The gang returns to Groom of the Tomb by Demain Katz, a tribute to the melodramatic dime novels The Bride of the Tomb. Hearts ache, tears flow, new love is spurned! The ponies you ordered last episode have arrived. Bennett calls out the listeners until they pick up the phone, and our opiated protagonist make a fateful trip to the poorly constructed theatre... Theme song: Bossa d'Automne by Thiaz Itch
The gang plays Groom of the Tomb by Demain Katz, a book that combines his love of melodramatic dime novels with his extensive gamebook knowledge. Our very sad very rich protagonist can hardly drag himself out of his palatial hotel room after the death of his bride to be. We unlock keys and fail dice rolls as depression and a new love interest threaten to divert the investigation into her mysterious suicide. Theme song: Bossa d'Automne by Thiaz Itch
Part 2 of Thrusts of Justice by Matt Youngmark. The gang continues to get to know their super powered battle armor. We take a side trip to an undersea cave and get drunk on ancient pirate rum. Save yourself or your mysterious new friend? Tad and Bennett discuss their least favorite ways to die. Special guest Donovan joins. Theme song: Bossa d'Automne by Thiaz Itch
The gang plays Thrusts of Justice by Matt Youngmark. Your online journalism career is flailing - you jump at the chance to become the superhero you always admired! A little kid calls in and has pragmatic recommendations. Will that nosy neighbor ruin our chance to save the world? And can we trust this guy in the black helicopter? Theme song: Bossa d'Automne by Thiaz Itch
Tad is game master on an original role playing quest! Rana (Elizabeth Swensen), Pebble (Rebecca), Benetos and Banjo the bear set out to scour the wastelands of the Yester Zone for artifacts from The Before Times. This episode finds our party deep in the ruined Temple of Milton Hasbro, who scholars believe to have been a highly powerful wizard of The Before Times who hid many treasures here, guarded by ancient magic. Will the callers help the party solve maniacal riddles and avoid traps in their not-so-trivial pursuit of treasure? Theme song: Bossa d'Automne by Thiaz Itch
Special guests James Ryan and Nina play Consider the Consequences by Doris Webster and Mary Alden Hopkins. The book is from 1930 and is the first known commercial publication of a branching narrative fiction novel. Each story spans the entire life of a character and the gang and callers decide whether to make prudent or passionate choices, and reflect on what a "choice point" really meant for a woman in the 1930s. Theme song: Bossa d'Automne by Thiaz Itch
The gang plays Time Travel Dinosaur by Matt Youngmark. T-Rex hijinks and good-dog deeds ensue! Plus Hesi and Juan from Team Nahual call in and talk about their new game Juanito el Nahualito. Theme song: Bossa d'Automne by Thiaz Itch
