Married couple, Jackson & Lo Sheffield, talk all things parenting, marriage, pop culture, and anything else they feel like pulling “off the shelf.” Listen in to these parents of 3 under 3 for unsolicited opinions, slightly helpful tips, and lots of laughs!
After a long and difficult couple weeks (listen to why at the beginning of our episode for our highs and lows) we decided to have some fun and go down memory lane! Lo tried to guess the song from hits that were released 10 years ago. Then we covered some songs you may have forgotten existed. I'm apologizing now for our singing throughout this episode, but we had so much fun!
Just a quick catchup this week as our highs and lows last much longer than expected as we talk about our trip to DC and Lo's half marathon! We also answer a very important question that has to do with the FBI and a paperclip. It's actullay not important at all, haha. Thanks for listening!
We just got back from an awesome vacation going on a Disney cruise ship with our three boys. Tune in to hear about how much fun we had but also why Jackson went through some regrets during the middle of the trip. We also share some of our favorite songs at the moment during this weeks "what's on your shelf?"
Kids....the reason for the best of times and the worst of times. Let's talk about it! Beware: we get pretty passionate about this. Correction: JACKSON gets really passionate about this (and TikTok...) But what do you expect? Haha Tune in this week for a fun episode and some good discussion!
Jackson opens up about some of the struggles he has been having staying at home with the kids full time. To all you stay at home parents out there, you are amazing!! We also play a quick game of "the wedding shoe game." And if you don't know what that is, then tune in to find out! We also try to solve the biggest mysteries from pop culture the past couple weeks.
This episode is a little more serious than most of our previous episodes. We decided to open up about some serious harassment that we dealt with a couple months ago. It was scary, frustrating, and lonely and we just wanted to share the story and our thoughts during it all. Also we wanted to take our power back in a way by sharing it with people and also feel others' love and support in a difficult time. Hopefully it helps you as well. We are so thankful for you and for those that have reached out! We love you. But don't worry, we still have lots of fun this episode! ;)
We catch you up on the craziest news from the past couple weeks. Including the movie The Blind Side, mics being thrown at fans, and of course Queen Taylor. We also catch you up on our past few weeks, which Lo might have one of the worst lows in podcast history!
We brought back a favorite: DRAFTS! We each take a turn to construct the best "team" in a certain category and you guys vote for your favorites. Check out our Instagram to vote and to see who wins. You can also listen to this episode if you want to hear how our week went. :)
We are alive! After an unexpected few weeks of us being MIA, we catch you up on whats been keeping us busy. We also tell you what has been keeping celebrities busy these past few weeks, including which celeb had their boyfriend publicly call them out for modesty. And boy do we have some thoughts on that! We also do a little segment on common white people sayings. Play along!
For Lo's 30th Jackson surprised her with a quick trip to her favorite city, New York!! But in typical fashion it didn't happen without some hurdles. Tune in to hear about the trip and also hear some deep wisdom from Lo now that she is 30! Also we talk about the submersible that happened this past week because honestly, who isn't??
We have a crazy story for you this episode that unfortunately ended up being both of our "lows" for the week. Basically people can be freaking rude sometimes and we just share our thoughts on why people can't just seem to be kind these days. After trying to solve the world's problems, we answer a couple questions from you our listeners! Topics include how to get into a regular exercise routine and dealing with conflicts when it comes to parenting different from your sibling. Its a good one!
Thank you everyone for the feedback from last episode and we have already applied what we learned. AKA: shorter episodes and no "Lights, Camera, Jackson!" (RIP) But honestly it hasn't changed that much and so make sure to tune in to hear all thats going on in our lives. Including the surprise that we are getting a new addition to our family very soon!! All advice welcome. Please!
Y'all! We need your help! We loved recording a podcast each week (well almost each week) but we are feeling a little uninspired and want your feedback! Listen to this episode to understand a little more where we are coming from, but email us at offthesheff@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram @offthesheff to let us know what you like or dislike about Off the Sheff. We really want to know what you like and what plans we can make moving forward. Much love!
After last weeks episode we decided to do a whole podcast on finance and money tips. Like the title says, we are nobodies! This is just our experience and knowledge. Please get real advice from people that actually know what you are talking about! Haha But stick around and listen because it starts getting a little unhinged at the end of this episode. We are equal parts sorry and your welcome for what you are about to hear.
I promise we don't talk about sweet crackers this whole episode, just the first couple minutes. We actually answer some random questions you asked us such as financial plans we follow, house projects, and if we want to have a fourth kid or not. It's a fun one! Also we obviously bring you all the Taylor Swift news including her yelling at a security guard in the middle of her concert as well as her new boo thang. So tune in to get up to date!
This episode we review the “12 Questions You Must Know About Your Significant Other Before Getting Married!” and share if our two cents about it all. Listen in to also hear about Jackson's 30th birthday party last week as well as some of the presents he got. And we have a quick pop culture roundup for this past week. Thanks for listening!
Lets catch up you on our lives as well as our opinions on random world events that happened the past few weeks! From Taylor breaking up with her long time boo, or getting in on the debate of who is required to pick up food your children drop, there really were some big stories and unique happenings that we felt like it was super important you got our thoughts on. Haha! Also we do a quick OBX recap at the end of the episode with a passionate Jackson and a half-asleep Lo. Enjoy!
We had so much to cover this episode including a HUGE life change for our family that happened this past week! Make sure to listen to get the good news! But we also talked about our trip to Las Vegas last weekend to see the one and only T-Swift at The Eras Tour! Based on the length of this episode you can begin to imagine how amazing it was and how we literally can't stop talking about it. We also go over the whole trip in general because we had some fun stories taking our three little boys to the Vegas Strip. Listen all the way to the end to also hear about some new music that we can't stop listening to!
Part 2 of our mission stories series and this week it's Jackson's turn as he talks about his experience in Vina del Mar, Chile. He loved remembering that special time with the Chilean people and some of the good food and culture he experienced during the two years as a missionary for the LDS Church. A couple of the stories Lo hadn't even heard before, so make sure to tune in! We also start this episode out by trying a new food trend and deciding if it is actually any good. Finally, make sure to tune in for your biweekly catch up of pop culture!
This is part one of our two episode series about our LDS church missions. We first covered Lo's mission in Birmingham, England! It was awesome to hear some funny stories about Britain and their culture as well as some more personal and spiritual stories that Lo experienced while across the pond. These episodes are important to us and ones we can't wait to share with our future family years from now, but we hope you also enjoy it too. Also, don't worry, we still make sure to also catch you up on all the crazy happenings from this past week or two in pop culture!
We dug up our past in this episode as we asked each other about whats going on with some of our past Instagram posts. Honestly, it is not as juicy as it sounds. Haha but we did have some fun stories to share! Then we share our thoughts on the Super Bowl and Rihanna's Halftime, as well as Barney's facelift. But don't forget to hear what is on our shelf this week (like we almost forgot!) because they are some good ones.
This week we asked you all what makes you feel old! We got some great answers and honestly just loved that we aren't alone. We also chat about our highs and lows of the week including losing jobs and seeing our idols in concert. Pop culture was also bumpin' these past couple weeks, so make sure to tune in to hear whats going on!
Honestly, not sure what to call this episode...but basically we just really leave it all out there for you all. So many different topics were covered this week including some big happenings in pop culture from the past couple weeks. Rumored relationships, shade being thrown, and of course all the drama of Prince Harry's new book. And BOY do we both have thoughts! But we also debate when a guy is ready to get married, words that inherently sound condescending, and also how to help a spouse that is going through a hard time. Seriously is it all over the place! So....I guess check it out! Haha
It's great to be back after a busy but amazing holiday break! At the end of 2021 we did our first ever year end review on the podcast. Then we share our thoughts on this past year and then some resolutions for 2023. We also catch you up on the pop culture news that happened over the holidays (unfortunately a lot of it is sad news - but I promise we end it on a high!) And make sure to listen to the end to hear about some crazy stories we are into right now.
This episode is packed full with holiday cheer, competitive spirit, and great stories! We talk about Jackson's ER visit that effected the whole family. As well as whats going on in Hollywood and some of our hot takes on certain trending topics. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Definitely some good thoughts came out of it and please send us your additional thoughts because we love learning and getting new insight on life! But the first half of this episode still includes some crazy celeb drama, personality riddles, and of course our excitement for the one and only Taylor Swift after she shattered streaming records this past week with the release of her new album Midnights.
