CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) executive chairman Dr Steve Kesler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's revised timeline for its ASX listing, aligning closely with the CEOL process for its Laguna Verde project in Chile. Kesler explained the decision to delay the listing to early 2025 to await the Chilean government's resolution on priority projects, which would allow the company to present a stronger position to potential investors in Australia. "New potential investors in Australia have a good picture, they have the history of the company, they know where we are now with the CEOL," Kesler said. He emphasised that having the pre-feasibility study (PFS) results and updated financials in the prospectus would strengthen investor confidence in a challenging market. Kesler also addressed the departure of the CEO designate, citing personal reasons and confirmed that CleanTech Lithium is re-engaging with other high-calibre candidates ahead of the ASX listing expected in May. Additionally, he discussed the extension of the broker retail option to 7 March, allowing more retail shareholders to participate following the successful £2.4 million interim raise. CleanTech Lithium PLC executive chairman Dr Steve Kesler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's £2.4 million book build, which saw strong support from existing institutional shareholders, including Athos, Regal Funds, and APAC. The funds will be used to progress the company's lithium projects, with a focus on advancing towards a planned dual listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Kesler explained that the broker option included in the raise will allow additional shareholders to participate, with details to be announced via an RNS. He also discussed market conditions, noting that lithium prices remain low but are expected to recover due to structural supply deficits and growing demand, particularly from the electric vehicle sector. With a strong news flow expected in the coming months, CleanTech Lithium anticipates updates on government negotiations, pre-feasibility studies, and product testing from its pilot plant. Kesler emphasised that the company is well-positioned for future growth, with production targeted for 2027-2028, when lithium prices are expected to stabilise at higher levels. CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) executive chairman Dr Steve Kesler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's updated resource estimate for the Laguna Verde project in Chile and its broader development plans. Kesler highlighted the updated resource estimate of 1.95 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) within the Laguna Verde Basin, with 1.63 million tonnes located in a CEOL polygon where the company holds over 80% of mining licenses. This progress supports the company's application for a Special Lithium Operation Contract (CEOL), which will be formally submitted to the Chilean government by the end of January. The company is also preparing for an ASX listing and plans to complete its pre-feasibility study (PFS) by the end of the quarter. Montgomery & Associates, experts in lithium brine resource estimation, have reviewed the resource data and recommended additional drilling and feasibility work for further resource expansion and technical validation. Kesler emphasised that these efforts align with CleanTech Lithium's strategy to secure strategic investors and finance the project through its next stages, including the DFS and permitting phases. He also mentioned that additional drilling and larger-scale pilot plant production are planned for 2025 to enhance the resource and attract investors. Our next guest has been creating cookie-cracker crisps that have been passed down from her grandmother, Carolyn. Amie was inspired to make these crisps after having a hard time finding snacks that fit her needs and had the taste she was looking for. These crisps are gluten free, vegan, and soy free. She has a variety of flavors from sweet to savory and is now even producing bark which is partially inspired by not wanting the broken crisps to go to waste. Today I'm here to share a fantastic conversation with Hannah Kesler. Hannah is an Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) practitioner, and joined us to break down the essentials of the concept and share her insights on financial health. Compound Interest Albert Einstein once called compound interest the eighth wonder of the world, and Hannah explains why. By keeping your money within a whole life policy, you allow it to grow consistently without interruption. This becomes especially advantageous when taking a policy loan, where the growth continues even as you use the money elsewhere. Policy Loan Details Hannah breaks down policy loans, describing them as collateralizing the death benefit while money continues to grow in the policy. Joe shares a personal regret of withdrawing from his IRA, highlighting the missed opportunity for compound growth – a mistake that the IBC strategy aims to avoid. Starting Point in IBC Regardless of age or financial situation, Hannah encourages everyone to consider implementing IBC. She quotes Rick Warren, emphasizing that how you finish the race of life matters just as much as how you start. Treat Yourself as Your Number One Asset Hannah advises paying yourself first by setting aside 10% of your income into savings before covering other expenses. She suggests using Rocket Money to manage your finances, which Joe also appreciates for its simplicity and effectiveness. Quarterly Check-ins and Resources Hannah's organization, The Money Multiplier, offers an implementation team that provides quarterly check-ins and additional resources to members at no extra cost. Whole Life Insurance Benefits Hannah addresses skepticism around whole life insurance, often fueled by figures like Dave Ramsey and Susie Orman. She points out that commercial banks are the largest purchasers of whole life insurance because of its benefits: Uninterrupted Compound Interest and Tax-Free Growth: Policies offer consistent growth without the taxes that usually come with other investments. Control Over Finances: Policyholders can withdraw money after funding for 30 days, using it for various investments. No Obligation to Repay Loans: Loans from the policy can remain unpaid, with the unpaid amount deducted from the death benefit. Overfunding and Policy Mechanics Starting young worked well for Hannah, who began saving $400 a month at 18. Financial Habits and Family Influence Hannah learned from her father to keep money, not just make it. Growing up, her family did not teach her about money, leading to initial poor money management habits. She now stresses the importance of tracking income and expenses and saving at least 10% of her income. Skepticism and the Wealthy's Strategy Joe highlights that following financial practices used by the wealthy, such as whole life insurance for uninterrupted compound interest and asset protection, can be highly beneficial. Control Over Investments Hannah prefers managing her investments personally, without relying on traditional retirement accounts like self-directed IRAs, 401ks, or Roth IRAs. She values the control, freedom, and uninterrupted compound interest offered by IBC. Tax Strategy Hannah discusses her tax strategy, advocating for paying tax on money once, ideally at the lowest rate possible. She uses a system where post-tax money is placed into a policy, allowing for tax-free growth. Her approach involves potential tax deductions if funded by a business and a “1041 trust and tax structure,” similar to strategies used by wealthy individuals like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett. Trust Structure and Real Estate Money is moved from policies to a business trust, then to a family trust, and finally to a foundation, with a mandatory 5% donation from the foundation to cover tax liabilities. Real estate investments can also be integrated into this tax structure, providing additional charitable giving benefits and tax reductions.
