What is the real killer when it comes to heart disease? Can the right cardiac testing truly mean the difference between life and death? In today's episode, we are joined by Dr. John Osborne, a Harvard-trained, triple board-certified cardiologist and Co-Founder of ClearCardio, to break it all down… Dr. Osborne earned his B.S. with honors from Penn State University, his M.D. magna cum laude from Jefferson Medical College, and a Ph.D. in cardiovascular physiology from Thomas Jefferson University. His postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital helped shape his expertise in non-invasive cardiology. Board-certified across multiple disciplines, his work focuses on preventive cardiology, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular genetics. Recognized as the American Heart Association's Cardiac Care Provider of the Year and named a Top Doctor multiple times, Dr. Osborne has authored original research papers, book chapters, and delivered hundreds of international presentations. Through ClearCardio, he is advancing proactive cardiac care by integrating AI-powered imaging to detect plaque earlier, quantify risk more precisely, and empower patients before symptoms appear. In this episode, we dive into: What actually causes heart attacks and sudden cardiac death. The role of soft plaque vs calcified plaque in coronary artery disease. Why many heart attacks happen after a "normal" stress test. The limits of stents and why they do not necessarily extend longevity. Dr. Osborne makes it clear: if you don't have lifespan, healthspan doesn't matter.Dr. Osborne explains that cardiovascular disease has been the leading cause of death for over 120 years — responsible for roughly 40–45% of deaths, even during COVID. Globally, around 20 million people die each year from heart disease. The problem? We typically detect it far too late.Traditional cardiology focuses on finding severe blockages — the equivalent of detecting stage 4 cancer. But plaque (atherosclerosis) develops silently over decades. In fact, 85% of heart attacks occur in people without severe blockages detected beforehand, due to sudden plaque rupture.Even more alarming:Half of men and two-thirds of women experience a fatal event as their first symptom. Most people have no warning signs.Dr. Osborne's mission is early detection — what he calls the cardiac version of a colonoscopy. At Clear Cardio, they use:Advanced 640-slice Cardiac CT technologyAI-enhanced imaging capable of detecting plaque the size of a period at the end of a sentencePersonalized prevention plans based on decades of lipid and cardiovascular expertiseAccording to Dr. Osborne:99% of people have detectable plaqueOnly about 1% are completely plaque-freeMost people feel perfectly fine and have normal stress testsThe difference is that this technology detects plaque long before symptoms appear — when it's still reversible.Dr. Osborne emphasizes that we already have powerful, proven tools:Nutrition and exerciseBlood pressure and blood sugar managementAdvanced lipid therapiesTargeted medications when necessaryThe issue isn't lack of treatment — it's lack of early detection.Even those with strong genetic risk can reduce their risk by 50% with proper lifestyle habits. And for those who “picked the wrong ancestors,” there are still highly effective treatment options available. The cardiac CT scan also provides additional insights, including:Lung imagingFatty liver detectionBone densitySpine assessmentAll with extremely low radiation exposure — roughly equivalent to a chest X-ray, and far less than traditional nuclear stress tests.Dr. Osborne compares modern heart prevention to the early days of insulin in 1922 — a turning point that transformed diabetes care. He believes we're at a similar tipping point for heart disease. His ultimate goal?To eliminate plaque-driven heart disease entirely — and put himself out of business.Clear Cardio is currently operating in Dallas and Chicago, expanding to Manhattan, Miami, and other major cities, with the long-term goal of reaching high-population areas nationwide. If you're interested in online personal training or being a guest on my podcast, "Over 40 Fitness Hacks," you can reach me at brad@over40fitnesshacks.com or visit my website at:www.Over40FitnessHacks.comAdditionally, check out my Yelp reviews for my local business, Evolve Gym in Huntington Beach, at https://bit.ly/3GCKRzV

This week on Inspire Change, Gunter discusses what is consciousness, and how does it shape the inner lives of men?In this episode of Inspire Change with Gunter, Gunter explores the complex nature of consciousness and its profound influence on self-awareness, emotional experience, and personal growth. Drawing from psychology, neuroscience, and decades of therapeutic experience, he examines how consciousness shapes men's inner worlds — and why understanding it is essential for healing, emotional intelligence, and authentic connection. Rather than treating consciousness as an abstract concept, Gunter breaks it down into practical components that listeners can explore in their own lives. He explains how internalized voices, social conditioning, and relational environments influence self-perception and vulnerability, and how greater awareness can lead to healthier emotional expression and deeper personal insight. This conversation offers practical questions and reflective tools designed to help listeners better understand their mental states, emotional patterns, and self-model — opening pathways toward growth, resilience, and meaningful change.Key Themes & Discussion PointsThe Nature of ConsciousnessWhy consciousness remains one of psychology's most complex and “stubborn” questionsExploring whether we are mechanical beings or living organisms with rich inner worldsThe Three Components of ConsciousnessGunter outlines three interacting elements:State — the current mental and emotional conditionContent — thoughts, feelings, and sensory experienceSelf-model — how we perceive and define ourselvesInternalized Voices & Self-PerceptionHow introjected voices shape identity and self-awarenessThe influence of early authority figures and cultural messagingHow internal narratives shape emotional regulation and behaviorSocial Environment & Emotional ExpressionThe role of mirror neurons and relational dynamicsHow social environments influence vulnerability and connectionWhy men often experience emotional restriction in relational spacesConsciousness & MasculinityCultural conditioning and its impact on men's emotional accessHow masculinity norms influence vulnerability and self-expressionThe relationship between consciousness, emotional intelligence, and personal growthPractical Reflection QuestionsGunter offers guiding questions to deepen awareness:State• What is my current mental and emotional state?• Am I calm, tense, distracted, or overwhelmed?Content• What thoughts and emotions are present right now?• Are they grounded in reality or shaped by past experience?Self-Model• How do I see myself in this moment?• Is this perception compassionate, critical, or inherited? These questions help cultivate self-awareness and create space for intentional change.Memorable Sound Bites“Are we machines or living beings with inner worlds?”“Consciousness is three things working together.”“Internalized voices shape your self-model.”

Michelle James isn't just a footnote in wrestling history—she's the woman who stood beside Matt Osborne, the man behind Doink the Clown, for over a decade. Married from 1993 to 2004, Michelle is the mother of Osborne's children and, after his tragic passing in 2013, became the driving force behind a wrongful death lawsuit against WWE, filed on behalf of their kids. This is the untold side of the Doink the Clown story—life beyond the ring, the toll of the business, and a mother's fight for accountability after the spotlight fades. A story WWE fans rarely hear… but should. #DoinkTheClown #MattOsborne #MattBorne #WWEHistory #WrestlingTruth #BehindTheGimmick #DarkSideOfTheRing #ProWrestling #WrestlingLegacy #WWE Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. This week on Inspire Change, Gunter opens the conversation on whether human beings are fundamentally decent — and why that decency can become inaccessible in the moments that matter most.Drawing from contemporary social thought and decades of clinical experience, Gunter challenges the cultural addiction to cynicism and the masculine posture that equates hardness with maturity. While many systems assume people are selfish or brutal under pressure, Gunter suggests the deeper issue is not a lack of conscience, but restricted access to empathy, tenderness, and connection. He explores how men are often shaped by an internal moral code that links worth to competence, control, and self-sufficiency — a code enforced through shame and status defense. In this emotional operating system, vulnerability can feel like loss of rank, and softness like existential risk. As a result, decency may be present but hidden behind armor. This episode examines how these internal rules play out in conflict, intimacy, fatherhood, grief, and therapy — and why psychotherapy remains one of the few spaces where masculinity can be experienced without shame and connection can replace performance.Gunter also warns that moral ambition without vulnerability can become another form of defended performance. True change, he argues, begins with restoring access to vulnerability and relational accountability so that contribution becomes service rather than status. He offers three practical bridges for restoring access to decency:• Name the internal rule driving defensiveness• Practice small acts of shame tolerance through honest vulnerability• Make decency concrete through repair, accountability, and action under pressureIf humans are decent, the real question becomes: why do so many men struggle to show it when it matters most? The answer is not that men are bad — but that many have been trained to protect rank and competence at the expense of connection. This episode invites listeners to move decency from belief to behavior — breath by breath, repair by repair.GratitudeHello to all our listeners, we thank you for tuning in and promoting positive social change. In this episode of Sisterhood of S.W.E.A.T., Linda Mitchell sits down with Dr. John Osborne, board-certified cardiologist, lipidologist, and founder of Clear Cardio, to challenge conventional thinking around cholesterol and heart disease. Dr. Osborne explains why LDL cholesterol alone is not a reliable standalone marker for cardiovascular disease and why focusing only on traditional lab numbers can create a false sense of security. He shares how plaque can quietly develop for decades before symptoms appear — and why the first symptom for many people is a heart attack or sudden cardiac event. The conversation explores the evolution of cardiac imaging, the role of ApoB and lipoprotein(a) in risk assessment, and how advanced cardiac CT combined with artificial intelligence now allows physicians to detect, measure, and track plaque in ways that were previously impossible. This episode reframes heart disease as something that can be identified early — and potentially prevented — when the right tools are used. What We Talk About in This Episode Why LDL cholesterol alone does not tell the full story The difference between risk factors and actual disease How ApoB improves cardiovascular risk assessment Why lipoprotein(a) is genetic and should be tested at least once The limits of traditional stress testing How plaque forms in the arterial wall decades before symptoms Calcium scoring versus full cardiac CT imaging How AI is transforming plaque detection and measurement Whether arterial plaque can be slowed or reversed The real role of statins and other cholesterol-lowering tools Why you cannot out-train genetics The one scan adults over 40 should consider Quotes from This Episode Cholesterol floating in your bloodstream does not tell me if it is sticking. Risk is not disease. The first question should be: do you have plaque? Half of men and two-thirds of women, their first symptom of heart disease is a heart attack or death. The problem is not that we cannot treat plaque. The problem is that we are not looking for it early enough. Early detection for heart disease should be as routine as screening for cancer. In this episode of The Coach Debbie Potts Show, I sit down with Dr. John Osborne, cardiologist and founder of ClearCardio, to uncover what most people—and even many physicians—are missing when it comes to heart disease risk. We dive into why cardiovascular disease often progresses silently, especially in fit, high-performing adults who "do everything right." You'll learn why traditional markers like total cholesterol and LDL often fail to tell the full story—and how advanced imaging and deeper biomarkers can reveal risk years (or decades) earlier. This conversation is especially important for: • Endurance athletes • Midlife high performers • Men and women navigating hormonal shifts • Anyone with a family history of heart disease • Those frustrated by "your labs look fine" answers In this episode, we cover: • Why heart disease is often missed until it's too late • The difference between cholesterol numbers and plaque burden • What a coronary calcium scan actually shows—and who should consider one • How chronic stress, inflammation, hormones, and metabolic dysfunction impact the heart • Why fitness does NOT automatically equal cardiovascular protection • The role of insulin resistance, visceral fat, and vascular inflammation • How early detection changes outcomes—and saves lives We also connect the dots between metabolic health, nervous system regulation, inflammation, and cardiovascular resilience, aligning perfectly with The FLOW Foundation™ and The FutureYou Blueprint™ philosophy:

This week on Inspire Change, Gunter discusses resentment. Resentment is one of the most misunderstood and quietly destructive emotional experiences we carry. In this solo episode of Inspire Change with Gunter, Gunter explores resentment not as explosive anger, but as a slow, chronic emotional accumulation that can shape identity, distort perception, and quietly erode relationships and personal well-being.Through psychological insight, clinical observation, and deeply reflective guidance, Gunter breaks down how resentment forms, why it persists, and how it manifests mentally, emotionally, behaviorally, and even physically in the body. Most importantly, he offers a structured, compassionate roadmap for transforming resentment into clarity, agency, and emotional freedom. This episode invites listeners to examine where unresolved wounds may still be influencing their present lives — and how releasing resentment can become a powerful act of self-liberation.Key Themes & Discussion PointsUnderstanding Resentment Beyond AngerResentment as chronic, unresolved emotional buildupHow resentment often disguises itself as moral righteousness or principleThe connection between resentment and unexpressed truths, unmet needs, and unspoken boundariesThe Three Structural Components of ResentmentPerceived Injury – When expectations, trust, or fairness feel violatedInhibited Expression – When emotions cannot be safely or openly communicatedMoral Accounting – The internal ledger that tracks perceived imbalance in relationshipsHow Resentment Shapes Our Inner WorldThe mind's tendency to replay and reinforce grievance narrativesPolarization of perception that reduces people to their mistakesThe illusion of strength resentment can provide while quietly draining emotional resilienceBehavioral and Relational ManifestationsPassive resistance, sarcasm, withdrawal, and communication breakdownOver-functioning and people-pleasing patterns that create hidden emotional debtScorekeeping in relationships and how it erodes intimacy and connectionThe Physical and Somatic Impact of ResentmentChronic tension and stress responses stored in the bodyEmotional states that influence sleep, mood, and nervous system regulationUsing bodily awareness as an early indicator of unresolved resentmentThe Deeper Psychological and Existential EffectsHow resentment can distort worldview and identityThe role resentment plays in avoiding vulnerability, grief, and personal accountabilityWhy resentment can paradoxically maintain dysfunctional relationshipsMemorable Episode Insights“Resentment is anger that has nowhere to go, combined with the story that it shouldn't have happened."“Resentment is often a protest against helplessness — the psyche saying this mattered.”“Resentment is the guard dog at the gate of grief.”“When you track love like a spreadsheet, intimacy goes bankrupt.”“Letting go of resentment isn't about excusing the past — it's about releasing internal captivity.”Why This Conversation MattersResentment is one of the most common yet unspoken emotional burdens people carry. Left unaddressed, it can limit joy, restrict vulnerability, and shape how individuals relate to themselves and others. This episode encourages listeners to approach emotional healing with precision, accountability, and compassion, creating space for deeper connection, authenticity, and personal transformation.GratitudeHello to all our listeners, we thank you for tuning in and promoting positive social change. Guest: Lauren Osborne, M.D. Lauren Osborne, M.D., a reproductive psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine and vice chair for clinical research for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, discusses her research into the biological basis of postpartum depression. In a recent study, Dr. Osborne and her team were the first to analyze the entire metabolic pathway of progesterone, measuring both positive and negative allosteric modulators of the GABAA receptor throughout pregnancy and ultimately identifying a potential biomarker to predict risk. They are continuing to study and build upon these findings, with the goal of enabling better prediction and treatment options to address, or even prevent, postpartum depression. © 2026 NewYork-Presbyterian

In this episode, Gunter explores the concept of competence without compulsion, emphasizing the importance of separating one's self-worth from performance. He discusses how many men equate their competence with their identity, leading to a fear-driven existence. The conversation delves into the impact of this mindset on relationships, highlighting the need for emotional presence and connection rather than just problem-solving. Gunter offers practical advice for fostering intimacy and repairing relational ruptures, encouraging listeners to embrace vulnerability and prioritize emotional contact over mere competence. Takeaways Competence can become an identity, driven by fear. Many men feel they must prove their worth through competence. Resting can feel like exposure for those driven by performance. Love should not be a performance review. Competence without emotional contact leads to loneliness. Men often confuse fixing problems with showing love. The urge to fix can stem from a fear of helplessness. Repairing relationships requires acknowledging one's reflexes. Emotional presence is crucial in relationships. Competence should be a tool, not a shield. Sound bites "Competence is powered by fear." "Love is not a performance review." "Choose contact before competence."Weekly GratitudeHello to all our listeners, we thank YOU for tuning in and promoting positive social change. Episode: 00303 Released on January 26, 2026 Description: Debbie Osborne returns to Analyst Talk to break down something few analysts have attempted: using AI to help write and publish a professional book. Debbie breaks down how she built the book, from structuring the content and collaborating with generative AI to validating sources, avoiding plagiarism, and working through the editorial process for a second edition with an academic publisher. This conversation tackles the real questions analysts have about AI, including authorship, credibility, transparency, and trust. Debbie explains why AI did not replace her expertise, but expanded what was possible, allowing one analyst to build a comprehensive crime pattern resource that would normally require an entire team. If you are curious about using AI for serious analytical writing, research, or professional legacy projects, this episode is a must listen.

Dr. Osborne explains why taurine is conditionally essential, meaning your body can produce it, but you may need more during times of stress or illness. He also discusses how deficiencies in taurine can impact individuals with gluten sensitivity or celiac disease and the importance of animal-based protein in maintaining healthy taurine levels.Watch the full episode to learn how taurine can improve your metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, and overall well-being!

Have You Had Your Nutritional Levels Checked? One of the biggest delays in healing that some people face has to do with the deficiency of vitamins, minerals, and other dietary nutrients. Many doctors check their patients for iron deficiency, but fail to check other essential nutrients like vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, selenium, zinc, chromium, B-vitamins, etc. Failure to address nutritional deficiencies can lead to delayed healing and delayed response to a gluten free diet.On this week's episode of Dr. Osborne's Zone, we are going to be breaking down how to understand nutritional deficiencies in more detail, and more importantly, how to TEST so you don't have to GUESS! Remember that proper nutrition is the key to healing. If you are lacking any essential nutrients, your body will not be able to properly heal and your progress on a gluten free diet will be hindered. Text us a comment or question! If you've ever been told, “Your cholesterol looks normal - nothing to worry about,” this episode could save your life. Because the uncomfortable truth is this: a huge percentage of heart attacks happen to people who were told their numbers were “fine.” No warning signs. No symptoms. Just a moment that changes everything. In this episode of The Over 50 Health & Wellness Show, Kevin English sits down with world-class preventive cardiologist Dr. John Osborne to unpack why traditional cholesterol tests often miss the real danger - and what men and women over 50 need to know if they want to stay strong, active, and fully engaged in life. Dr. Osborne is one of fewer than 50 physicians in the U.S. triple board-certified in cardiology, hypertension, and lipidology. He's Harvard-trained, nationally recognized, and has personally interpreted 25,000+ advanced heart scans, proving that heart disease is not random—it's predictable, preventable, and often reversible. This is a must-listen episode if you're over 50, feel “pretty healthy,” and want to make sure you're not unknowingly sitting on a ticking time bomb. In This Episode, You'll Learn:Why “normal” cholesterol numbers can still hide serious heart diseaseThe critical difference between cholesterol levels and arterial plaqueWhy stress tests and basic blood work often miss early heart diseaseWhat Dr. Osborne calls the “cardiac colonoscopy” - and why it mattersHow heart disease quietly develops 20–30 years before a heart attackWhy fit, active adults over 50 can still be at riskWhat proactive, prevention-first heart care actually looks likeThe steps you can take now to protect your health, longevity, and legacy If your goal is to lose fat, build muscle, stay energetic, and participate fully in life for decades to come, your heart health matters more than ever. This conversation challenges outdated assumptions, empowers you with better questions to ask your doctor, and gives you clarity on what *real* prevention looks like - without fear-mongering or hype. If you're too young to feel this old - and too smart to rely on outdated advice - this episode is for you.

What accommodations should a person ask for? How can you have a strong relationship with one (or more) ADHD brains? What if your boyfriend juggles flaming swords for fun? Sure there are tips and tricks, but get ready for the pep talk and self-acceptance honestly everyone needs to hear. Plus: two cameos from past Ologists: Dr. Tiara Moore (Forensic Ecology) and Dr. Adam Becker (Quantum Ontology). Oh, and how this relates to Alie's own Dadbrain.
