In this episode, Emily openly talks about her own childhood sexual abuse. The abuse was at the hand of a close family member and continued for 10+ years. She shares the toll it took on her as a teenager and the effects it had on her family. Like most sexual abuse situations, she wasn't the only one. Emily overcame! She is a survivor and, in this episode, she talks about how she navigated through the trauma and is now functioning as a healthy adult. There's hope!
