Here are 10 thoughtful discussion questions based on this episode of the Daily Radio Bible: The episode opens by saying that the Scriptures bear witness to Jesus rather than being life in themselves. What does this perspective mean to you, and how might it change the way you read the Bible? Nahum's prophecy against Nineveh comes 100 to 150 years after Jonah's. How does the contrasting message between these two prophets reflect God's justice and mercy? In what ways did Nahum emphasize both God's power and his goodness? How do you see these two aspects of God in your own life? The description of Nineveh's fall is vivid and devastating. Why do you think the Bible includes such detailed imagery when depicting the consequences of turning away from God? Jesus' statement in John 5:39, "You study the Scriptures diligently... yet the Scriptures point to me," is highlighted in the episode. What are the risks of focusing on religious rules without embracing the person of Jesus? The host mentions that some people missed God's love because they were consumed with control, rules, and judgment. What are some modern-day examples of missing God's love in similar ways? How does Jesus' healing at the pool of Bethesda challenge the religious leaders' views on the Sabbath? What message do you think Jesus was trying to convey through this act? The prayers at the end of the episode emphasize being instruments of peace, forgiveness, and love. How can these prayers inspire the way you interact with others today? The episode encourages listeners to recognize God's love already present in their hearts. What practices or habits can help you become more aware of God's love in your everyday life? Reflecting on today's readings and the discussion, how can you move from simply knowing about God to truly experiencing and living in God's love? Feel free to use these for group discussion or personal reflection! Absolutely! This week, Jake and Bob continue their series on integrating faith with psychology and welcome Christopher Lafitte, a Catholic counselor based in Texas. Christopher shares his story of formation, from aspiring engineer to therapist, and about the deep encounter with Christ that shaped his journey. They discuss Christopher's unique approach to counseling, why loving one another is healing in itself, and how a therapists' own wounds can become blind spots in their ability to help clients. Throughout all of this, Christopher reflects on how nothing in our lives will make sense apart from the reality we are made for communion with God. So whenever we approach therapy or personal healing, we should always remember Jesus wants to heal us so we can be in relationship with Him. Key Points: Our personal healing and ongoing transformation helps us to more effectively help others. Encountering God's love is the foundation for true healing. Psychological techniques build upon this foundation. Nothing in our lives will make sense apart from the reality that we are made for communion with the Lord. Whether we realize it or not all our deepest desires are unique expressions of how we are made to be in communion with Him. Healing often begins when we encounter profound safety and love. This atmosphere allows deep wounds to surface and be addressed Therapists' own healing, awareness of personal wounds, and openness to being transformed are crucial for effective therapy, as their blind spots can affect the client's healing. Sometimes the ongoing problems we experience in life, such as anxiety or depression, are rooted in deeper wounds or beliefs. Allowing God into the past experiences that led to the creation of a wound can help transform our current struggles. The ultimate goal of therapy is helping people grow in freedom to love and fulfil their vocation, not just to alleviate pain. Most healing is gradual and requires patience and trust in God's timing. God heals so we can be in relationship with Him. Have you ever wondered what God's arrival somewhere actually looks like? Ezekiel chapter 1 gives us perhaps the most vivid glimpse found anywhere in Scripture—and it's absolutely mind-bending.Glenn and Steve dive deep into the prophet's extraordinary vision, exploring the whirlwind of fire, the four-faced living creatures, the mysterious wheels within wheels covered with eyes, and the overwhelming splendor that caused Ezekiel to fall flat on his face in reverent awe. But rather than getting lost in symbolic interpretations, they focus on experiencing the emotional impact and theological significance of this cosmic encounter. The conversation reveals how modern believers have often domesticated our concept of God into something comfortable and manageable. Biblical encounters with the divine were never casual—they were overwhelming, sometimes leaving prophets physically ill for days afterward. This should make us skeptical of contemporary claims about casual heavenly visits where people claim to high-five Jesus or treat Him like an ordinary friend. What emerges from this exploration is a portrait of God whose omniscience is depicted through beings with faces looking in every direction and wheels covered with watchful eyes. His omnipresence and responsiveness are illustrated through supernatural mobility in any direction without turning. His transformative glory causes everything in His presence to shine with reflected light. Most profoundly, the hosts reflect on the theological depth of this vision: "Would we really want a God we could fully understand and explain? That's not really a God—it's a pet or a machine." True divinity transcends our comprehension while inviting our worship.Whether you're a longtime Bible student or just curious about Scripture's more mysterious passages, this episode offers fresh insights into the awesome nature of God and reminds us that approaching Him requires both reverence and wonder. Take a journey with us beyond the veil and discover a God who's bigger, more glorious, and more present than you might have imagined.Support the showThank you for listening!! Before Isaiah could be sent, he had to be undone. Isaiah's story shows us that we're not ready for the mission of God until we've come face-to-face with the holiness of God and surrendered everything. We see how encountering God's holiness leads to confession, healing, and ultimately, calling. It's grace that sends us. And it's grace that sustains us.

"Encountering God's Holiness," Trinity Sunday, Isaiah 6:1-7, The Rt. Rev. Alan Hawkins.
The more we dwell in God's presence, the more our hearts are unveiled and transformed. Through prayer, worship, and the Word, we are sanctified and set apart, reflecting the true image of Jesus day by day. Just as Isaiah's heart was purified in God's presence, we too are refined and commissioned for His glory. When we live near the throne, His light drives out every shadow, and we become vessels of gold, shining His love and power. Let's be lightning rods for His presence, bringing healing, joy, and freedom to those around us!
Through Christ, the distorted image of God in us is fully restored! We were created in His image, but sin separated us. Now, through the finished work of Jesus, we are separated from sin and set apart for His glory. When we war, we don't fight from an earthly position but from a heavenly one, where victory has already been won. What we bind on Earth is already bound in Heaven, and what we loose is already loosed. Let's walk in this divine authority, radiating His holiness and presence everywhere we go.

This episode moves into week 5 of Lent and looks at Matthew 27:22-31 and Mark 15:37-41. In these passages, we see Jesus before Pilate, including how the soldiers treated Him, and the last breath of Jesus. Together we discuss how the love that Jesus has for His Father is the foundation for His obedience, obedience that results in love for all those around Him. In the same way, we come to realize that as important as it is for us to love those around us, this love, first comes out of obedience rooted in love for Jesus.

When you go to church, are you simply attending, or are you seeking to encounter the living God? To experience the Creator of the universe in a way that transforms your life? In this message, Francis Chan challenges the way we approach worship, truth, and the Holy Spirit. Are we just hearing the Word, or are we responding to it? Are we pursuing knowledge, or a deeper intimacy with God? True worship goes beyond singing and learning—it's a life-changing response to God's presence.
Stasi is happy to welcome back Liz Wright — best-selling author, international speaker, and CEO and Founder of the International Mentoring Community — whose life is a beautiful testimony of profound transformation because of the love of Christ. Today's conversation is a divine invitation. Jesus is calling us into rest — not just as a moment of pause, but as a way of continually living in Him. Together, they unpack the power of trusting Jesus and the freedom that comes when we surrender and believe. May your heart be drawn closer to Him as you receive the rest He so freely gives!…..SHOW NOTES:…..VERSES: Psalm 62:1 (NIV) – Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV) – This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.'Hebrews 4:1-3 (NLT) – God's promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it. For this good news – that God has prepared this rest – has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn't share the faith of those who listened to God. For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,'” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world.Matthew 11:28 (NLT) – Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT) – For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.Ephesians 4:23-24 (NLT) – Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God – truly righteous and holy.Philippians 4:19 (NLT) – And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.…..LIZ WRIGHTWebsite: https://lizwright.org/Website: https://www.jointheimc.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/lizwrightShow: https://www.god.tv/ministries/liz-wright/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lizwrightministries/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lizwrightministriesLIZ WRIGHT BIOLiz Wright's story is one of radical transformation.
