In this episode, Dr. Jim Van Gelderen speaks from Piedmont, Missouri, about the essential element that transforms truth into life change: application. He explains how biblical commands and principles must be practically implemented through Spirit-led standards. Drawing from personal stories and revival ministry experience, Dr. Jim urges young people to embrace conviction, avoid legalism, and courageously follow God's specific leading in their lives.Topics DiscussedWhat application is—and what it isn'tThe difference between commands, principles, and standardsWhy some standards differ based on personal past strugglesPractical examples of media, music, and technology applicationsThe difference between intrinsic wrongs and associational issuesThe Holy Spirit's role in grace-filled obedienceAvoiding legalism while still having strong standardsThe importance of responding to conviction immediatelyKey TakeawaysPreaching must lead to application or it's incomplete.Standards are personalized applications of God's Word, not legalistic rules.Different people will need different standards based on past experiences and weaknesses. The Holy Spirit leads both in conviction and in enabling you to live it out.Applications you make while young can protect and shape your entire life. Topic: Walking With GodFourth Commandment: Observe the Sabbath Exodus 20:1-2, 8-11; Deuteronomy 5:12-15; Matthew 6:25-34; Matthew 11:28-12:14; Mark 2:27 It's hard to stop sometimes. We live in a culture that glorifies busyness. Busyness is the "answer" for the sense of significance and security we crave. But we forgot who loves us. A very important part of walking with God is to stop walking and rest with Him. Today it's the one Commandment with two reasons. It's the Sabbath because you are significant and secure.

We are influenced by those around us but we also influence them too. We can be changed or we can become agents of change. The Third Commandment is a call to be influencers and aware of our influence. It's a call to live like we know and love God that our words and actions would represent him well.

In this deeply personal episode, Bobby Bosler reflects on a recent moment when the pressures of pastoral ministry weighed heavily on his soul. Drawing encouragement from 1 Peter 5, he shares how the Lord—our Chief Shepherd—met him in his weakness and restored his joy. This message is not just for pastors, but for anyone who finds themselves burdened while trying to follow God.Topics DiscussedA fresh look at 1 Peter 5 from the perspective of a new pastorThe biblical call to “feed the flock of God”How leadership can lead to personal anxietyCasting your cares on Christ as an act of humility and faithA powerful moment of personal soul restorationEncouragement for teens to seek wisdom from those who've gone beforeThe universal need for dependence on the Chief ShepherdKey TakeawaysTrue spiritual leadership flows from a willing, humble heart—not from obligation or control. The weight of responsibility can become overwhelming—but it's not ours to carry alone.Jesus, the Chief Shepherd, not only cares for us, but actively lifts and restores our souls when we turn to Him.Whether leading or following, every believer is called to humble dependence on the Lord.Would you like me to include a blurb about your current sermon series or location in the summary, or keep the focus general for broader audience connection? Pastor Jake compares life with God to floating down a river, peaceful when we trust His guidance, but exhausting when we fight for control. He shares stories from 2 Kings, such as Elisha's protection by angel armies and the salvation of Samaria, to remind us that God is the one who saves; we simply receive His grace. Jake encourages us to stop paddling against God's current, embrace the life Jesus offers, and, like the lepers in 2 Kings, share the good news with joy.

Topic: Walking With GodSecond Commandment: No Idols Exodus 20:1-2, 4-6; Deuteronomy 5:8-10; Exodus 32; John 14:6-9; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:1-3; Romans 1:21-23 Who is God, and what is He like? There are lots of opinions on that. We work hard to make Him understandable, relatable, and agreeable to us. But the Second Commandment puts boundaries on that. To walk with God is to accept Him for who He is and how He has revealed Himself. He is pursuing an honest relationship with us. He is jealous that we would love Him for who He really is and not who we want Him to be.
Topic: Walking With God, Ben McEachernFirst Commandment: No Other GodsExodus 20:1-3; Deuteronomy 5:6-7; Matthew 10:37-39 When people become friends, they become one of many for as long as it works out. When a man and woman unite in marriage, they "forsake all others until death do us part." When we walk with God, it becomes the primary relationship of our lives. It's the relationship that defines all others. It's more like a marriage than a friendship. Intimacy and joy is found in fidelity.
Good intentions alone or not enough to maintain consistency in your walk with God. Walking with God must be done on purpose. Using 2 biblical examples Tom presents some thoughts about a scheduled and structured approach to your time each day with God.

Topic: Walking With God, Pastor Ben McEachernVerses: Exodus 19:5-6, 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:1-21; Mark 12:28-34; 1 Peter 2:9-10 What makes a marriage a good marriage, a friendship a good friendship, or teammates a good team? It's the ability to walk, work, and play together. It's shared goals and shared values. It's a commitment of love and trust. Today we start a series on the 10 Commandments. They're not just rules. They're an invitation from God to trust His love enough to live and love as His people. They're God saying, "I love you. Walk with me."

Love One Another Week 1 ( 1st Jn 1:1-2:17)What does it really mean to walk with God? In this opening message from our series on 1 John, we explore how love, truth, and light are inseparable from genuine faith. Drawing on John's eyewitness account of Jesus, this sermon challenges us to examine whether our lives reflect God's light—or if we're still walking in darkness. If we claim to know God but don't love others, we've missed the heart of the gospel. True fellowship with God begins with seeing—and treating—others as fellow image-bearers of God.
➡️ In this powerful message, Pastor Nate Clarke kicks off our new series Walking With God by diving deep into the life of Abraham in Genesis 12. This isn't just a story about faith—it's about how God's faithfulness shines brightest in the middle of our failure, fear, and detours. Whether you're in a spiritual Egypt or facing trials that are shaking your faith, this message will encourage you to return to the altar of surrender.
