Tim Conway Jr. Show Hour 2 (7.2) Loaded show today. We're joined by former LASD Bomb Squad's Johnny Hanson to break down the massive federal crackdown rocking the NBA — prosecutors have unsealed indictments in an overlapping game-fixing and illegal betting scheme involving active players, former players like Malik Beasley and Ed Davis, an agent, a head coach, and organized crime. The feds are calling it the sports world's version of an insider trading saga. Johnny sticks around to talk cheating across ALL sports — from the billions flowing through World Cup soccer betting to how the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL stack up on handle, spreads, and player props. It's a wild look at just how much money is really on the line. Then we lighten it up: why Petros Papadakis of 'Petros & Money' makes P sick, the Foosh's birthday, the legendary 'Green Ghost' Steve Garvey cruise story, P's best Vic the Brick impression, and a Kahlúa nightcap with Kathie Lee. We close with Petros on the Dodgers' winning formula and why Dave Roberts keeps this team firing on all cylinders.

Live on this week's Circle Back, the crew breaks down one of the biggest cross-sport news days of the year. The United States have advanced in the FIFA World Cup, but the win is overshadowed after a controversial red card to Florian Balogun that will now see him miss a massive matchup against Belgium. The panel discusses what the decision means on the field — and what it could mean for the betting markets moving forward. The biggest story of the day comes out of the NBA, where Malik Beasley has been indicted on federal charges tied to an alleged sports betting scheme involving point shaving and prop bets, with reports indicating a voluntary surrender is being coordinated this week. The conversation digs into what this means for the league, the integrity of sports betting, and why this case could have ripple effects well beyond one player. Later, the crew reacts to Jordan Spieth's comments on betting in golf, and the perceived contradiction between his public stance and his partnership history in the space. Hosted by Jacob Gramegna on Circle Back, part of Circles Off on The Hammer Betting Network, joined this week by Thon Misser, Joey Knish, and Isaac Rose-Berman. Circle Back goes live every Thursday at 4 PM ET breaking down sports betting news, industry drama, and the biggest stories across sports.

After more social media jabs over the Manziel-Sanders stats debate, Lima pitches a genuinely bizarre solution to the sports gambling problem: let athletes bet on themselves as long as every wager is made fully public, comparing it to tracking congressional stock trades. Ken immediately pokes holes in the idea, pushing Lima on bet minimums, maximums, and whether prop bets like Shedeur's passing yards or Malik Beasley's rebounds would just turn players into walking incentive structures. The segment turns into an increasingly absurd back-and-forth, complete with jokes about a shadowy "Big Golf" conspiracy, before Ken shuts the idea down as a bad precedent that would make fans question the integrity of every game.

On this episode of Conduct Detrimental: THE Sports Law Podcast, Dan Lust (@SportsLawLust) and Mike Kravchenko (Watch on YouTube) are back after a three-month hiatus — with stories spanning college sports' future, an expanding NBA gambling probe, an NFL kidnapping case, and one of the biggest sports-media stories in years. After catching up on the time away — and a plan to bring back long-form guest interviews — Dan and Mike open with the Brendan Sorsby saga, the most consequential college-sports story of the offseason. They trace the whole arc: Sorsby's roughly $90,000 in bets (including on his own Indiana team), the NCAA's permanent ineligibility ruling, Jeffrey Kessler's state-court injunction in Lubbock, the Big 12's federal suit to preserve its right to punish Texas Tech, and the NFL's decision not to hold a supplemental draft at all — leaving Sorsby out of football for 2026 on every front. Dan explains why this was nearly a "watershed moment" for state-versus-federal court chaos, and the "home court advantage" problem of athletes shopping NCAA disputes to friendly local judges. From there, the duo zooms out to the bigger college-sports picture: the NCAA's new age-based eligibility model, adopted June 23 — five seasons in five years, with the clock starting at enrollment or the year after an athlete turns 19. Dan and Mike break down the wave of challenges already filed (including Campbell v. NCAA and 50-plus basketball players from the 2022 class), and how the Protect College Sports Act and a Trump executive order fit into a five-year NIL era that still has no federal law.Dan and Mike then turn to the gambling and pro-sports bucket, with Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold, charged in Florida with armed robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy.Followed by Malik Beasley, indicted in the Eastern District of New York on four counts alongside Ed Davis. Dan and Mike get into the point-shaving theory, the unsealed text messages, why a $60M-career player joining Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups makes this so alarming, and how this is now a federal case the NBA can't sweep away. The episode closes with the Dianna Russini story. With The Athletic's investigation looming and a new New York Times piece reigniting it, Dan walks through the Mike Vrabel reporting, the dual denials, and the defamation lawsuit that — tellingly — neither party ever filed. Dan and Mike turn it into a broader ethics conversation about honesty, owning mistakes, and what it means that Russini referred to herself as a "former journalist." Plus, in "What to Watch For," Mike flags the MLBPA's proposed prop-bet ban as the most important betting story of the back half of the year — and Dan shares a (very on-brand) World Cup story from the home front.Let us know your thoughts!***Have a topic you want to write about? So hot. Just awful out there. Even at 1am this morning…it was like a furnace blast when I opened the door and stepped outside. Cooling off a bit after today with more rain & thunderstorms on the way. In the news this mornings, a recall on heart & kidney meds, a dead baby was found in a porta potty at a music festival, Daveigh Chase's cause of death is revealed In sports, the Brewers got a nice come-from-behind win over the Reds last night, Team USA takes on Bosnia tomorrow night, Ja Morant gets traded to the Trailblazers, former NFL running back Chris Johnson reveals his ALS diagnosis, the Lions release Terrion Arnold, Malik Beasley gets indicted on federal gambling charges, and Viktor Hovland won the playoff against Scottie Scheffler yesterday morning. We talked about what's on TV & streaming today/tonight and let you know what's new on New Release Tuesday. Plus, Jason Segel is talking about a "Dracula puppet" movie based on his character in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". And Noah Kahan had a nasty situation at a recent show that's going viral. Cool story about a school resource officer who rented out an entire movie theater to treat more than 100 kids, and a 7 year-old boy saves his younger brother from drowning. Grant Bilse from the Wisco Sports Show joined us a bit early today and talked about the Brewers weekend against the Cubs We had some 4th of July stuff as we get ready for the holiday this weekend…including a list of TV shows that define the American experience, and apparently people are upset that brands aren't selling more patriotic things for America's 250th. Tomorrow begins a new month…National Ice Cream Month to be precise…so we took a look at America's favorite flavors. Elsewhere in sports, some World Cup stories, including Freddy the German sticking around even though his country is now eliminated from the tournament, and an Argentina fan loses his wallet…but other fans help reunite him with his property. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a trio of moms in Texas who left their children locked in a bedroom so they could go out and get hammered, a fireworks explosion caused by a cigarette, there's apparently people out there who are paying top dollar to be buried next to their favorite celebrities, & a guy in Scotland who refuses to perform his community service without his emotional support lizard.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On this episode of Little Column A, Little Column B, hosts Will Alimonos and Zach Bishop kick things off with one of the strangest stories of the summer—a man climbing into a septic tank to retrieve a pair of prescription sunglasses—before diving headfirst into one of the wildest NBA offseasons in recent memory. The conversation centers on blockbuster trades and league-shaking roster moves. Will and Zach break down Charlotte's decision to reset the franchise, including LaMelo Ball's move to Minnesota, the Miles Bridges trade, and what the Hornets' new direction means moving forward. They discuss how LaMelo fits alongside Anthony Edwards and whether the Timberwolves have finally assembled a true contender. The hosts then examine Memphis' decision to move on from Ja Morant, Portland's new-look roster, and whether the Grizzlies successfully accelerated their rebuild. Milwaukee's stunning decision to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami also takes center stage, with Will and Zach debating whether the Heat have emerged as the team to beat in the East and whether the Bucks received enough value in return. Draft night analysis follows, including reactions to Cameron Boozer, Oklahoma City's and San Antonio's selections, surprising team strategies, and which franchises reached or found value. The discussion expands into LeBron James speculation, Anthony Davis rumors, Boston's long-term outlook, Jalen Brown trade chatter, and whether the Celtics should remain patient or make another major move. The episode closes with thoughts on Kawhi Leonard's uncertain market, Malik Beasley's gambling indictment, NFL offseason legal news, and a quick roundup of the latest World Cup action and VAR controversies. As always, expect strong opinions, roster-building debates, draft analysis, trade reactions, and plenty of back-and-forth as Will and Zach break down the biggest stories across the sports world.
