Hejduk didn't just "play" - he was an essential part of the 2001 Stanley Cup season, won the 2003 Rocket Richard Trophy for scoring the most goals in the NHL that season, and is one of only 3 players to wear the "C" for the Avalanche. He played with some dynamic talent over the years and has great stories about Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Ray Bourque, Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya... Milan Hejduk is a Colorado Avalanche legend! We talked about the Eagles fan who went viral for calling a female Packers fan the worst word imaginable. The internet found his name and where he worked and the guy got fired. But there's another wrinkle that makes it interesting. It turns out, the Packers fans are ‘content creators' with a YouTube channel and the guy wore a bodycam to record footage. We also only see the clip of the Eagles fan and have no idea if they did anything to instigate it. They clearly went to the game to get a reaction from Eagles fans. The woman didn't seem threatened and didn't seem all that mad about it. Gio thinks all involved are ‘scumbags'. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio is limping because his knee is swollen and he can't bend it. Jerry starts with audio of Mike Tomlin meeting the media to talk about the season. He was asked why he seemed ‘positive'. Like a lot of teams, the Steelers need to find a QB. Matt LaFleur also met the media to talk about the Packers season. Patrick Mahomes has a new baby and got to watch the playoffs in the hospital. Nick Sirianni talked about AJ Brown reading on the sideline. In the final segment of the hour, Gio heard an interview with former NHL player Teemu Selanne with the Spittin' Chiclets guys and he said they always had beers on ice in the locker room after every game. Gio wondered if it was like that for Boomer back in the day.
Hour 1 The two main names that are out there for the Jets head coach position are Aaron Glenn and Brian Flores. Some Jets fans seem really interested in Matt Nagy. Does his experience in Chicago help him deal with the pressures of being in NY? Boomer wouldn't be disappointed with Nagy and Mike Borganzi as GM. Jerry is here for his first update of the day, but first we talked about Sam Darnold's future with the Vikings. Gio thinks JJ McCarthy will start and Daniel Jones will be the backup. Mike Tomlin met the media to talk about the season. He was asked about teams wanting to trade for him and he said, ‘save your time'. Dan Campbell talked about the upcoming game against the Commanders. Nick Sirianni was on WIP and was asked about AJ Brown reading on the sideline. Jerry went around the NBA and NHL for the locals. In the final segment of the hour, Chris Russo is a huge fan of Timothee Chalamat and the Bob Dylan movie. He was finally invited to the premiere in London and got to meet him. Hour 2 We talked about the Eagles fan who went viral for calling a female Packers fan the worst word imaginable. The internet found his name and where he worked and the guy got fired. Gio wondered if it was like that for Boomer back in the day. Hour 3 Phil Simms joins us in his regular Wednesday spot and we start with Mike McCarthy departing from the Cowboys. Kellen Moore would be perfect for them because Jerry Jones likes to be more popular than the coach. We talked about Mike Vrabel becoming the Patriots head coach. What happened to Sam Darnold the last 2 weeks? We asked Phil if it's possible for the Commanders to beat the Lions. Has Phil ever seen anybody reading a book on the sideline? We talked about the upcoming divisional round playoff games. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of Mike Tomlin meeting the media to talk about the season. Micah Parsons took to his podcast to talk about Mike McCarthy not coming back to the Cowboys. Dan Campbell isn't concerned about the ‘what ifs'. We also talked about circus animals. Chris Russo's son, Colin, is on the radio in Florida and was not happy to have to house sit for his dad. He sounds just like his father. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about congestion pricing as we are into week 2 of it. Hour 4 Boomer had to leave for a doctor's appointment, so Gio and Jerry are in there for the final hour. Gio has been watching a reality show on TLC about a 21 year old girl with tourettes called, ‘Baylen Out Loud'. We also talked about the Jerry Springer Show documentary on Netflix. Gio needs more extreme things to entertain himself these days. A woman wants advice for her and her husband as they are expecting their first baby. Jerry has his final update, but first Dov is in the studio as we are reminded he had a heart attack in the newsroom 2 ½ year ...

Bruce Boudreau joined for an extended interview stocked with wild old stories about the crazy days in the WHL, getting pranked by Teemu Selanne and many more. But first, Biz had an insane brawl in a restaurant as he stepped in to serve justice to some guys that were acting like lunatics. Locked On Capitals - Daily Podcast On The Washington Capitals
In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the Caps loss to the Kings 4-2. This ends the Caps 2 game winning streak. The loss also makes the margin for error for the Caps making the playoffs that much smaller. The Caps picked up a big wins against the Ducks and Sharks but when facing the surging LA King's they fell short even though they scored first. They were not able to maintain the lead and the Caps lost even though Darcy Kuemper stopped all 19 shots he faced in the first. Later Dan talks about the conversations between Brian Maclellan and Alex Ovechkin about the future of the Capitals and struggles the Capitals faced this year that led to that decision. Dan later talks about Alex Ovechkins great game where he scored his 816th goal. Ovechkin's power-play strike moved him to 816 career goals, and he is now just 79 away from breaking Wayne Gretzky's all-time record. The goal was also his 36th of the season and his fifth in as many games. Then talks about the importance of Nick Backstrom and how he has been instrumental in his career Nicklas Backstrom recorded the secondary assist on Ovechkin's power play goal, his eighth assist of the season. It marks Backstrom's 333rd career power-play assist, passing Denis Potvin (332) and tying Teemu Selanne (333) for the 28th-most power-play assists in NHL history.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
It marks Backstrom's 333rd career power-play assist, passing Denis Potvin (332) and tying Teemu Selanne (333) for the 28th-most power-play assists in NHL history. Ryan Getzlaf had chuckle at Ray's (literal) expense as Mr. Ferraro was late to the interview thanks to a traffic ticket. Getzlaf recounted his recent experience being pulled over, in a great conversation with the guys. He spoke on enjoying retired life, and being a stay-at-home dad. But, he discussed missing the game, and future plans for a role in management, coaching, or even joining Ray & Dregs in media! The former Anaheim Ducks superstar spent his entire career with the Ducks, but he filled us in on a trade that ALMOST sent him down the road to play for a contender. He applauded former teammate Corey Perry for still being as ‘agitating' as ever, and credited Teemu Selanne for a passion for cars that the two Ducks legends share. Headlines covers the CHL's Top Prospects game and the chance for the game's next crop to showcase their talent for NHL scouts. Trade winds are picking up with the All-Star break around the corner; the guys discuss Jakob Chychrun to LA rumours, the Kings goaltending issues, and Joonas Korpisalo as a possible solution. Plus, Mitch Marner's Bell Let's Talk message, and the importance of prioritizing mental health. Kris Abbott raises the stakes with picks for both the NFC and AFC Championship games this weekend. Kris likes KC's odds and tells us why they might finally have the answer to Burrow and the Bengals. Meanwhile, Ray's hoping more teasers will keep him in 1st place in the pod's NFL picks competition. Ray's trading out the rain boots for a pair of shades as he'll be heading south for a golf trip! Brooke Henderson's appearance on Overdrive, and the golf-game of TSN buddies are broken down in the final segment.
