Louis Foster is in his second year with the Rahal Letterman Lannigan IndyCar Series team and earned pole position at the new street race in Markham, Ontario Canada in August 2026. That was his second career pole after last year's first starting spot at Road America as a rookie. We met up with Foster during a media session at this year's Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. The former Indy Lights champion has had an up and down year, however you can tell from this interview that he's an incredibly motivated driver who wants to succeed in this series. Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp (TSX-V:KLDC, OTCQB:KLKLF) CEO Stefan Sklepowicz tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion the company has hit 25.85 grams per tonne gold over three metres in a 150-metre step-out at its Mirado project, calling it a high-grade feeder beneath the historical deposit and a sign of a strong, long-lived orogenic system. Sklepowicz highlighted the Mirado West zone as a standout opportunity, with a geophysical anomaly stretching 6.5 kilometres north and only two holes drilled into it so far. He said there are no edges on the system yet, raising the possibility it could become a large deposit in its own right. The company holds 42,000 hectares in the Kirkland Lake Camp in Ontario, a district with 120 years of mining history. Sklepowicz described the area as near-turnkey for mine development given existing infrastructure and nearby major mining companies. KL South is identified as the most advanced project, with a historical resource of 442,000 ounces that management believes was understated when compiled at the end of the 2013 bull market. With 23 holes currently pending, Sklepowicz said investors should expect continuous news flow over the next three to four months, covering Mirado West step-outs, the northern zone, and regional boundary tests, with an updated mineral resource estimate flagged for 2027. What happens when they are not successful?Researching the motivation of lawyers who initiate legal actions arose when a long-time listener to my podcast wrote, after listening to Podcast 288, "I am surprised you seem to recommend the REIT IIPR given their recent legal issues....I held the stock briefly in 2023 and 2024 only to sell it at a loss and join a large group of shareholders in a legal action against the company".My mention of IIPR in that podcast was to illustrate how a high dividend yield had resulted in its then low IDM risk score. The idea that unusually high dividends are due to an unusually high investment risk, like most generalities, ignores exceptions. In this podcast I do a thorough analysis of the IIPR risk. I found the  stock had many strengths which is probably why the class actions were dismissed in August as having no merit. However it raises questions: Why did the law firm initiate a class action law suit? What role do those investors in the class-action lawsuit play? What percentage of the judgment would the plaintiff lawyer realize if its legal action were successful? Who pays if the lawsuit is unsuccessful.I was surprised to see the huge number of blue chip stocks that the IIPR law firm had initiated class action lawsuits against. The reward for investors participating in the class action lawsuit was not obvious. In this podcast I describe some of the remarkable achievements of BYD which involves far more than cars.  As a leading manufacturer of batteries they supply most of the other manufacturers of electric vehicles and in addition  manufacture computer chips for Apple, Samsung and other electronic manufacturers. With 900,000 employees they are China's largest private corporation.For 17 years, until 2025, a large percentage of   shares were owned by Berkshire Hathaway, the American conglomerate, whose profit on their original investment of $230,000,000 is reported to have had a gain of 3,890% on that original investment. While the U.S. government is attempting to protect its domestic car manufacturers by blocking BYD cars from the American market. This seems futile since BYD already has an operation in the US and also in Canada. Thus, when a friend asked me for help in selecting ETFs for his multi-million dollar portfolio, I was quick to let him know my feeling about funds. This week's podcast gets into my concerns about funds and it brings back memories of seeing my portfolio of supposedly safe mutual funds lose $300,000 over three years.As I explain this week, with a fund you are blindly sold on putting your money into something that you have no control over, whose contents can change on a fund manager's whim and is almost impossible to determine its strength. You are much further ahead to build a portfolio of 20 financially strong diverse companies paying high dividends who for the last two decades have shown consistent growth in their share price and dividend payouts. Each of the managers of these 20 strong dividend stocks would have proven they know how to make a profit and grow a company. Chinese House Church Pastor Ezra Jin has been released from a communist prison!   This comes after US President Donald Trump brought up his case with the Chinese president last month. China Aid interprets the action as a  “goodwill gesture coinciding with America's Independence Day.” Bob Fu of China Aid noted that “While we celebrate Pastor Jin's freedom, our hearts remain with the countless jailed pastors and coworkers from Zion Church as well as priests, bishops, and house church Christians. . . who remain unjustly imprisoned by the Chinese Communist Party.”   Pastor Jin's daughter, Grace Jin Drexel, has spoken out on national media and lobbied Congress and the President for the release of her father since he was arrested last October.  Iran sentenced five people to death Iranian courts have sentenced five more people to death because they participated in alleged “anti-government” activities in recent protests. This adds to the 1,639 persons executed in 2025, according to Iran International.  Iranian officials call for Trump's assassination Calls for President Trump's assassination from Iranian government officials and the crowd of hundreds of thousands on the streets of Tehran were plentiful, according to the New York Post. One banner promised $100 million for the person who kills the US President, according to reports from Iran International.   Cuba's nationwide blackout Another communist country, Cuba, is in serious economic and social disintegration. The country experienced a nationwide blackout over the weekend — affecting transportation, crucial medical care, and government operations, reports FoxNews. That's the third blackout in six months. Russian missiles and drones killed 21 Ukrainian citizens Russian missiles and drones killed 21 Ukrainian citizens in a blitz attack on Kiev over the weekend. Another 100-plus people were injured in the attacks, that came at the eve of a NATO summit, reports the BBC. President Donald Trump reports to have had a lengthy “constructive” conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.  LEGO pushes sexual perversion The Denmark-owned LEGO company is openly pushing homosexual Pride parades, homosexual faux marriage, and other homosexualized themes for children. The LEGO company's pride month celebration included a contest intended to groom children in homosexual ideologies. In the words of their website, LEGO seeks to “celebrate everyone you love.” In Matthew 18:6, Jesus said, “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” Evangelical Christian edges out RINO in Colorado's governor race An evangelical Christian, Victor Marx, has edged out the middle-of-the-road Republican candidate in Colorado's gubernatorial race, reports Colorado Newsline. After 97% of the primary vote count has come in, Marx maintains a 1% lead. A recount may still be in the works. Trump-endorsed candidates and conservative candidates have won so far in Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, and Georgia. Abortion is up despite Roe v. Wade's demise Despite the U.S. Supreme Court's overturn of Roe v. Wade in 2022, abortions continue to rise in the United States.  The most recent numbers indicated 1.13 million abortions nationwide last year. That's up from 862,000 in 2017, reports The Christian Post. While a number of Republican-leaning states have restricted abortion, many Democrat-leaning states have opened up access to abortions.  Additionally, the Abortion Kill Pill is accessible in all states, and remains the largest driver in the uptick of abortion numbers. Psalm 94:21 says, “They gather together against the life of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.” Dept. of Justice cracks down on medical fraud The Department of Justice is cracking down on medical fraud. More than 450 defendants were named in the latest fraud bust, with the fraud totaling more than $6.5 billion!  Robert F. Kennedy Jr., head of the Department of Health and Human Services, explained the implications of the far-reaching medical fraud bust. KENNEDY: “Our objective is straightforward: to stop the fraud before it happens. “The people charged today should understand that we will continue expanding these capabilities, strengthening and enforcement, and pursuing every credible allegation of fraud. If you exploit patients for profit, if you steal Medicaid or Medicare dollars, if you treat taxpayer dollars as your personal bank account, we will investigate you. “We will build the case, and we will bring you to justice. We will find fraud, we will stop it, we will recover taxpayer dollars whenever the law permits, and we will restore integrity to the programs that millions of Americans rely on for their care.” 7 million illegals under Biden drove up housing costs A new report out of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas detailed the massive impact illegal immigration has had on housing prices. Per the report, around seven million illegal immigrants entered the United States during the Biden presidency, which contributed greatly to soaring housing prices. The report further read, “A back-of-the-envelope calculation suggests that [unauthorized immigrant worker flows] can explain about 30% of the total growth in house prices and 20% of total growth in rents over the boom period for the average local market.” And Lora Ries of the Heritage Foundation asserted, “We have at least 20 million deportable aliens in the U.S. Deporting millions of them will free up the housing supply, bring down housing costs, and allow young Americans to buy homes and start families.” But are there enough workers in America to do the work?  Fewer and fewer able-bodied Americans are willing to work.  The U.S. Labor Participation rate has dipped to 61.5% — down from 67% in the early 2000s. Unemployment is running at 4.2% — slightly higher than unemployment rates prior to the Covid pandemic in 2019. On St. Patrick's day 2026 a fireball meteor brighter than the full moon streaked across the daytime sky.  The American Meteor Society received 223 eyewitness reports from observers in 15 states, the District of Columbia, and Ontario Canada as well as 5 videos and 6 photos.  NASA reported that the incoming object was approximately 6 feet in diameter, weighed about 7 tons, released the energy of 250 tons of TNT, created a sonic boom heard over a wide area , and rained bits of itself onto the ground in Medina county Ohio.
