Chris Trott spent 20 years fitting golf clubs for the best players on the planet — from Dustin Johnson to Brooks Koepka to Tiger Woods. Now he's running the Trot Shop, a tour-style fitting trailer in San Diego, and what he's seeing from everyday golfers is blowing his mind.In this episode, Trottie pulls no punches on why most club fitting is broken, why shorter shafts outperform what OEMs sell at retail, and the myths he's spent a career dismantling — tipping, puring, shaft flex, lie angles, and the obsession with launch monitors over eyes and ears. He also shares the full story: from the pro shop at Hoylake that turned him away, to a chance encounter at the Belfry that landed him on the European Tour, to writing Tiger Woods' podcast script and nearly breaking his Scotty Cameron. If you're a coach, a fitter, or just someone who wants to actually understand the clubs in your bag — this one's essential listening.
Moderation: Anja Backhaus Von WDR 5.
A woman closes up her dress shop on a quiet November evening in Rochford, Essex, and heads out to run a simple errand for a friend. It should have been an ordinary trip, one of those everyday moments no one thinks twice about. But somewhere between locking the door and reaching her car, 63-year-old Norah Trott was attacked and left dying in a lane just yards from her own home.By the early hours of the next morning, her body had been discovered behind the Old Ship pub, sending shockwaves through the close-knit town. Detectives launched a huge murder investigation which saw thousands of people questioned, and witnesses reported seeing a suspicious young man carrying Norah's blood-stained bag. Yet despite the urgency and scale of the inquiry, the killer vanished. In this episode of British Murders with Stuart Blues, we explore the murder of Norah Trott and the decades-long investigation that followed. From the frantic early police search in 1978, to hypnosis sessions with a key eyewitness, evolving suspect sketches, and repeated cold case reviews, this is a story of persistence in the face of multiple dead ends. We examine the fear that gripped Rochford, the brutality of the attack, and how investigators refused to let Norah's case be forgotten even as the decades rolled on.We also break down the extraordinary forensic breakthrough that finally solved the case. Thanks to advances in DNA technology and the National DNA Database, evidence preserved from the original crime scene was re-tested more than 25 years later, leading detectives to Wayne Doherty after a routine police arrest on an unrelated matter. We cover his arrest, trial, conviction, and the life sentence that followed. This is a powerful true crime story about justice delayed, modern forensic science, cold case murder investigations, and the reality that some killers live on borrowed time.Exclusive content:Patreon - Ad Free, Early Access, Exclusive EpisodesFollow the show:British Murders with Stuart BluesDisclaimer:The case discussed in this podcast episode is real and represents the worst day in many people's lives.
Weißt du was? Neues Hotel. Was habe ich gewonnen? Ich habe jede Menge neue Leute kennengelernt. Fantastische Leute. Supergeil genetzwerkt. Merkst du was? Du lernst neue Leute, neue Dinge, neue Situationen kennen. Das sind die Dinge, die dich weiterbringen. Denk mal darüber nach: Wie oft machst du etwas Neues? Wie oft liest du mal was anderes? Geh mal auf andere Seminare. Geh auf Schulungen. Lies mal was anderes. Nicht immer das Gleiche. Das ist ein riesengroßer Unterschied. Und so bleibst du flexibel. So bleibst du jung. Was kommt heute Abend im Fernsehen? Wie ist das Wetter? Weißt du was? AM-Seminar. Top sprechen zu können. Ich freue mich auf dich. Raus aus dem Alltag. Raus aus der Routine. Rein in eine wunderschöne Welt. In diesem Sinne: Tschüss, bye-bye, dein Ernst. #Veränderung #Gewohnheiten #Mindset #Erfolg #Persönlichkeitsentwicklung #Podcast #Weiterentwicklung #RausAusDerRoutine #NeueWege #Flexibilität #Unternehmertum #Selbstständigkeit #Seminare #ErnstCrameri #Ergebnisorientiert Hier findest du eine Übersicht aller aktuellen Seminare https://crameri.de/Seminare Bild: Hotel Adlon in Berlin Crameri-Akademie Wenn Du mehr über diesen Artikel erfahren möchtest, dann solltest Du Dich unbedingt an der folgenden Stelle in der Crameri-Akademie einschreiben. In this week's interview we welcome back Dominic Milton Trott! Dominic has joined us a couple of times before, and every single time the conversation goes deep, wide, and into some seriously fascinating territory. If you're not familiar with him, Dominic is the author of The Drug Users Bible, a harm reduction classic built from firsthand experience. He has personally researched and documented the effects of over 180 different psychoactive substances, carefully recording dosage, duration, risks, and what people can realistically expect. His goal has always been simple but powerful: reduce harm through honest information. In this episode, we talk about his recent travels, where he's been exploring, and the places he has visited in search of specific substances around the world. We get into culture, legality, safety, mindset, and the importance of responsible use. As always with Dominic, it's thoughtful, measured, and grounded in real world experience rather than hype or fear. Another brilliant conversation with a good friend of the show. If you're interested in altered states, global drug policy, harm reduction, or just hearing from someone who has truly walked the walk, this one is for you. Roll one up, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride. Do you have any suggestions for guest on the show? Let us know by getting in touch over at Percys, or on our Discord Server!

What happens when you pull back the curtain on how architectural lighting actually gets made—from whiteboard sketch to installation—and discover the hidden complexity, creative tension, and human ingenuity behind every luminaire? In this episode of LytePOD, host Sam Koerbel sits down with two veterans from opposite ends of the manufacturing spectrum: Gary Trott from Acuity Brands (one of the largest lighting manufacturers in North America) and Tom Howe from Kelvix (a nimble, specification-focused flexible linear company). Together, they unpack the entire product development journey—the messy, exhilarating, frustrating, and deeply collaborative process that transforms an idea into the light you experience in buildings every day. This isn't a sales pitch or a product demo. It's a rare, candid look at what it really takes to design, engineer, source, manufacture, and deliver lighting in an industry where nothing is standard, every project is different, and the pressure to move fast constantly battles the need to get it right. From the roller coaster of engineering pilots to the art of saying "no" to impossible requests, Gary and Tom reveal the uncomfortable truths about an industry caught between creativity and commerce, innovation and execution, vision and reality. They discuss why service matters more than product, how architectural brands can thrive inside big companies, and why luminaire design is experiencing a Renaissance now that LED technology has stabilized. The conversation goes deep into supply chain strategy, the myth that one person can do it all, the critical role of controls, and why curiosity—not market demand—drives true innovation. Along the way, they bust myths, share war stories, and explain why even a "simple" two-foot change can ripple through an entire manufacturing process.

In this Special Rewind Episode, host Mark Ledlow revisits an impactful conversation with Mike Trott, a former Air Force veteran and CIA Special Agent, whose career has been defined by protecting some of the world's most high-profile individuals. Mike shares the journey of writing his seminal book, The Protected, and the immense pressure of securing an endorsement from former CIA Director George Tenet. They delve into the "layers of security" model, the dangers of social media misinformation, and the 2020 Beirut port explosion as a critical case study in risk management and incompetence. Mike also discusses his current role as VP of Global Safety and Security at Discovery Land, highlighting how the security industry has pivoted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The conversation covers the vital importance of utilizing operational downtime for training and preparing for the massive impending resurgence of global corporate travel. This Special Rewind Episode offers timeless, practical lessons for security professionals, executives, and principals seeking to strengthen decision-making, preparedness, and resilience.Learn about all this and more in this episode of The Fearless Mindset Podcast.KEY TAKEAWAYSMastering the craft of security requires decades of lived experience and continuous learning.Security programs must be holistic; removing a single layer compromises the entire foundation. The endorsement of a high-level principal stems from a commitment to excellence and professional pressure.Social media misinformation is a growing "failed experiment" that poses significant risks to global stability.Effective risk assessment involves evaluating "all-hazard" scenarios, including neighboring industrial threats.Professional EP teams must utilize downtime for rigorous training to remain sharp for future surges in travel.QUOTES“I don't think you can write a book, especially about our career... and hit all the points unless you've lived through it. That's going to take you a few decades.”“If you take one or two layers out... it's like removing the foundation from your building, from your house. You're gonna have issues.”“Social media does a lot of good, hands down... but I think we haven't seen or been able to measure how bad it does in terms of false information.”“As CSOs or VP of Security and Safety, we probably didn't see this coming where we'd have to step up and be more involved with helping to understand this pandemic.”“If EP teams are not training right now and taking advantage of this opportunity and they're just staying at home... you're probably wrong.”“The executives are gonna own a full launch and it's gonna ramp up pretty quick. Get ready. It's gonna be madness.”“Fearless isn't just your ability to handle a high stress situation. I think fearless also applies into your ability to make good decisions.”Get to know more about Mike Trott and his work through the links below:Book: www.TheProtected.usLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mwtrott/To hear more episodes of The Fearless Mindset podcast, you can go to https://the-fearless-mindset.simplecast.com/ or listen on major podcasting platforms such as Apple, Google Podcasts, Spotify, etc. You can also subscribe to the Fearless Mindset YouTube Channel to watch episodes on video. Sacred Window Podcast: Nurturing Awareness in Postpartum Care
There are moments in early motherhood when the longing for support is so real it sits in the body like a weight. And for many families, that longing is met with another ache—the sense that professional postpartum care is out of reach. In this week's episode, I'm joined by Sarah Trott and Esther Gallagher, the soulful hosts of the Fourth Trimester Podcast, for a conversation that feels like a deep exhale. Together we explore what becomes possible when we look beyond traditional expectations of paid postpartum care and instead rediscover the ancient, human patterns that have held new mothers for generations.Sarah shares her experience of hiring Esther for both of her births, and how that early connection eventually led them to create their own platform of postpartum education. Esther—whose decades of experience in postpartum and birth work are rooted in an extraordinary story that began when she was just eight years old—offers wisdom that reminds us how natural it once was for mothers to be held by their community.Together, we hold the question so many mothers carry quietly:What do you do when you know you need help, but don't have the means to hire support? In this conversation, we explore:✨ How postpartum support was originally communal—not professionalized✨ What “doula” truly meant before the term expanded into birth work✨ Creative, accessible forms of care that don't depend on financial resources✨ The Universal Mother Principles as an inner compass when support feels scarce✨ The power of reciprocity, presence, and small gestures of nourishment✨ How to soften the shame so many carry around “not having a village”This episode is a reminder that while the culture around us may not naturally provide postpartum care, the possibility for care is never lost. Community can be built, even slowly. Support can arrive in small, meaningful doses. And the sacred window can still be held with reverence, even when resources feel thin.Wherever you are in your journey—mothering, caregiving, remembering your own postpartum story—I hope you feel seen here. You deserve support. You deserve nourishment. You deserve to be held.✨ Connect with UsLearn more about the Conscious Postpartum Caregiver Certification, free resources, and community offerings at the Center for Sacred Window Studies.Links for Sarah and Esther:Fourth TrimesterAbout Us - Fourth TrimesterAre you feeling the call to know more about Conscious Postpartum Care?Reach out!

Welcome to a very special live edition of the Women Authors of Achievement Podcast, hosted for the first time in UK, right here at the Amano Hotel Skybar in London, overlooking Covent Garden. My guest today is Nikki Trott, strategist, podcast host and author of her new book Sacred Business. Her story bridges two worlds: the ambitious drive of London's fashion and branding industry, and the expansive, intuitive energy she discovered in Berlin.Nikki started out leading global fashion and lifestyle campaigns, working with big names across London and New York. But at some point, success as she knew it started to feel off. Thats when she made a radical choice, she left it all behind to follow a different kind of calling. In this conversation, we talk about what it means to walk away from conventional success, how Berlin helped her reconnect with her intuition, and why business can, and should, be an expression of who we are at our core.If you're in a moment of transition or simply craving more purpose in your work, hear this episode!Read more about the Women Authors of Achievement (WAA) Podcast via waa.berlin/aboutFollow us on Instagram & find us on LinkedInSubscribe to our newsletter via waa.berlin/newsletter ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
What determines who you vote for? You probably think it's due to rational reasons. Economy. Sustainability. Immigration. Growth. But research shows that your choice of vote isn't as logical as you might expect. In fact, all of our votes can be swayed by a largely irrelevant factor. And this factor can be used to change what we eat, wear, drink and buy. A few weeks ago, we had an incredible conversation with Dominic about his unique mission to document as many psychoactive substances as possible. Over time, he tried 182 different substances and compiled all his research into the powerful and informative book, The Drug User's Bible, a harm reduction resource to help people make informed decisions. In this follow-up episode, we dive deeper into some of Dominic's most memorable experiences. From LSD and mescaline to synthetic cannabinoids, truffles, and even a sample of Pablo Escobar's cocaine! It's another fascinating and insightful session with a good friend of the show. I really enjoyed this one and I hope you do too. Roll one up, settle in, and enjoy the ride!
