POPULARITY
And the winner is… And the winner is: Christophe Ponsson.

The return of Toprak Razgatlioglu is the biggest talking in the paddock and we've got the Turkish superstar on the pod to get you up to date on his condition and how he feels ahead of this weekend. It's a break from the norm for our Superbike shows but Steve and Gordo get you all the latest news from WorldSBK!
Paddock Pass Podcast - Motorcycle Racing - MotoGP - World Superbike
Back to back rounds create a unique challenge. Co-ordinating recording is always a difficult task as we travel from one country to the next but for our review of the Cremona WorldSBK Round we decided to wait until we were assembled in Motorland Aragon. An added benefit of this is that we can recap the Italian action and grab five minutes with the riders as they go about their Thursday media duties. Danilo Petrucci was the star of the show at Round 9 and the Barni Ducati rider joins us to talk about winning, how his style of riding evolved from childhood and what it meant to win again after his training crash in April. He wasn't the only Ducati rider to appear as we grabbed Alvaro Bautista to talk about his Superpole struggles and whether he can still be a title contender. Adrian Huertas also stopped by to give us his thoughts on moving to Moto2 in 2025. The return of Toprak Razgatlioglu is the biggest story in Aragon and we couldn't record without getting ten minutes with the Superbike Superstar. After initially being rebuffed by BMW Toprak sat down with Steve and Gordo for ten minutes to talk about his injury, the frustrations of watching from home and his excitement of getting back to work!

Jön a gyorsasági motoros világbajnokság történetének 1000.nagydíja.

WARNING: About 35 minutes in is a discussion about assault and the Tom Booth-Amos video that did the rounds last week. You may find discussions on this upsetting. Look after yourselves. - Dre The dentist will see you again. MotoGP has a new #RainGawd and his name is Miguel Oliviera. Not you, Danilo Petrucci! Anyway, we talk about his outstanding 2nd win of the year in Thailand, during a thunderstorm that very nearly got the race abandoned. We also have an even more ridiculous situation. Let's weigh this up: Fabio Quartararo only finishes 17th after getting jitters in the rain. Aleix Espargaro only finishes 11th after they hate the rear tyre and Aleix takes a long lap penalty for bumping into Brad Binder. And with Jack Miller 2nd, Franceso Bagnaia 3rd and Enea Bastianini in the Top 6, we now have all FIVE men within 40 points of the title with only 75 available. We assess all their weaknesses in this game of shithousery and ask once again, does anyone want to win this title?! Also, that warned discussion is on the leaked video of former Moto3 rider Tom Booth-Amos getting assaulted by a crew chief who was still in the paddock at time of leak. It forces me and Cam to have a serious dialogue about safeguarding within the sport and whether it has any sort of finger on the pulse about how it looks to the outside world. it's heavy stuff, but we think worth the time. Thanks for listening.
Having cut a 91-point deficit to Fabio Quartararo to just two points in the last three months, momentum is with Pecco Bagnaia in the 2022 MotoGP world championship fight. But does that make him title favourite, or is reigning champion Quartararo still going to be too tough to overcome in normal circumstances? And can Aleix Espargaro still spring a surprise? And should we even count out Enea Bastianini and Jack Miller?Simon Patterson and Valentin Khorounzhiy join stand-in host Matt Beer on The Race MotoGP Podcast to debate what might happen in the championship denouement after the action in Thailand.Likely form at the three remaining tracks, potential weather curveballs and the role of Ducati's massive gaggle of bikes and approach to team orders all play into our panel's deliberations. The latest information about Marc Marquez's progress back towards full fitness and competitiveness, Danilo Petrucci's comeback, the shocking video that emerged of a physical assault in a Moto3 garage in 2019, and Buriram winner Miguel Oliveira's wild form fluctuations are also discussed.Follow The Race on Instagram, Twitter and FacebookCheck out our latest videos on YouTubeDownload our brand-new app on iOS or AndroidFor MotoGP news, analysis and must-read features visit the-race.com Hosted on Acast. The Race MotoGP podcast welcomes special guest Danilo Petrucci in its latest edition, as the Italian discusses his first attempt at the Dakar Rally.Petrucci, a two-time race winner in grand prix racing's premier class, left MotoGP at the end of last season but was set up with a shot at the Dakar by employer KTM - which yielded a stage win and several other standout performances.Joining host Toby Moody and MotoGP writers Simon Patterson and Valentin Khorounzhiy, Petrucci discusses the highs but also the lows of his experience in Saudi Arabia, telling stories of frantically trying to find a path when getting lost in the desert and of coming close to pulling out of the rally entirely shortly after his fifth-stage triumph. The Italian also addresses the one part of the Dakar he still struggles to accept, and touches upon why he is set to make a return to road racing in MotoAmerica this season instead of tackling the cross-country world championship - and what this means for his future Dakar plans.
In the latest edition of the Tank Slappers Podcast, double MotoGP race winner Danilo Petrucci joins Autosport's Lewis Duncan to discuss his wild Dakar debut. Full of drama, fairy-tale success, and a run in with a camel, this is one not to be missed

As the 2022 Dakar Rally enters the "rest day" we get updates from injured riders Skyler Howes and Ross Branch, have a chat with navigation training guru Jimmy Lewis, learn about Danilo Petrucci from Cycle News' Rennie Scaysbrook and hear from Hero Motorsports rally racing director Wolfgang Fischer about the success of the Hero Rally program. Also, we're answering instagram-submitted questions on air and look forward to the upcoming behemoth stage 7! It's not really a rest day, after all. It's just a day without a race!
Rest day is here for the 2022 Dakar Rally and we're reporting after the shortened Stage 6 that saw the motorcycle competitors hit extreme challenges on a brutally beat up course. If you remember, today's moto course was raced on yesterday by the horsepower-hungry cars, trucks, buggies and more. And while they laid down some pretty obvious tracks to navigate from, the roadbook didn't really represent the dangers out there after the carnage. The result was some big crashes right away, one taking out Monster Energy Yamaha's Ross Branch from the race who was second off the line, only making it 3km into today's challenge (reports are he broke his leg). Today's first bike out, that of Danilo Petrucci, also crashed on the same obstacle, putting the MotoGP star down early, although he was able to continue on with the day, battered as he was. That early carnage set off the chain of events that would eventually shorten the stage by 3/4 of the planned distance, with racers racing roughly 100km today. Therefore, racers looking to gain big time today were limited, and those at risk of losing a lot were presented a gift. In today's show we chat directly with GasGas' Daniel Sanders and rookie sensation Mason Klein as well as the man with the meal plan, Kendall Norman. Enjoy this unfiltered and raw look into the day leading into the rest day from the riders and teams' perspectives as we head into the second week of this brutal event. Thanks for listening!

The Dakar Rally starts after the rest day. We've heard that plenty from racers, managers, and more. And it certainly seems to be holding true in 2022's edition of the Dakar. Today on Stage five, we saw our first contender fall and abandon the race with American success story Skyler Howes headed to the hospital right after completing the stage. He reported in to the show with a decent prognosis after a massive crash: concussion, sore heel, no broken bones. But his race is over.Others crashed as well, two-time stage winner Joan Barreda crashed and injured his shoulder. After finishing, he said he'll wait until the morning to inform the organizers if his race is over. Daniel Sanders seems to have hit the deck again, as well - two days in a row for the fast Australian.Despite the carnage, an unlikely winner emerges. MotoGP veteran Danilo Petrucci, participating in his first Dakar (maybe his first rally) took the stage win after Toby Price was docked with a six-minute speeding penalty. The win is a milestone as never has a MotoGP winner won a stage of Dakar. Also, he's a true rookie, which puts him in rarified air again. In today's show we try to keep up with the changing pace of the race results, get an update from Ricky Brabec, hear from race leader Sam Sunderland, get a quote from Ross Branch and dig into what's to come. Check it out!

Listen in to our Stage four show for insight into the Dakar Rally's results from the day and check out our interview with factory racer Andrew Short (Yamaha) and an epic group chat/bench race session that goes down in the bivouac with Skyler Howes (Husqvarna) and Matthias Walkner (KTM) and rookie sensation Mason Klein. Monster Energy Honda's Joan Barreda took his 28th career stage win today by laying down a blistering pace across 465km of fast tracks and some tricky navigation of special test. Barreda's Honda teammate, Pablo Quintanilla, chased his way to second on the day with the Sherco Factory Racing duo of Rui Concalves and Luciano Santolino going third and fourth, respectively. Fifth place went to Husqvarna's Luciano Benavides. In the general standings, GasGas Factory Racing's Sam Sunderland retains the overall lead, now three minutes ahead of second place. Walkner moved into second overall today ahead of Yamaha's Adrian VanBeveren. Less than five minutes seperates the top three. MotoGP's Danilo Petrucci had a fast race today after re-joining the race as a provisional entry after his early mechanical DNF with the third fastest time on the day. Unfortunately, he was docked 10 minutes for speeding through a limited zone, putting him in 15th officially on the day. Don't miss today's show!

Toby Moody and Simon Patterson discuss the latest on the situation of the man who has finished second in the championship for the last three years, how the injury could affect his 2020 season, and if it will have any influence on his place in the 2021 rider market. Talking of deals for the future, we round up the latest jigsaw pieces being put into place, including KTM's reshuffle that involves Danilo Petrucci riding a Tech3 bike next year. There's also discussion on the developments in Andrea Iannone's doping case, how the calendar looks so far, and Simon's take on journalists not being allowed to attend the early races of the season.
