In this episode, we're talking about why the end-of-summer hustle leaves us feeling fried, how summer ironically mirrors our “inner summer” (aka ovulation phase) where we can easily burn out too if we're doing too much! We chat about what we can do to actually ground ourselves before we crash. Think: slowing down, cozy transitions, nervous system resets, and creating little systems that make life way less chaotic. Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Cristi: Hi Dr. Cabral, thanks for all you do and your amazing, well researched supplement line. What do you think about oral supplementation of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid for joint support as we age and things like osteoarthritis? Do you think there are better things to take, or if we are taking/doing the basic things you recommend, is this worth adding to the mix, or is it a waste of money? Thank you! Ali: Hello, I have a son who was born with multiple heart defects- AV Canal, mitral valve prolapse, and coarctation of the aorta. He had 3 open heart surgeries before the age of 1 to fix these issues, and by the hands of some amazing surgeons and the grace of God, he is now 16 years old and hasn't needed another surgery in the past 15 years. But because of his heart history, it has been recommended that anytime he has dental work done- even just a routine cleaning, that he take an antibiotic an hour beforehand. I cringe every time I have to give it cause I know of the ill effects. I've heard you say you don't want to take an antibiotic unless it's life saving... would you consider this one of those times? Or do you think it's overly conservative to take an antibiotic for prevention? Anonymous: hi Dr Cabral. I have a Moringa tree growing in my backyard. Just wondering how you recommend to use the leaves and are they able to be eaten daily? I have dried the leaves before made a powder. Would this be recommended to have daily in a smoothie? Have you also heard of soursop and using leaves to make a tea? Thank you ☺️ Anonymous: hi Dr. Cabral. I am more of the vata body type and play sport (tennis/ netball) at night time a couple nights a week. I sometimes have trouble winding down, I love these sports as I work from home and love getting out to see people. Do you have any tips on how to wind down and what would be the typical workout week for a vata - pita body type wanting to gain muscle but not overdo it. Would three days gym, two days light Pilates or yoga plus walking everyday and sport be too much? Thank you Patrick: Hey dr. What do you think about shockwave therapy and do you recommend any of the ones that are available online thanks Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right! - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3474 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? The big thing you need to know: First, with reporting season starting to wind down, Health Care and Tech stand out positively on a few of our earnings-related sector stats. Second, we recap what we read in last week's S&P 500 earnings calls. The overall tone improved vs. the prior week, but we still detected plenty of uncertainty as reporting season winds down particularly on demand, the consumer, mitigation levers yet to be pulled, and capex. Third, we run through a few other things that jump out on our high frequency indicators including the surge in Growth stocks, waning investor sentiment, and the sharp US equity funds outflows seen in the latest EPFR data.
Hour 1 – The Drive opened the show looking at all the happenings from the Chiefs at camp, as there are only a handful of practices left.
H2 - Segment 1 - Fri Aug 1 2025 - We got some news! The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is winding down their operation
We talk about a variety of topics with Steve Silton, attorney with Cozen O'Connor - Vikings training camp, Royce Lewis, Epstein files, Senate floor exchange and much more for a few segments and then close out with a Lynx win over the Liberty!
Talk of loyalist paramilitaries disbanding is now generally seen as extremely unlikely. Cynicism abounds as to whether these armed groups will ever ‘transition' into peaceful organisations – and of course whether they really can abandon rampant and lucrative criminality. But there does seem to have been some movement in a very unlikely place, the South-East Antrim UDA. The Belfast Telegraph's security correspondent Allison Morris joins Ciarán Dunbar. Hosted on Acast. When one luminary blocks another, as happens during an eclipse, we experience significant shifts in energy. This New Moon solar eclipse will create a hunger for progress and beginnings. This eclipse is in Aries, the cardinal fire sign of the Zodiac, and will activate themes of initiation and momentum. There is a restlessness and desire to move forward under this New Moon eclipse. This New Moon eclipse in Aries is also the last of a pattern of Aries eclipses that began in April 2023 and is now winding down and ending. This could signal the slow down and then end of a particular goal, plan, or obsession. Join Kelly and a host of other astrologers online on March 22 for the ‘Fire and Air' Astrology Summit. Learn all about the transits happening in 2025 as Saturn and Neptune and move into Aries. Kelly's talk will focus on Neptune in Aries. The origin of the virtue of soberness is attributed to the monastic tradition. The German term "nüchtern" (sober in English) is borrowed from the Latin "nocturnus" and describes the state of the monk at night (see Friedrich Kluge, etymological dictionary of the German language). So, to gain access to what "soberness" really means, Fr. Mauritius discusses what role the night plays for the monks and how they spend it. Saint Benedict of Nursia, the founder of the Benedictine order, has much to say. His observations can also help us to reflect on how we spend the night. SERIES 3 EPISODE 67: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: "No one in this world, so far as I know—and I have searched the records for years, and employed agents to help me—has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby. The mistake that is made always runs the other way. Because the plain people are able to speak and understand, and even, in many cases, to read and write, it is assumed that they have ideas in their heads, and an appetite for more. This assumption is a folly." H.L. Mencken (1926). Nice of Hispanic males to vote for the guy who will deport all their relatives and friends and namesakes and when they run out, deport them. Also: the anti-Trump conservative who's trying to be optimistic: at least now Trump won't try another coup! And Jeff Bezos congratulates Trump because if they're still blackmailing Bezos on Trump's behalf, this is what it would look like! And details on the future of this podcast (yes, it has one). B-Block (20:51) SPECIAL COMMENT TWO: My theory of The Lifeboat and how it explains who voted for Trump and why. C-Block (34:00) GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
