process around using the word too in order to describe our age, our appearance, our personality and so much more - and then letting the “degree as to be regrettable” for each of those things stop us from creating big change in our lives and careers.  Age is just a number, weight is just a number and you will never be too much for someone who can't get enough of you. The Drink of the Week: Long Island Iced Tea and the Blue Long Island This drink is a hot mess combination of Vodka, Gin, Rum and Tequila topped with Triple Sec because four alcohols wasn't enough and a splash of coke. You take a sip of this and your tastebuds literally scream LET'S GET LIT and wake up with a hangover and regret. As promised, we've got both of our margarita recipes to share with you here in the show notes. Steven's "classy" margaritas:  2 oz Herradura Blanca or Casa Migos  1 oz Cointreau 1 oz Lime Juice ½ oz Agave ¼ oz egg white (optional) Shake. Salt rim. Done. Amy's "trashy" margaritas: 2 - 6oz frozen "Five Alive" citrus concentrate 2 - 3oz Triple Sec 2 - 6oz Tequila Fill a blender with ice and the first batch 6oz of Five Alive, 3oz of Triple Sec, and 6oz of Tequila. Pour into a freezer-safe pitcher and set aside. Repeat with the second batch of ingredients, but with no ice. Add to the first batch in the pitcher, and place the pitcher into the freezer until it reaches your favorite level of slushiness. Serve and hold on to your hats! Meanwhile, we respond with drinking coffee laced with Cream de Cacao and Triple Sec from 1993 at Liz's house on the 4th of July, while Chicago fireworks periodically interrupt.
