Hear from Apostolic Elder, Dick Dungan, as he shares a word from 2 Peter 1 and Matthew 5 about how we are to grow as followers of Christ Jesus.Speaker: Dick DunganCopyright 2026 - Freedom Life Fellowship Mid-Cities

If we aren't paying attention to the fact that God has given us precious promises which He intended us to live from, we will not experience His lovingkindness, His goodness and His faithfulness the way He intended for us.

One of the special gifts that God gives each person is the gift of a conscience. Having a good conscience is critical in the life of a Christ follower. Bad things happen when the gift of the conscience gets messed up.

We are supposed to be geared to the times but anchored to the Rock, our Lord Jesus. We need to understand what He is doing so we can cooperate and receive it. God has great blessings and victory for us. Will we perceive it? Will we receive it?

Guest pastor, Ben Gerald, delivers a message about what it means to have the favor of the Lord.

The power of faith is saying YES to God! There is power in your words; the power of life and death are in the power of the tongue. "Let it be according to Your word." This is how God wants all of us to respond to Him.

Because God sent His Holy Spirit to indwell us, we have authority to push back darkness with the light of His truth and enforce the victory won on the cross! As a believer in Christ, you have authority over the enemy!

Looking forward with eager expectation and an awakened anticipation. Pastor D shares a message from 2 Peter 3.

Because our Lord's blood has been shed on the mercy seat, we can come boldly into His presence without any sense of inferiority or shame, and receive His favor, His supply, His protection, and His help in time of need!

A "blood pressure" check of our soul goes like this, "Is my heart troubled?" Remember Jesus said, don't let your heart be troubled; to be troubled is NOT His Word, will, or way for you. Please understand; stress is not from God. Peace is from Jesus!

For the Christ follower, perhaps no greater example of God's mercy can be found than when He had compassion on us while we were still lost and separated from God. But, it gets better.

Can we as Christ followers have a real expectation of how the Lord will act toward us? How will He treat us and respond to us as we relate to Him on a personal level?

If one of the ways that God shows His love for us is through His desire to provide for all of our needs, what prevents us from experiencing that reality in the moment by moment of our lives?

Did you know it is entirely possible to go through your lifetime acknowledging the fact that God is a good Father and yet still struggle to know Him personally as a loving Father?

The only way that we will comprehend the true love of God that lives in us is to have the Holy Spirit continually give us revelation to settle the issue of His love for us.

We want God to help us understand and experience true love — which is His love — so that we will be complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

When you are enjoying grace – unmerited love and blessings of a great Father / Shepherd – you are free to enjoy the many benefits of His love life relationship because you know they are undeserved! God desires for you to be enriched in this abundant life that Jesus paid for!

Your loving, heavenly Father wants you rooted, established and anchored in His unwavering love for you. He demonstrated His love for you when He sent Jesus to become your sin on the cross so that you can become His righteousness.

Wilderness experiences are times where the believer is led by the Spirit of God into times of discomfort and trials. The gift of the wilderness is important because it is where we reach the end of self and find dependency on God alone.

God is not afraid to keep you needy because it has always been His plan to meet every one of your physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The enemy uses self-centered rebellion as a trap to get us to try and meet our needs ourselves instead of relying on our great Heavenly Father.

The enemy wants you to agree with his lie that this feeling of fear means that you are in big trouble and no one is coming to help you! God wants us to respond to feelings of fear by taking courage and trusting Him to come through.

Being near to the heart of God helps us to have real, tangible confidence that God is everything His Word promises us. The enemy wants us to feel trapped and isolated in our sin. But God wants to be near to us, and all we need to do is turn and repent. He is right there waiting with open arms.

We sometimes feel like we're failing in our Christian life when we don't understand everything God is doing. But God knows we can never fully comprehend His plans, so He wants us to learn to lean into our relationship with Him and let Him lead us.

Perhaps nothing wounds the human heart like the pain of rejection. It has a unique way of grieving our souls at a deep level. Discover how to live free of rejection through the love and acceptance of the Father.

God is always present; He is not limited by time or space. If God is for me, it doesn't matter and I don't care who is against me. Faith vs. fear, worry vs. trust... The difference between faith and fear depends on what channel you are watching or listening to.

Do you know that when God blessed you, no one can reverse it? You are irreversibly blessed! No matter how dire your circumstances may seem right now, put a smile on your face, thanksgiving in your mouth, praise in your heart, stand on it with both feet – whom the Lord has blessed, no one can curse. Nothing can separate you from His love!

If you are struggling with sin, guilt, shame, and blame, it is vital that you change glasses from law to grace. Start seeing God as your loving Father, not your Judge. Jesus' finished works on the cross made you righteous apart from your works... He has forgiven you and made you complete in Him. His love and grace – unmerited favor – will cause you to overcome!

The response of our Great Shepherd to a lost sheep is to lift you up and put you on His shoulders. The sheep receives the closeness, comfort, peace and strength of the Great Shepherd.

Comparison is a dangerous trap designed by the enemy to keep us feeling prideful, envious, frustrated, and hopeless. God's desire is to give us contentment through an understanding of our identity in Christ and His love and acceptance.

We have a real enemy that uses accusation to try and keep us from trusting in the love of Father God. God will provide discernment to us when we ask so we can distinguish His voice of truth from the lies of our accuser.

The trap of overindulgence is designed to get us to take any tangible gift which God has given and overemphasize it; the enemy wants you to make the gift your god. The Father wants you to enjoy all of the good gifts He gives you, as well as having all the moderation you need to enjoy them and not let them have mastery over you.

Envy is a dangerous trap of the enemy that can eat away at our spiritual health. God wants us to lean into Him for contentment, peace and joy rather than coveting what others have that we think will meet our need.

Self-pity wants to draw comfort, value and help from others instead of going to Father God for these things. You can choose to follow Jesus out of a life of slavery to self-pity and into the freedom of reliance on God.

We can't live redemptively without a heart filled with love and compassion. Apostolic elder, Dick Dungan, shares a message about the power of redemption. We also set in place our new youth pastors in James and Cara Allen, and our new children's pastors, Tim and Tawnya Green. Hallelujah!

Special guest speaker, Kerrie Oles, delivers a beautiful message of healing and transformation with "The Battle, the Breakthrough, the Becoming."

Unforgiveness is a snare the enemy is using to keep many Christ followers from living out their joyful purpose. We are meant to live free and then bring freedom to others that are bound up in sin.

When God looks at you today, He doesn't judge or measure you according to your imperfections. He sees you in the beloved. He sees you in Christ. And, He sees the blood that has been shed for you by His dear Son.

The cross and empty grave represents our victory in this life and all eternity. The cross and resurrection are Father's yes and amen to all of His promises for you!

If we are going to live like Christ, then we have to learn how to live dependently on God for everything. Faith in the sufficiency of Christ in all things and choosing to live dependently on Him in every way is the key to living free and walking in the abundant life He promised.

Choosing to participate in God's plan of practical sanctification is how we find freedom from sin, achieve our God given purpose and feel alive in Christ.

The only power sin has over you, is the power you give it. As a new creation, you are designed by God to live united with Christ and under the control of the Holy Spirit.

Love is a central, unchanging divine aspect of God's character and nature. His thoughts and actions are based in love and His love cannot fail. This is what we bring with us into the place of ministering to others that find themselves in a "mess."

Even if the church is full of "messy people," we are still "Better Together." Catch part 2 of the series now!
