I think more than 90% of the time the day to day grind is mundane as shit, BUT it is also where 90% of the results come from. Sexy in this episode relates to being attractive while also exciting. You can call it the grind, the hustle, or the process, no matter what you call it, we often times convinced that it's supposed to hold your excitement and motivation but the reality is the day to day effort that is required for long term success can be mundane and boring. It's often after you lose that initial excitement that you find out how invested you truly are. So reset your expectations and know that it's once the motivation and excitement fades that you will need to show what you're made of. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/heidi-vega/support

Knowing yourself, truly knowing yourself, provides the groundwork to make short term and long term goals that makes sense for you. You can’t deny who you are and think you can build trust and habits. This is the start to a series I am doing this month, the focus being on creating a more resilient mindset and learning to trust yourself. Validation seeking is much more prevalent, most likely due to social media but caring how others feel about you is natural. Yet, when what others think about you is ALL you focus on and care about, it can lead you to live an empty life that seems never enough. It's that season again, people either feel a sense of loneliness or togetherness due to the holidays and change in weather. To be honest, it can happen at any time, and anywhere that you start feeling a sense of loneliness. I am not a psychiatrist or a therapist but I am a fellow human being who has noticed a few things about being lonely. One of them is it's hard to fine people you truly feel that understand you if you don't understand yourself. Some of us can more readily discover who we are in social settings but some of us can't. I think we must remember that being alone and feeling lonely don't always go hand in hand. Some people call it nosey but truthfully I think it's only natural to want to explore the different aspects of someones life who you admire.
