As Amanda's sabbatical begins, we are revisiting previous episodes of the podcast. This week marked the 5th anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol. In today's episode of Respecting Religion, hear a conversation two years after the attack. Amanda and Holly share their reactions to the report released by the January 6 Select Committee at the end of 2022, including the lack of any mention of Christian nationalism and why that matters. They also discuss the importance of Christian leaders providing an alternative witness in 2023 to the Christian nationalism exhibited during the attack on the Capitol. Morale is low today after the Dolphins get embarrassed on Monday night football against the Steelers, and now are officially eliminated from the playoffs. We touch on the struggles of the Miami Heat as they lost their 5th game in a row last night versus the Raptors. Tobin and Leroy dissect the game and evaluate the possibilities in the future for the Miami Dolphins. We take calls and hear from all the disgruntled Dolfans. We roll right into the second hour fielding more calls from Dolfans, and get into a discussion of whether or not the Dolphins organization is dysfunctional. The guys talk about possible future head coach scenarios for the Miami Dolphins. Leroy poses a question to the Dolphins fans, are you willing to be patient when they inevitably rebuild. We get into the Miami Heat's struggles as they drop to the Toronto Raptors for their 5th straight loss. Tyler Herro was a late scratch; Leory and Brittney feel like this could mean a trade soon but are shocked to find out Tobin doesn't agree. We then dip into our Mixed Bag and hear from; Aaron Rodger's ego and an annoyed Troy Aikman. We continue to break down the Dolphins getting embarrassed and eliminated on Monday versus the Steelers, we hear Tua and Jordy Brook's postgame comments. The guys make sure to praise the Cats as they took down the Lightning last night as they continue to impress. Would Giannis coming to the Heat be the immediate fix they need right now, or are their issues bigger than that? We wrap this Somber Tuesday with a little silly sauce as we discuss swimming with monkeys, and get in our last blows to Tua for his lacking display of disappointment after the game last night.

We kicked off the show with some bad losses from last night, Tobin was defeated after the Avalanche beat down on the Cats and the Bucs went down after being up by 14. Leroy is somber after reports come out on who Michigan they are looking at to be their next head coach. We preview the Monday Night Football matchup between the Dolphins and Steelers. We start off the second hour with a bit of silly sauce as Tobin tries to convince Leroy and Brittney of his ridiculous time zones theories. We quickly pivot as Tua told the media that he was “happy” with the Dolphins despite him not throwing the ball much, and Tobin raises the question if Tua will even be here next season. We then try to Tickle Leroy's Fancy ahead of the NFL football weekend slate. Tobin is sick of people trying to bait him with the Giannis to the Heat rumors, he swears that he is a changed man and will not resort back to his old ways of getting excited about players coming to Miami… we all call bs. He then goes on to rant about the NBA begging them GIVE THE HEAT THEIR PICK! Leroy spends the segment fighting with technology and Tobin has enough! Leroy continues to dissect and share his feelings as more news comes out about the situation with former head coach Sherrone Moore of the University of Michigan and his Alma Mater. Tobin reports that TJ Watt will more than likely not play on Monday Night Football against the Dolphins. We finish up the show with our favorite Friday Game "You're Dead to Me” big mouths and the gang turns on each other.
