This episode is just me, giving a solo recap on how my season went in Oregon. My success doesn't reflect how much I struggled this year with a rifle tag in my pocket. 

In this episode, I recap how the Idaho Muledeer hunt went. Short Story, I got my butt kicked, again! I know it sounds corny, but I did learn a lot about myself on this hunt. When you have hours of time spent behind glass or just trying to stay warm. That's time spent inside my own head thinking and reflecting.  As weird as that may sound I want to expose to myself my weaknesses mentally and physically so I can become a better person and hunter. Idaho seems to do a good job of that. 

Well, this will be a new style of episode where it's just me talking about the hunts I've been on this year. I'll give a recap of what happened and how everything went. The ups the downs and everything in between. I hope you enjoy!

The title says it all; 3 hunters were hunting elk in Oregon when they find themselves hunting the same herd as wolves. It quickly became apparent that the wolves had changed their focus onto the hunters after the herd had spooked off.  As daylight faded the hunters face a pack of wolves that had them surrounded. This is their audio file after they made it back to the truck. 

In this episode, Brad Powell and I talk about the bull that he killed solo on the Oregon Coast. There's a lot to learn from these encounters and we dive into some tactics to find some success in the coastal jungle.

Well, the title says it all. The morning was full of weird situations and made for an unforgettable experience. From hunting a bull that was being pursued by other hunters at the same time, to being charged by a cougar to then having a surprise packing party show up. What a morning in the woods!
