The Dakar Rally Daily podcast is a fantastic resource for fans of the Dakar Rally, providing in-depth coverage and insights into the race. Hosted by Quinn Cody and Jesse Ziegler, both of whom have firsthand experience racing in the event, the podcast offers insider information and interviews with rally riders and support team members. It fills a void in the US where finding reliable news about the race can be challenging. The podcast even attracts great sponsors whose products listeners may already use.

One of the best aspects of The Dakar Rally Daily podcast is Quinn Cody's insight as a former racer. His firsthand knowledge of the event adds depth to the commentary and analysis provided on each episode. The hosts also do an excellent job of securing interviews with top competitors and support team members, allowing listeners to get closer to the action than ever before. The podcast provides updates on rule changes, strategy, controversies, and overall standings, keeping fans informed throughout the race.

While it's hard to find any significant flaws with The Dakar Rally Daily podcast, one minor drawback could be its limited release schedule during non-Dakar periods. A suggestion from a listener to have monthly episodes or cover other rally events would be a great way to keep fans engaged throughout the year. However, this small critique does not detract from the overall quality and enjoyment of the podcast.

In conclusion, The Dakar Rally Daily podcast is a must-listen for fans of the Dakar Rally who crave detailed coverage and behind-the-scenes insights into this iconic race. With hosts who bring their own experiences as racers to each episode and a lineup of top-notch guests, this podcast keeps listeners informed about every aspect of the event. Whether it's rule changes, training insights, or interviews with notable figures in rally raid racing, this podcast delivers exceptional content that satisfies even the most avid Dakar enthusiasts.

Even without the bonus time gathered today, Brabec would be leading the 2024 Dakar Rally by around four minutes over Branch.Brabec's Honda teammate Adrien Van Beveren came in third, just past three minutes down. The 2024 Dakar Rally "48-Hour Chrono" stage kicked off today and dished out more challenges for the Dakar Rally competitors. Top Rally GP competitors lead out the day into Saudi Arabia's Empty Quarter to remote bivouacs that are spread out along the course. AVB's Honda teammate Ricky Brabec came in to the bivouac hot on his heels to sit in second (Virtually) and Red Bull KTM's Toby Price is right behind him in third. Honda's Skyler Howes left the race today after only ~40KM due to a techincal issue with his bike and yesterday's stage winner Pablo Quintanilla - poised to make up big time today after a reversed starting order - ran out of fuel 10km before the first refueling of the day, an error that dashes his hopes of overall victory. Check in with Malle Moto competitors with us today, as well as a chat with Women's class leader and enduro champion Jane Daniels on the Fantic machine. Cheers! Stage 13 show is up and ready to rock. Today we cover stage 13 from the 2023 Dakar Rally and, unbelievably, the race is actually closer, again. After a big day in the dunes, the leaders of the overall classification are separated by a mere 12 seconds. Third place is a minute-and-a-half back from the lead. We've never seen a Dakar Rally so close. And tomorrow's final stage will be a ripper with racers starting in reverse order and absolutely sending it for 130km into the final podium. It's a heated race between KTM teammates Toby Price (leading) and Kevin Benavides. Benavides took the stage win today, his first of the rally, and Toby has been in absolute control the entire two weeks of the race. Third place is American Skyler Howes, who lost a little time today but is still within striking distance. We also saw a new racer on the stage podium today with Michael Docherty taking second. A great ride!Today we hear directly from Toby Price, Skyler Howes, Michael Docherty, Adrian VanBeveren, Pablo Quintanilla, Jacob Argubright, and Miriam Pol.Available time to make up isn't a lot tomorrow, but anything can happen! Today's KLIM Dakar Rally Daily show from Stage 12 is here and we are blown away by how close the front of the race continues to be. Amazing rides at the front of the race today shook the results up and turned predictability on its head. But, the front three contenders are still in control and the time gaps are someone staying unbelievably tight. We're talking less than three minutes separating the top three, 28-second gap between the top two! That's right, 28 seconds is the gap at the top of this Dakar Rally. We hear directly from stage bosses Daniel Sanders and Toby Price as they represent Australia with big pride at the front of the race today, delivering crazy strong performances in the dunes. Skyler Howes steals some internet access and sends us an update from the last few stages, as well. Great to hear from you, Skyler! Finally, our on-the-ground man with the microphone, Ashley House brings us two quick interviews today. First up is Technical Director at the KTM group for Rally Stefan Huber, who we've talked to before, but never during a Dakar quite like this. Then, House takes us to the Original by Motul class and gets the two front runners, who are separated by less than three minutes for the win, in a dual-interview full of drama! Ok, not really, but it is entertaining to hear directly from the gladiators of Dakar.More fun and great race insight on today's show. Enjoy!

Stage Seven from the 2023 Dakar Rally was canceled after Stage six dragged on for most riders into the night. Well, the chaos continues to reign down on the Dakar racers after a massive, 900-plus-kilometer stage with a grueling 300KM liaison back to the pits. That liaison was almost as long as the entire timed special race portion of the day. And, it was a  surprise! Most racers figured the planned day would go as originally planned, but that didn't happen. With today's original bivouac area completely flooded out, it was impossible for the moving city of a race to go there. So, organizers picked up and moved to stage 8's planned finish and that makes a logistical nightmare for everyone, including the racers who had to sit on the highway for hours to get back to the pits.Action on the tracks was a little less dramatic, with most racers finishing strong without issue. There are a few exceptions including our own Paul Neff (we're claiming him) who, as of this writing, is still in the desert diagnosing and working on an electrical issue on his bike - hours from the finish. It's 8:30 AM here in California. For Paul, that's 7:30 PM in Saudi, in the dark, in the cold, and it's probably raining on him.  C'mon Paul, you can do it!Today's show is a good one, with good insight into the top-five-finish strategy and risk game. Dakar Rally Stage 4 didn't disappoint with the speed and drama we expect from this epic race.  After losing Ricky Brabec to a crash (he's ok!) yesterday, the Honda crew stepped it up big time today with top finishes  and a stage win from Joan Barreda (29th stage win) and Pablo Quintanilla in second. Skyler Howes rode incredibly strong, again, to round out the top three - starting in second on the outset.Toby Price, Adrien VanBeveren, Luciano Benavides, Kevin Benavides, Daniel Sanders (who led out the day), Nacho Cornejo, and Luciano Santolino (Sherco) completed the top-10. Mason Klein, the Dakar prodigy, had a fantastic day going once again until a fuel issue caused him to park and work on his KTM for a few minutes at the very end of the special, dropping him down to 11th on the day's standings. He really limited his losses with massive performance early, grabbing early waypoint bonuses for leading the stage and was in contention for the stage win until the last points. Yesterdays winner, Daniel Sanders, had a bit of a struggle leading the way today, allowing Howes to catch up early and steal some bonus points away. Even so, Sanders still leads the overall rankings by 3:30 with Howes in second and Kevin Benavides in third. We also get an update from Jacob Argubright after a tough stage three and refreshing stage four finish, and get our American Rally Originals insight from our favorite message sender, Paul Neff. Today was one of those days at Dakar that really shakes things up.  For all but 43 motorcycle riders, the race stage was cut short due to a massive rain/hail storm wiping through the Saudi desert. The images are insane and reports are nasty.  For most of the moto contenders, the day ahead of that storm was fantastic. Unfortunately, American Ricky Brabec has withdrew from the race after a hard crash during the stage. His injuries aren't fully known yet but we do know he was stable with mobility en-route to scans at the hospital. Reports are of neck and shoulder pain at this time. Red Bull GasGas rider Daniel Sanders grabbed a commanding stage win by blitzing through a long, tough, stage after a strategic finishing position yesterday put him in a prime place to win. His speed is what did the deed, though, as he led from every checkpoint all day and managed to put some serious time into his rivals in the top-ten general standing for the race.American Husqvarna Factory pilot Skyler Howes  finished the stage in second today after starting in the usually unfavorable spot of third on the day. Howes was able to carry big speed all day despite being up front and, as you'll hear in today's show, he really enjoyed himself. Fellow American Mason Klein led the entire 400+ KM of timed special stage after his win yesterday to finish an amazing third today and  put his stamp of competency and contention on the 2023 Dakar and the Rally GP class. The 21-year-old American lost minimal time to stage winner Sanders and benefitted from the new stage-leading bonus rules from the organization to limit his losses even more. In the end, he only gave up around six minutes the insanely fast Australian. The only way this happens is if Mason Klein rides like an absolute boss leading the world's best riders. And he did just that. More insight in this episode from Red Bull KTM's Australian legend Toby Price and his teammate Kevin Benevides as well as our daily check in with the Ironmen of the sport and our daily Paul Neff quote - one of our favorite parts of the day. More tomorrow from Stage 4. But, it seemed, the field was more than happy to give him the chance to lead out towards the end of the rally and he did so with a bit of authority, stamping his name in the Dakar stage winner's book. We get on the phone with Klein and chat about his day in this episode. Also, we talk with the other American privateer out there, Jacob Argubright. Massive miles and challenging terrain, mixed with navigation complications right out of the gate, had front runners scrambling to limit time loss, while those who set off in a favorable starting position further back reaped maximum benefits.Starting the day in the overall lead for the rally, Monster Energy Yamaha's Adrian Van Beveren had a tough task starting towards the front of the race with rival teams surrounding him. It didn't take long for it to get worse as major time was lost in the first miles. We speak with Van Beveren's Yamaha teammate Andrew Short about the stage and what happened as time bled from Van Beveren's lead. We also hear from Pablo Quintanilla on the Monster Energy Honda team, as he kept his podium position intact after a tough day. Matthias Walkner on the Red Bull KTM is right there with him. Rest day is here for the 2022 Dakar Rally and we're reporting after the shortened Stage 6 that saw the motorcycle competitors hit extreme challenges on a brutally beat up course. If you remember, today's moto course was raced on yesterday by the horsepower-hungry cars, trucks, buggies and more. And while they laid down some pretty obvious tracks to navigate from, the roadbook didn't really represent the dangers out there  after the carnage. The result was some big crashes right away, one taking out Monster Energy Yamaha's Ross Branch from the race who was second off the line, only making it 3km into today's challenge (reports are he broke his leg). Today's first bike out, that of Danilo Petrucci, also crashed on the same obstacle, putting the MotoGP star down early, although he was able to continue on with the day, battered as he was. That early carnage set off the chain of events that would eventually shorten the stage by 3/4 of the planned distance, with racers racing roughly 100km today. Therefore, racers looking to gain big time today were limited, and those at risk of losing a lot were presented a gift. In today's show we chat directly with GasGas' Daniel Sanders and rookie sensation Mason Klein as well as the man with the meal plan, Kendall Norman. Enjoy this unfiltered and raw look into the day leading into the rest day from the riders and teams' perspectives as we head into the second week of this brutal event. Thanks for listening!
