People pleasing can look like kindness or even servanthood from the outside, but underneath it can be driven by insecurity, fear, and our need for the approval of others. When other people's expectations begin determining our decisions, we can lose sight of the purpose and priorities God has entrusted to us. Looking at the life of Jesus in John 2, this message explores four remedies for breaking free from people pleasing: know your role, know whom to fear, know which witness matters, and know whose approval matters. Jesus wasn't searching for identity—He was ministering from it.
