Rider Grey Cup Champion Chris Getzlaf talks about what he's looking forward to at Dinner with Doubles and gives us his thoughts on the Rider's performances so far this year!
On this episode the boys are joined by an underrated stud who somehow already has over 800 NHL games under his belt, Adam Henrique. Playing for the New Jersey Devils as a rookie, he scored some huge goals, and helped them go on a deep playoff run in his first season. “Henny” had to face a reality of the modern NHL, as Devils faded out of competitiveness over his next few seasons. He signed a massive ticket before being traded to Anaheim where he is now a veteran with a few young studs in Zegras and Terry. He talks with us about growing up on a tobacco farm, fighting Jarome Iginla, playing with Getzlaf and Kovalchuk, plus much more. Before the interview, the boys keep the summer topics rolling, getting into the greatest inventions ever, bear attacks, personal demons, and more. We don't know what other hockey podcasts do in the dog days of the NHL, but we know how to entertain, as does Adam Henrique on this edition of the Cam & Strick podcast. On this episode the boys are joined by 2-time Stanley Cup Champion and former Winnipeg Jets Captain Andrew Ladd. We talk about the best World Junior team ever, which featured names like Crosby, Bergeron, and Getzlaf, some hilarious Dustin Byfuglien stories, riding high in Chi-Town and much more. Before the interview, the boys get into what the O'Reilly trade means for Toronto, what a Larkin contract could look like, and much more. The trades keep coming and so do the banger episodes, enjoy Andrew Ladd on this edition of the Cam and Strick Podcast. Ryan Getzlaf had chuckle at Ray's (literal) expense as Mr. Ferraro was late to the interview thanks to a traffic ticket. Getzlaf recounted his recent experience being pulled over, in a great conversation with the guys. He spoke on enjoying retired life, and being a stay-at-home dad. But, he discussed missing the game, and future plans for a role in management, coaching, or even joining Ray & Dregs in media! The former Anaheim Ducks superstar spent his entire career with the Ducks, but he filled us in on a trade that ALMOST sent him down the road to play for a contender. He applauded former teammate Corey Perry for still being as ‘agitating' as ever, and credited Teemu Selanne for a passion for cars that the two Ducks legends share. Headlines covers the CHL's Top Prospects game and the chance for the game's next crop to showcase their talent for NHL scouts. Trade winds are picking up with the All-Star break around the corner; the guys discuss Jakob Chychrun to LA rumours, the Kings goaltending issues, and Joonas Korpisalo as a possible solution. Plus, Mitch Marner's Bell Let's Talk message, and the importance of prioritizing mental health. Kris Abbott raises the stakes with picks for both the NFC and AFC Championship games this weekend. Kris likes KC's odds and tells us why they might finally have the answer to Burrow and the Bengals. Meanwhile, Ray's hoping more teasers will keep him in 1st place in the pod's NFL picks competition. Ray's trading out the rain boots for a pair of shades as he'll be heading south for a golf trip! Brooke Henderson's appearance on Overdrive, and the golf-game of TSN buddies are broken down in the final segment. Christmas has come and gone, and we continue for the break to come to an end, but there is still plenty to talk about. The World Junior Tournament has started and the Canadian team has lost a game! We also looked at a couple B's prospects taking part in the tourney. We start the show with the investigation into the B's signing of Mitchell Miller only to have no misconduct found on their part. It was to be independent, but since the B's paid for it, independence comes into question. The Hamburglar, Andrew Hammond, has retired due to an injury which he will not fully recover from in his ankle. Ryder Getzlaf has taken the role of junior reporter for the day and run with it, entertaining us in the process. See the link below. We look back at an older show and discover that there has not been much change in the officiating in the NHL while breaking down a college game where a player was given a major penalty for an incident that wasn't as well as a knee to knee hit by Sam Bennett. We talk about how underrated William Nylander is for the Leafs and touch on players for the Bruins that could potentially win awards this season. Hope everyone is having a fabulous holiday season but lets get back to the game of Hockey. Enjoy the Show! https://twitter.com/AnaheimDucks/status/1605673788045025282

On this episode the boys are joined by Tyson Nash, a fan favorite with great flow and even better style, who you'd love to play with but hate to play against. Nash made headlines just last week with his on ice commentary, where he defended Arizona Coyotes forward Jay Beagle for beating the wheels off of Anaheim Ducks forward Troy Terry, and the social media world absolutely exploded. We talk about whether he regrets his comments or not and what it was like to see the majority of the hockey world online voice their displeasure. With that controversy aside, we also touch on Tyson's playing days, what it was like being coached by Wayne Gretzky in Phoenix, and those insane Blues teams back in the day. Before the interview, Cam and Andy take a dive into playoff teams that aren't that scary, a video that is making the rounds of Logan Couture ripping apart Erik Karlsson on the bench, and much more. Heated discussion this week highlights the show this week. The Boston Pride repeat as Isobel Cup Champions, starting the dynasty talk in Boston. Ryan Getzlaf has announced his retirement at the end of this season, further dwindling the number of active players still in the league from the 2003 draft. A local Boston host intimated that Nick Foligno may have played his last game in Columbus, raising the question about his future. The Kings are playing important games now as they gear up for the playoffs. We have a spirited discussion over our Twitter Poll this week. Should the B's have acquired a playoff veteran net minder? Huberdeau has hit another milestone, getting 100 points, the first time it has happened in the Panthers history. The Denver Pioneers have won the NCAA Championship. The Minnesota State Mavericks goalie, Dryden McKay is undrafted and should have received offers by now. Finally we talk about other prospects including Conor Bedard. Lively show for all to listen, comment on and Enjoy!
