The Super Wild Card weekend is coming up fast, and after last year's "Back on the Zane Gang" episode, Greg and Robbie couldn't pass up the opportunity for another playoff preview. First, they say their goodbyes to the teams we won't be seeing again until September, and then they dive deep into this pool of 14 playoff teams. They even offer up a new rule proposal for Commissioner Goodell, based one disgruntled individual's feelings about a certain playoff team. Going for what they called the best and worst idea ever, Greg and Robbie decided to record an unscripted podcast on their way back from Los Angeles, CA. In this episode, Greg and Robbie put aside a lot of their usual banter (sort of) to speak with their amazing guest, Phoebe Schecter. From moving to the UK to work with horses to playing in a girls American football league, moving back to the US, and serving as a coaching intern for the Buffalo Bills, Schecter has seen it all and has a one-of-a-kind story. More recently, she took part in the first ever girls high school flag football league, which was sponsored by the New York Jets and Nike. Currently, she is back in Germany coaching for the Potsdam Royals, who are in the midst of their first playoff appearance. So what's next in the epic journey of Phoebe Schecter? As a part of his weekly show for KCSB-FM 91.9 in Santa Barbara, CA, Greg had the privilege of speaking with Mia Mastrov, an incoming freshman (received another year of NCAA eligibility due to COVID) for the California Golden Bears women's basketball program. Having grown up in a very Cal-heavy household, this is Greg's golden opportunity to impress family members from three different generations. This is something Mia Mastrov knows all too well, as her grandfather, Bert, played for the Golden Bears back in the 1950s.
