Off the Sheff

After a long and difficult couple weeks (listen to why at the beginning of our episode for our highs and lows) we decided to have some fun and go down memory lane! Lo tried to guess the song from hits that were released 10 years ago. Then we covered some songs you may have forgotten existed. I'm apologizing now for our singing throughout this episode, but we had so much fun!

Just a quick catchup this week as our highs and lows last much longer than expected as we talk about our trip to DC and Lo's half marathon! We also answer a very important question that has to do with the FBI and a paperclip. It's actullay not important at all, haha. Thanks for listening!

We just got back from an awesome vacation going on a Disney cruise ship with our three boys. Tune in to hear about how much fun we had but also why Jackson went through some regrets during the middle of the trip. This episode is a little more serious than most of our previous episodes. We decided to open up about some serious harassment that we dealt with a couple months ago. It was scary, frustrating, and lonely and we just wanted to share the story and our thoughts during it all. Also we wanted to take our power back in a way by sharing it with people and also feel others' love and support in a difficult time. Hopefully it helps you as well. For Lo's 30th Jackson surprised her with a quick trip to her favorite city, New York!! But in typical fashion it didn't happen without some hurdles. Tune in to hear about the trip and also hear some deep wisdom from Lo now that she is 30! Also we talk about the submersible that happened this past week because honestly, who isn't??

We have a crazy story for you this episode that unfortunately ended up being both of our "lows" for the week. Basically people can be freaking rude sometimes and we just share our thoughts on why people can't just seem to be kind these days. After trying to solve the world's problems, we answer a couple questions from you our listeners! Topics include how to get into a regular exercise routine and dealing with conflicts when it comes to parenting different from your sibling. Its a good one!

After last weeks episode we decided to do a whole podcast on finance and money tips. Like the title says, we are nobodies! This is just our experience and knowledge. We had so much to cover this episode including a HUGE life change for our family that happened this past week! Make sure to listen to get the good news! Part 2 of our mission stories series and this week it's Jackson's turn as he talks about his experience in Vina del Mar, Chile. He loved remembering that special time with the Chilean people and some of the good food and culture he experienced during the two years as a missionary for the LDS Church. A couple of the stories Lo hadn't even heard before, so make sure to tune in! We also start this episode out by trying a new food trend and deciding if it is actually any good. Honestly, not sure what to call this episode...but basically we just really leave it all out there for you all. It's great to be back after a busy but amazing holiday break! At the end of 2021 we did our first ever year end review on the podcast. Well, we decided to make it a tradition by reviewing those thoughts and goals we had at the beginning of last year to see how we did in 2022. Then we share our thoughts on this past year and then some resolutions for 2023. We also catch you up on the pop culture news that happened over the holidays (unfortunately a lot of it is sad news - but I promise we end it on a high!)
