This podcast is about anything and everything that I decide to talk about. Sometimes it'll be goal setting, sometimes it'll be mindset, and other times it'll be random musings or things that piss me off.
Happy 2024. The first episode of 2024 is to let you know that I have finally discovered my process to actual happiness and I'm finally in a place where I think I can help other people with that without feeling imposter syndrome. HTTPS://meditationdummy.com Is a new project I've started where I want to hold classes virtually to teach people and introduction to meditation. If you have experience with meditation it'll still be beneficial for you because it can be a reminder or it might give you different insight on the meditative process for yourself.
I talked about the importance of taking a breather multiple times a day and actual gratitude. Not being grateful for what you think society wants you to be grateful for but being happy for the small things in your life and actually finding something to be grateful for even if it's "egotistical"
Over the last 12 months I've really been able to achieve quite a bit and finally find peace and be content with my life. In this episode I lay out some of the basic steps that have helped me START to figure things out. I hope it helps you begin the process.
One of the reasons I think I've done so well with weight watchers is because I've already tried to do so many things and needed a strong mindset to try and believe that I was going to succeed with those things. Now that I'm seeing results believing that the goal is possible.. it seems easy.
Why haven't you heard from me on this podcast for a while? I took a massive step back from everything in order to try and find what I really want to do and what excites me. I haven't found that yet but I'm working on it.
2-year anniversary of this podcast that is all. Thank you all to everybody that keeps listening
In this episode I discuss spotify's podcast wrap up in the stats that I had for this thing in 2022. And some other ideas I had for 2023.
Still trying to find a hobby, I've got a new motor coming for my car and I'm currently nursing a back injury but still doing great
I made a bunch of promises to myself a few years back and it appears this year was the year I broke most of them and it actually worked out better. The only promise that I made to myself was that I would meditate every day for at least 10 minutes and I've kept that up for 283 days so far. The rest of the promises breaking them to myself seem to work out better.. enjoy the episode and let me know what you think
We are all similar in what we are dealing with as part of the human condition
You know the drill. I talk about stuff and I reflect on things
I'm super grateful. I got roses from work and a cheesecake and a card. Things are going really well and I just wanted to talk. I hope you like it
In this episode I talk a little bit about wanting to be able to bottle up what I've been getting out of my meditation and give it to people but I'm unable to do that. So I reflect on a few things in this episode and encourage you to try something new just for the sake of trying it and see if that helps expand your mind in any way.
In this episode I talk about the dumb mistake I made with blood pressure pills. This was based on my arrogance I also share a fun story of how I helped a friend get a job, and I made a good impression on some co-workers.
This episode I just share my reflections on what I want for the future and I talk a little bit more about meditation as usual. Enjoy
In this episode I go on a bit of a rant about ambiguous schools and being vague and how our brain likes to use that to make us feel like we're not doing enough. I also talk about how beating yourself up doesn't do anything positive. Especially if you do something for Joy like eat a bad piece of food or stay up late and watch another episode on Netflix. If you beat yourself up for that behavior then you've not only lost the joy of the thing that you did but then you feel worse on the other end.
In this episode I talk about a little bit more on why I've realized I don't release consistent podcast episodes anymore. It's because I'm not really obligated by any other than you listeners ( who I love and greatly appreciate) to force recording this. Which allows me to record when I feel inspired to do so. I truly believe that this makes for better, more fulfilling episodes
In this episode I talk about the fact that everyone seems to lay out steps on how to change things. You have millions of ways to set goals and change certain aspects of your life. But that advice is always kind of vague in my opinion. How do you create new things and replace old habits? I give insight into what has worked for me lately. Keep in mind what works for me may not work for you but try it and then let me know.
This one's pretty self-explanatory. Listen and enjoy also, sorry not sorry lol for the length of the podcast episode.
In this episode I talk about me hitting 90 straight days of meditating. I also discovered the benefits of not telling people about your goals so I discussed those benefits in this episode. Enjoy!
In this episode I talk about entrepreneurship and that not everybody is built to be an entrepreneur some people are built to be an employee and the things that I've done in the past help me appreciate a good job where I am an employee. I am a cog and a wheel and I'm proud of it. I also talk about my relationship with my parents and having the realization that they were once my age with young kids trying to figure life out. It gives me an insane amount of empathy and gratitude for them and what they tried to do and what they did for me and my sisters.
More reflection on meditation, habits and general updates of things that I've got going on in life.
As you can tell I'm running out of good titles for my podcast episodes, hahaha. In this episode I talk about 62 days of meditation and what it's done for me as well as working through thoughts and different things to be a little easier on ourselves and have a little bit more fun.
In this episode, similar to the last one, I go a little deeper into past experiences and how they actually lead up to everything that I've gone through and they give me a greater appreciation for where I am. It's different than what most people would say because they talk about their past experiences and failures leading them to their current success. I'm going more granular than that I'm simply talking about my past experiences have you give me a greater appreciation for the job that I have. Going to work and being able to do my job well and getting a paycheck and then being able to come home and not do anything if I don't want to. Or how it is my responsibility to find a creative outlet and other things that I need to do to balance my life.
In this episode I talk about meditation, my new job and how I've started to understand my past experiences and skills and how I can apply them in the future. Also if you want to be a guest or you have any ideas on different things I could do on a podcast please let me know. steve@stevebertrand.ca
Just a quick little update and a thank you. I hope you enjoy. Also, let me know if you want to be a guest on the podcast or if you know of anybody that might be a good guess that I can get on here because I want to step that up as well.
This episode Josh and I cover a lot of things. And just to be extra clear as a disclaimer: we no longer endorse or promote any of the things talked about in this podcast these are simply things that we have done. Make sure you do your own due diligence and check with your own professionals whenever you do anything. Enjoy
Thanks for sticking with me. Happy 2022 to everyone. I invite anyone to email me at steve@stevebertrand.ca or find me on social media to suggest topics that I can talk about just to change things up a little bit. Also if you want to be on my podcast as a guest let me know. Or if you know someone that might be a good person to have on the podcast and have a chat with let me know and put me in touch and I can connect with that person.
Merry Christmas hope everyone has a happy next few days and I just get into the next few projects that I'm working on and some goals that I've had for the last week of ending each day on a win and I list those in this episode.
Enjoy the episode.
In this episode I chat a little bit about what's been happening with me and the direction I want to go for a future episodes and do some more documenting of the process. I'll be talking a little bit more about my crypto purchases and some different things of that nature.
THANK YOU
In this episode I talk about just being excited to have the skills that I have because of this podcast and because of my YouTube channel and because of all those things and I mentioned a little bit about being burnt out still and not wanting to do things on the internet which I've talked about before.
In this episode I talk about finally being at peace with not being a internet celebrity and having monetary success with my side projects.
In this episode I talk a lot about where I've been in the last couple of weeks and what I've been going through and I stepped outside myself a little bit. I wanted to take a look at what advice I would give someone in my situation if I wasn't me. And I talk about breaking things down even further and stretching them out even longer and I go through that process. I talk a little bit about the future and the future of this podcast. If you want to be a guest on the podcast please email me: Steve@stevebertrand.ca or Steve@rollingmotivation.com
In this episode I talk about my 4 tips for moving forward through life and being happier. 1. I talked about the word "yet". 2. Trusting yourself and your intuition 3. Take a detailed report of what you can do better next time oh, and also what you did well so you can continue that on. 4. Quit beating yourself up and forgive yourself.
In this episode I simply talk about my constant need to be driven forward towards a goal. Whenever I don't do a lot I feel lazy and then I beat myself up for feeling lazy. Do you ever feel that way? Thanks for listening-Steve
In this episode of talk about needing to let go of the reigns and find people to help me promote this as well as the YouTube channel and some other projects because what I've been working on hasn't helped as much as I want it to and I want to see if I can take this all to the next level. Email me steve@stevebertrand.ca Thanks
In this episode I talked about the power of not using Tony Robbins LOL. Saving myself roughly 780 bucks. And the power of a paper notebook with a dollar store pen.
I just ramble about a bunch of stuff in this I don't really have a contact for it except for I talked a little bit about wanting to change the need to talk about stuff all the time. And the irony that says I'm posting on social and I have a podcast on the YouTube channel but I want to talk about stuff less LOL.
What's up kids! We hear this advice all the time Don't get your hopes up! In my opinion it's probably the dumbest advice you can give someone. Not getting your hopes up only makes you enjoy the process less, you're still going to end up being just as disappointed. Start getting your hopes up and expecting things to go well.
In this episode I talk about almost every morning I have to get up and talk myself out of whatever weird subconscious dream that I had and sometimes it throws my head for a loop. This morning was particularly annoying and I had to work pretty hard to get myself moving in comparison to some other days. I talk about this in context of my seven-year-old self not having to change my behavior to be happy for the day. I woke up happy at 7 years old and whatever happened, happened. My default at 7 years was happy.
In this episode I talk about some days I don't feel good and some days I don't care how I feel and other days I feel great and they're all okay. I also tell a story about almost getting hit by a minivan I was exciting lol. I hope you enjoy!
In this episode I give details about what's been going on and what I've noticed I've come up against. Which is me not being authentic to myself and not being accepting of who I am. And no I don't have steps on how to fix it yet but I'm trying. Thanks for the support and stay tuned. https://podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1 steve@stevebertrand.ca
In this episode I talk about a revelation that a friend help me come to. I talk about the value of making lists of your past accomplishments in order to renew your energy and what it's done for me.
In this episode I talk a little bit about being in the news today for promoting an accessible public access to a beach that the city has created.
