In this soulful and engaging episode, the Archetypal Tarot Podcast welcomes guest Kaity Craven about her “Moonflower Moments” practice with card readings. She invites us into the magical world of intuitive card reading — a journey that's equal parts playful, profound, and occasionally butt-kicking (in the best way). With decks at the ready and intuition in the driver's seat, Kaity, a card and nature-rhythm reader, shows how each card becomes a doorway into deeper questions, unexpected answers, and moments of powerful self-discovery. What I love about Kaity's reading style is that it just FLOWS as she trusts her intuition. She is also unafraid to use MULTIPLE card decks, allowing for a diversity of interpretation. Nature's symbolism is frequent in her readings, and I love how she utilizes the Story Through Stone Reflection Card deck! This episode reveals Kaity's reading style IN ACTION while she gives me a live card reading! Budding and experienced card readers will benefit from observing her trust, style and flow — and you'll definitely want to grab your own deck and play along. Kaity shares how the process is less about having all the answers and more about being a big YES to whatever arises — drawing another card, chasing a curiosity, or exploring a feeling until the “well” feels fully drawn. Whether it's joy, mystery, or a spiritual gut-check, the cards are there to meet you where you are and take you further than you expected. Craving more of Kaity? You can watch her frequent and amazing Youtube videos by becoming a subscriber to Moonflower Moments. I highly recommend a reading with Kaity, she can read over Zoom or phone at reasonable rates. You book her by reaching out to her via her Instagram account. Want to see the cards Kaity uses in this podcast's card reading? Become a paid subscriber on my Substack and gain access to the video version next week!

QUINCY, MA - We watched the latest round of Major League Rugby through green-colored glasses, as teams paid homage to St. Patrick. Indeed, the luck of the Irish was needed by two home teams, particularly New England. Indeed, star-in-the-making - Free Jacks' flanker Jed Melvin - was the beneficiary of luck and hard work, soaring over the whitewash at death for a "walk-off" try. For years, Lupe Flores was primarily known as the drummer for a number of Seattle rock bands, including Wild Powwers. But as something to do to keep herself sane during pandemic lockdown, she reconnected with a childhood tradition. “I feel like a lot of musicians are like, 'Oh, I sang whatever in church' or 'My parents always had music,’” Flores says. “There was literally no music. There has always been food.” She started making tacos using her Lebanese-Mexican grandmother's recipe and began Lupe's Situ Tacos. (Situ is Arabic for "grandmother.") In an interview at her restaurant with KEXP’s Martin Douglas, Flores spoke of going from picking cilantro leaves in her grandmother's kitchen to starting a business in the heart of one of Seattle's coolest neighborhoods.Support the show: https://www.kexp.org/sound/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. Political correspondent Sam Sokol and environmental reporter Sue Surkes join host Jessica Steinberg for today's episode. Sokol looks at the coalition's struggle over ultra-Orthodox army service exemptions, between those who want to minimize exemptions and those who want to use legislation to create a gradual increase leading to universal enlistment. He discusses a recent Likud lawmaker conference on the subject, that called for a more universal Haredi draft and sanctions on draft dodgers. In honor of Tu B'Shvat, the Jewish holiday of the trees, Surkes reports on the new Jewish Climate Trust, with heavy involvement from philanthropist Steven Bronfman, of the Canadian Bronfman family. The fund, which is launching next month, will be the first to focus specifically on climate, aiming to help Jewish and Israeli climate organizations build interfaith bridges and regional bridges in the Middle East. Surkes also speaks about several moshav communities in the south that were attacked by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023. Two are located just outside the designated zone of the Gaza Envelope and are therefore not eligible for the funding necessary to rebuild after the October 7, 2023 attacks. Please see today's ongoing live blog for more updates. Subscribe to The Times of Israel Daily Briefing on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts. Through a complex, interwoven, interstate system, transmission cables carry electricity to businesses and homes everywhere, connecting the United States in a latticework of metal and rubber from one coast to another coast. With soaring energy needs and aging infrastructure, utility companies say new power lines are needed. The Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project, a 70-mile transmission line that would cross three counties, is one proposed addition. Community members, environmentalist and elected officials are pushing back, however. Last week, the Baltimore County Council passed a resolution voicing opposition to the MPRP. WYPR reporter John Lee joins Midday to provide the latest on the story. Later, we talk to Joanne Frederick, of Stop MPRP Inc. She is a Baltimore County resident at risk of losing property to the transmission lines and has organized resistance. Data centers are one source of soaring energy need across the region. And an initiative to lure data center companies from northern Virginia is seeing some success. Jessica Fitzwater, Frederick County Executive, joins the program to talk about what she is hearing from constituents about data centers and the MPRP, which runs through her county. Plus, President and CEO of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce Rick Weldon discusses the budding industry of data centers in Maryland.Email us at midday@wypr.org, tweet us: @MiddayWYPR, or call us at 410-662-8780.
Only one day after watching the earth swallow up Korah and his company, the rest of Israel still grumbled against Moses and Aaron, thinking that they could approach the LORD apart from His chosen mediators. When the LORD began to send a plague against Israel, Moses interceded for the people by sending Aaron with burning incense to stand between the dead and the living. The LORD graciously stopped the plague against His people due to Aaron's ministry, and the LORD confirmed Aaron as His chosen high priest by causing the staff of Aaron to sprout with almond blossoms. This served as an ongoing testimony for the people of Israel as Aaron's staff was placed in the ark of the covenant. Rev. Brian Flamme, pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Roswell, NM, joins host Rev. Timothy Appel to study Numbers 16:41-17:13. "Wilderness Wanderings” is a series on Sharper Iron that goes through the book of Numbers. After the LORD delivers His people from slavery in Egypt, He leads them toward the Promised Land. Although the first generation of Israelites proves faithless, the LORD remains faithful to His people and brings a new generation of Israelites to the plains of Moab. This strengthens us to listen to God's promises today and stay faithful to Him as He guides us toward resurrection life.
