An AA meeting in a Podcast. Sobercast is an (unofficial) Alcoholics Anonymous podcast featuring AA speaker meetings and workshops. This is not a discussion podcast, simply speaker meetings and workshops in a podcast format.
The Sober Cast: An (unofficial) Alcoholics Anonymous Podcast is an incredible resource for those in recovery from alcohol addiction. As someone who has been sober for over 7 years, I can confidently say that this podcast has played a significant role in my journey. It has become one of my favorite apps, and I want to express my gratitude to whoever runs it.
One of the best aspects of The Sober Cast is the wide variety of speakers and topics covered. Not only are there circuit speakers, but there are also regular members sharing their stories and experiences. This diversity allows listeners to connect with different perspectives and find inspiration in various ways. Additionally, the podcast has been particularly helpful during the pandemic when in-person meetings have been limited or unavailable. The daily chairs and relatable shares have provided a sense of community and support during challenging times.
While not every speaker or topic may be awe-inspiring, there have been a few that have truly touched me and helped reshape my life for the better. These speakers have inspired me to make positive changes and deepen my understanding of sobriety. Despite occasional misses, overall, the quality of the content is excellent.
Furthermore, The Sober Cast has helped me recognize some deep-rooted issues within myself that contributed to my addiction. It has shed light on my selfishness and why I turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism. Through listening to these speakers' stories, I have learned that selflessness and service to others are key components of recovery. Each speaker's vulnerability is heartwarming, making me want to give them all a big hug while expressing gratitude for sharing the language of the heart.
In conclusion, I am incredibly grateful for The Sober Cast: An (unofficial) Alcoholics Anonymous Podcast. It has had a profoundly positive impact on my life as someone who is over 7 years sober. Especially during tough times like these, when physical AA meetings are not possible, this podcast has been a lifeline for many. The diverse range of speakers and topics, along with the sense of community it provides, make it an invaluable resource for anyone in recovery. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking support and inspiration on their sober journey.

This is a call up meeting at the 3rd Annual Columbia River Young Peoples Roundup from September of 1978. The topic of the meeting is On Awakening and has a number of folks in the audience coming up and sharing on the topic. If you have any recordings of young peoples events you are willing to share please email me, I feel like this is one area my speaker resources are a bit weak. About once a year I get an email asking me why in the podcast opening I say that this "Is a podcast for men". I am saying "In a podcast format". Workshop: Tim M - How To Sponsor Someone Through Step12 and Two Additional Topics (Part 3 of 3) 7 hrs Tim M does an impressive job leading this workshop that was held over 17 sessions on the topic of: How To Sponsor Someone Through The Steps. I have broken these down into 3 parts to go up over 3 days. Tim takes the lead for the first 45 min of each session, after that he takes questions from the participants. Recorded from the end of July to the middle of November in 2021, also a quick thanks to Tim for his help in getting these out to you. This was recorded over zoom so the audio quality is very good, however there are a couple of zoom dropouts. There was also good deal of dead air during the Q & A, I have gone through all the audio removing a much of that as possible along with balancing the audio levels. Since this has multiple sessions on each episode I added a very brief click track between the sessions to help you differentiate them. To download the written material Tim refers to CLICK HERE Part 1: Steps 1-7 ( Six Hours ) Steps 1-3 each get an hour, Step 4 gets 2 hours and then Tim covers steps 5-7 in the last hour. Part 2: Steps 8-11 (Four Hours) Each Step is covered for about an hour Part 3: Step 12 and Two Additional Topics (Seven Hours) Step 12 is covered over 5 hours and then we move into two additional topics: Sponsoring Relapsing Sponsees and Games We Play With Sponsors each of those are about an hour and those two may not be in the correct sequence but it seemed the best place to put them.
