May the God of Wonders Bless You!

Do you feel like our world needs a revival? You're not alone if you do. Between wars, riots, racial issues, shootings, looming recession, sexual immorality and scandals, it seems like society is falling apart. In times like these, we need to consider what a true revival would be. In this episode, Pastor Chris Kipp teaches a message entitled "True Revival" from Psalm 24. At the first Christmas, wise men came searching for the one âborn king of the jews.â Psalm 24 describes the nature of that promised King who rules and reigns now and forever. Jesus as our promised Savior takes care of the sin and shame of our past. As the promised Shepherd he tends us as his sheep in our daily lives. But itâs in his kingly rule that he dominates our lives now and forever, securing our future. From Psalm 24 we learn that Jesus the King is great. The whole earth declares his greatness and glory, which we can see in the details and beauty of his creation. The King is good, as evidenced in his finished work on the cross which saves by grace through faith. Finally, the King is glory. That glory is experienced in our present lives only in flickering moments, but will be forever secure in our future, drawing every sorrow.

God own's everything and we are just stewards. How we manage God's resources shows our love for God. The more we give the more joy we will find in giving away what is not ours in the first place.

The gate-keeping attribute of God is holiness. All the other attributes rely on it. Without holiness, none of them are meaningful. Once you experience God's holiness, God's love, mercy, justice, grace, glory, etc. all become more than meaningful. They become inspiring. Dr. Sams challenges us today with this truth: we are nothing without God, and with God, we have all we need.
