In Episode 33 Season 2, Holly and Gemma talk about Murder Manhunts with some sneaky country leavers. Holly covers Shane O'Brien who didn't have a bank account - which blows Holly's mind, followed by Gemma's telling of the bizarre murderer Luka Magnotta who was recently the subject of the Netflix documentary 'Don't F**k with Cats'. https://twitter.com/NetflixUK/status/1207347943298256896The girls handle criticism well in the morning recording session, Gemma goes HULK about men in clubs, Holly invents the term 'Kraying it', time travel breaks the girls and the final decision is hard this week due to the brutality of both cases. Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who doesn't like whispering when the girls are recording. He's a very fussy producer. Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who will now only be spoken to in big shouty words.www.whichmurderer.comWARNING - Explicit language, content and themes (plus whatever else will cover us legally). NHL pre-season is in full boring swing, but all people want to talk about is kneeling during the anthems and visiting the White House. Ryan, Dave and Geeta gather this week to discuss a couple things. Ryan asks if Alex Edler is actually very good? And puts a request into the fancy stats community to help him figure this out. They also discuss the pre-season games in China and whether they were successful or had much of an impact. They discuss Joffrey Lupul's Instagram controversy and if this long term injured reserve is a new way NHL teams can thwart the cap? They also discuss Shane O'Brien's time in Vancouver and the ongoing problems in Colorado (mainly signing Nail Yakupov). Finally, the gang discusses the Pittsburgh Penguins' decision to visit the White House and the unusual timing shortly after The Golden State Warriors decided not to go (or were uninvited based on who you ask). They touch on anthem protests, and give their own opinions on what is disrespectful in the world of pre-game anthem protests in sports right now. Enjoy! If you're a $5 or more backer on Patreon, you can continue listening to this episode on "5 Minutes For Paying". Geeta discusses a date and Ryan talks about his weekend of CFL football and MLS action, which one was MUCH better... and PON's fancy new mixer (paid for by you, the Patreon backers!) This past week the Anaheim Ducks made contracts with many players. Anaheim re-signed Chris Wagner and Michael Sgarbossa to one year deals each. Julius Nattinen was signed to a three year entry level contract. The Ducks also picked up free agent Shane O'Brien who was with the Ducks in the 2006-07 season. The biggest news was the 6 year $41.25 million extension given to Ryan Kesler. How will this signing affect the Ducks team for years to come? Eddy and I take a look at the Kesler deal and how it will affect the Ducks now and in the future. We also take a look at the other signings and how the Ducks line-up could look next year. We also discuss some other Ducks team and NHL news.
