    Mr. Matthew Durkee served in the US Army in Korea from 1990 - 1998 before getting his BA in Special Education, his MA in Military Psychology and soon will be getting his doctorate in Traumatology and Community Counseling. Now he serves as the Director of the Veterans Center in Edmonds College located in Washington St. We dive into some ways trauma effects us and puts a name to it so people who are suffering can identify what is going on with them and seek the help they need specifically for that. She dives into her survivors guilt and addiction which led to chaos in her personal life. After being featured on the TV show Intervention and completing recovery programs she gets kidnapped and raped for 3 days. This is a story of bravery, and to be honest one of the saddest stories I have came across. This podcast will aim to help anyone who experienced any of these traumas and let them know that they are not alone and that people like Dana got through it and now is helping others by helping in their recovery.
