Bonners Ferry Baptist Church has purposed to evangelize the lost world as well as edify the Saints. We hope that the preaching and teaching of God's word will help you walk closer to the Lord

In our ongoing study of I Thessalonians, we explore a passage that, while seemingly for unbelievers, offers just as much of an application for believers too.

Felix rejected an opportunity to escape the judgment of God upon him. How did he do that? He put it off until a more “convenient” time, and ended up in Hell for it. Paul, in the midst of a wavering government, stood firm and unwavering in everything he knew to be true. What do you KNOW is true from God's Word? Are you preaching it with authority?

Is comparing Solomon to Jesus Christ a valid interpretation of the book? Is the Shulamite woman a representation of the church? This study may surprise you about the book's meaning. It offers a clearer understanding of the true meaning of the Song of Solomon. This is no private interpretation, but simply a clearer one that magnifies the foreshadowing of Christ in it!

The Thessalonians were “ensamples" to many other churches because of how they followed in affliction with joy of the Holy Ghost in the footsteps of Paul and the other men. Men who ultimately followed God. They were not only followers of Christ in word, but in deed.

Did Christ assert that He would never put upon you more than you could endure? Will He ever subject you to trials that are beyond your control? In this message, we look at the story of a woman who finally comprehended the unwavering power of her faith in God, yet her life was not lacking in trials and testing.

To someone who lacks wisdom or is not saved, this book can seem like a very depressing book. And if you look at life “under the sun”, it truly is! But we have hope! And we know the “conclusion of the whole matter”.

The Thessalonians were “ensamples" to many other churches because of how they followed in affliction with joy of the Holy Ghost in the footsteps of Paul and the other men. Men who ultimately followed God. They were not only followers of Christ in word, but in deed.

There still is such a thing as truth! Don't let this world system make you think otherwise. The only words of truth we have are the words of God, and in Proverbs, Solomon instructed his son over and over to bow his ear and listen to the words of the wise so he would know their certainty and be able to tell them to others. How does this apply to you?

Wisdom is the theme of the book. There is so much to glean from it, and there will never be a dearth of understanding when you study this book! Wisdom truly is the principal thing!

The Thessalonians were “ensamples" to many other churches because of how they followed in affliction with joy of the Holy Ghost in the footsteps of Paul and the other men. Men who ultimately followed God. They were not only followers of Christ in word, but in deed.

Isaiah 51:7 says, "Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings." The Lord is looking of us to listen, be righteous, and obey boldly!

Psalms! The Hebrew Hymnbook! This is a book filled with so much song and praise and confession and worship and prayer and many many more things that all point to the Lord! What a great reminder that our song should always point to God. Please tune in to this overview of the book of Psalms!

When people look at you life, do they recognize that you're different? Do they see any change in you? People should know without a doubt that you are a believer in Christ!

We have Tim Wall, a brother with Macedonia World Baptist Missions, and we had the privilege of letting him preach today! It is important to keep the gospel in our focus! That is the whole purpose of our existence as Christians. Let us never forget that, and strive together for the faith of the gospel.

This evening, we will look at the Book of Job. Job was attacked by Satan, but God has yet again taken Job's trials, and used them to honor His name in the message this evening. As you're listening to this message, remember that God is still in control.

Is your spiritual life struggling? What is the motive for living a godly life in such a world of evil? Love for God. In the message, we will look at several passages, and be reminded that it is the love of God that constraineth us.

In this message, we look at the parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25. Five of them were prepared, and the other five were not. We will look at the main differences between the two groups, and how we can be prepared as God's children.

In the message, we not only study the historical aspect of the book of Esther, but also, we will take a look at the spiritual outline of the book. We will look at some of the characters, and how they represent foes and friends that we may face in our walks with the Lord.

Every now and then, we need a reminder about why we believe what we believe about baptism as Baptists! And this evening we are happy to have two people get baptized, so there's no better time to go through this important doctrine than now. See from God's Word what it means to be baptized and what baptism symbolizes, etc.

Job, outside of the Lord Jesus Christ, received the most trials and hardships in his life than probably any other man. And yet, even he, in his darkest hour understood the goodness of God, and the truth of the resurrection! Christ is alive!

It's time to build the wall! The book of Nehemiah has so many powerful truths in it like how we as Christians must have a wall of defense around our hearts and minds to keep the enemies out! Yet another Old Testament book with many applications to the New Testament believer.

In tonights message, we look at four different kinds of entanglement. Foolish debates, False doctrine, fleshly defilement, and frivolous distractions. These are things we cannot avoid happening in our lives, but with Christ's help, we can avoid being entangled in these things, and overcome them in our daily spiritual battles.

To think that Christ never called anyone a fool is simple ignorance. In today's message we find that Christ called a Pharisee a fool, and got right to the point, and that was his heart. He knew how to make the outside look good, but the inside didn't match. Please tune in.

Ezra! This 15th book of the Bible is packed full of deep spiritual truths that can still apply to you today! Again, don't let the genealogies bore you. All scripture is given by inspiration of God. Each of these 10 chapters contains truths that you would do well to notice.

"...teach a just man, and he will increase in learning." "The just man walketh in his integrity..." "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again..." There is much to learn about the "just man". Let us all strive to be like this man found throughout the book of Proverbs!

In this message, we look at a rich man in a parable being called a fool by God Himself! What was the reason for it? What made this man a fool? Please tune in.

In this message, we learn what a foolish man is. He is a man who bases his life on anything else except for the Bible. If you reject the Bible, you are a fool.

We continue our study in the Old Testament. This is the second part of the study of I and II Kings with some encouragement to follow the leaders that we have in our lives as they follow Christ.

In this message, we take a look at Joab. Was he on the right side? Was he on it for the right reasons? What kind of man was Joab at heart?

On the road to Emmaus, there were two men who were sad. Why were they sad when they had Jesus in their presence? Because they were slow of heart to believe all that the prophets had spoken. Is the same true for you today? Are you slow to believe the Word of God? Please listen to this sermon.

We continue our study in the Old Testament! I and II Kings are books filled with history, and this is just the first study in these books. We will continue the study next week!

Absolom is a perfect picture of the outcome of every person who decides to go against God's word and will, and live their lives the way they want to rather than what God wants them to. We would be wise to take heed.

Can just anyone be automatically qualified as a laborer in God's harvest? Or are there requirements for that? There are definitely requirements for a child of God when it comes to doing the work of the Lord! And these are things we must take heed to if we ever want to be used rightly for His work.

We continue to go through our Old Testament survey, and we take a look at mainly David's life, and learn many profound truths about him and so many other things in this book!

The story of the children of Israel wanting a king before God wanted them to is a very sad one. And it is a story that we should glean from and take heed lest we make the same mistakes. To refuse God's authority is to accept the authority of a dictator, which is what the children of Israel found out as a result of their rebellion against their Almighty King.

This is our midweek Bible study, and we are pleased to have Missionary Chris King with us. In this study, we take a look at I John 1. And the whole theme of the chapter is fellowship with God. There is no better gift besides salvation than the gift of fellowship with God for the believer.

David had five loyal men at his disposal, even when it seemed all Israel was against him. And they were simply faithful to do what David had instructed them to do. It's not rocket science for the Christian! We must simply follow every command God gives us.

We apologize for no podcast in OT survey last week, but this is a continuation of our study in the book of I Samuel. As always, there are so many lessons to be learned from this book, and there are many pictures of Christ in this book, including the extraordinary example of David. You can watch the first lesson about I Samuel on our YouTube channel (Bonners Ferry Baptist Church).

We find that what refreshed David throughout the whole account you will hear of in this message, was his heart of worship toward the LORD! Don't miss the important truths in this message.

Galatians 6 is the passage for this message. If we are going to "continue" in our walk with Christ, we must learn to "faint not". How do you do this? By spending time with the One Who has all strength and power! Listen to this message, as there is much time spent in His Word dealing this subject.

This is a message preached at the Moyie Springs City Hall in Moyie Springs, ID. It is another clear picture of what the gospel is like. Christ is our Shepherd, and we must put our trust in Him to take us to His fold.

The book of Ruth is refreshing and wonderful after you come out of the dark book of Judges and you can see that there were still men who followed God rather than doing what was right in their eyes, like Boaz! We see such a clear picture of Christ throughout this Old Testament book!

We can see that David had complete trust in God when he said this! This was in reference to Absolom, his son that wanted him killed. But David had trust in God to keep him safe, therefore he had no fear of his son! Please listen to these powerful truths pulled out of God's Word!

Peter had some complications with his trust in Christ, and this would be a revealing and proving time for him! But we find that in the end, Peter realized that his Master always knows best, and he forsook all, and followed Him.

While the Book of Joshua was a book of victory, Judges is a demonstration of how horrific it can be when a nation does "that which is right in their own eyes".
