Wow, they finally did it.The Knicks have made the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years. To think I was messing around in kindergarten, with no real knowledge of this organization whatsoever at the time, only to join the bandwagon about 13 years later. Now is not the time for celebrating, though. It's game time, and we have to treat this as if we're entering the series down 0-3.Fiverr. is full of opportunities for those seeking to show off their skills and those in search of help with a task they just can't complete themselves. First and foremost, I'm not mad at the Knicks for not pursuing Damian Lillard. But in the wake of his being traded, the team has surfaced as a group connected to some other ensuing deals, i.e., getting Jrue Holiday. But it doesn't stop there. While the 76ers crumble under the pressure of James Harden, Knicks' fans desire to get Joel Embiid has come back to the foreground. Mitchell Robinson has been valued at two first-round picks at least, which has sparked a bit of curiosity, given the timing of the report. The New York Knicks got bounced in the second round of the 2023 Playoffs and only have Donte DiVincenzo to show for it this summer (so far). Other members of the blue and orange have seen themselves sent on their way, so the fanbase has begun to wonder about the direction we're headed. Meanwhile, the NBA is changing, and we delve into those subjects here. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ramblesfromthegarden/support
This season was a success. The New York Knicks advanced to the second round and lost in six games to a Miami Heat team that is clearly built to withstand even the hardest of tests. The Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors were also bounced in the second round, so now Rob, Nick, and Carlos look ahead to what could be next season. We get to take a deep breath this All-Star Break, as the New York Knicks enter the weekend with their best record (33-27) in 10 years. Post-Trade Deadline, the Knicks are 3-1, and 3-0 when Josh Hart takes the floor. Jalen Brunson is averaging 32 points per game for the month of February, and Mitchell Robinson's return is on the horizon. The outlier: RJ Barrett. His presence has been a net negative and, rightfully so in my opinion, has been hearing it from the fans. Can he turn things around? Additionally, Julius Randle continues to prosper and gets in on some of the fun as a 3PT contest participant and All-Star... and he also does some recruiting? Plenty more on the docket as well. The New York Knicks make an exciting comeback, take a three-point lead, and let up a Nic Batum three-pointer to force overtime. The Clippers go on to win. New York's bench played an instrumental part in this game, but the transgressions of RJ Barrett could end up being the ultimate factor of destruction in this contest. He has to step up big time to redeem himself, and the fans sure hope he does. Ahead of tonight's matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Knicks are 28-26 and slowly descending into dangerous play-in territory. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robert-brunswick-iii/support
Since our last recording, the New York Knicks have climbed the standings to 28-25 in the Eastern Conference on the backs of All-Star, Julius Randle, and All-Star snub, Jalen Brunson. Tom Thibodeau's job is safe for now, but there's still growing concern with his tenure here despite being the 9th coach to win 100+ games in the franchise's history. Brought to you by @AnchorFM , we discuss the Knicks' future for the 2022-23 season, along with some fun trade deadline talks. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robert-brunswick-iii/support
Nick and Rob catch up after a somewhat quiet summer in Knicks Nation. Aside from the obvious, i.e., RJ's extension, the Brunson acquisition, and Randle's troubles, not much has come out of New York's camp. With preseason upon us, it was time to kick things back into gear. Topics: Brunson's value to this team RJ's expected growth after a summer of hard work Randle being on the hot seat A fun bit of prediction awaits you at the end of the episode! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robert-brunswick-iii/support
Happy 4th of July to everyone, and like the fireworks this weekend, I'm hoping free agency ends with a bang the next couple of days. In the wake of the Jalen Brunson signing, Isaiah Hartenstein and Mitchell Robinson got some checks written up for them as well, and the Knicks are on the way to (hopefully) showing signs of life to start next season. Meanwhile, the Nets collapse and Knicks fans are relishing in that experience. Following a draft night trade that would see us sending out our 11th overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder, calamity struck and the fanbase almost turned on the front office (for the millionth time in a row). But not everyone was ready to give up. With cap space cleared, the Knicks' pursuit of Jalen Brunson looked all the more certain, and so it seems we may have a Brunson Burner in our possession soon enough. The Knicks took everyone by surprise with the Kemba Walker signing, but they knew what they were doing. Ridding the team of the toxicity at point guard and building on an otherwise lacking backcourt group makes for a healthier offense and a better environment for the staples of the franchise.
