Future episodes will cover these details more specifically, but we wanted to lay down a general framework first to give y'all a sense of what you're working with. In this episode of the Lit to Lift podcast, Matty and Claudia sit down to discuss overtraining syndrome (OTS) and nonfunctional overreaching. We cover the differences between the two conditions, signs and symptoms of OTS and nonfunctional overreaching, and practical ways to prevent OTS and nonfunctional overreaching. If it's not clear in the podcast, we want to point out that most people are not overtraining and, in fact, most people should be training more. However, there are some individuals that push themselves to the extreme and can cause serious damage to themselves. So, even if you aren't overtraining, hopefully you can learn about this issue and pass this information to someone who might need it. Claudia Helmick (M.S.
