Join Tom & Joe as they re-watch and rank all the James Bond films. Despite both being big Bond fans, it's been a long time since either Tom or Joe have seen the majority of the Bond films. In this podcast, they will correct this by watching them all in order and while they're at it, rank each film in the series. Will their lists match by the end of the rewatch? Which films are much better than they remember, which films are overrated? Will Tom change his mind about Diamonds are Forever? Will Joe change his mind about Spectre? Hosted on Acast. From Television City in Hollywood! Before Daniel Craig, before David Niven and even before Sean Connery, we have Barry Nixon as James Bond. A year after the first Bond book, Casino Royale, was published it was adapted as part of the American TV show 'Climax!'. The episode aired in 1954, and has become a bit of an oddity for the Bond franchise. It's one of the few episodes of Climax! that hasn't become lost media, is only available in black and white and shows us an American version of Bond. Tom and Joe apparently have nothing better to do, so are jumping into this adaption to see if it deserves to be better remembered. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Casino Royale is too much for one James Bond! Back in 1955, before Dr. No, the film rights to Casino Royale were sold to film producer Gregory Ratoff. This was the start of a long and messy history for the rights to Casino Royale, but it did result in a film adaption being released in 1967. Rather than being a traditional Bond film, it was an ensemble comedy with big names like Peter Sellers, Orson Welles and David Niven. It's not a film that's very well remembered and rarely discussed, but if it's a James Bond film, then Tom & Joe are going to give it a watch. Will they find an interesting piece of Bond history or is it truly best left forgotten? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

It's the Biggest. It's the Best. It's Bond. And Beyond. The future of the Bond franchise was in question after the poor performance of The Man with the Golden Gun, meaning the next film needed to be a hit. This resulted in a much bigger budget and the team going all in for The Spy Who Loved Me, which sees Bond teaming up with KGB agent Anya Amasova to discover who is behind the disappearance of nuclear submarines. It's considered the peak of the Roger Moore era and the peak of the franchise for some but what will Tom & Joe think? Does it deserve the praise it gets or does the film lack bite? Hosted on Acast.
