Let's be honest: a lot of people wrestle with the point of church. Why gather? Why commit to a church family? Maybe you've been hurt in the past, maybe life feels too busy, or maybe you've even thought, “Can't I just follow Jesus on my own?” This week, we're diving into Hebrews 13:7–21 as Pastor Doug helps us explore what it truly means to be part of a healthy, life-giving church. This isn't a guilt trip—it's an invitation. A fresh reminder of the beauty and purpose found when we live out our faith together. So come be encouraged. Bring a friend who's been feeling disconnected. Let's rediscover why the Church matters and how it can be a place of hope and healing again.
We're diving into Hebrews 13:4–6 with a message that's real, relevant, and practical. Let's be honest—we all struggle at times with putting our hope in things other than Jesus. We're going to talk openly about purity, priorities, and peace, and how those connect to marriage and the deep truth that Jesus is more than enough for every part of our lives. You don't want to miss it—bring a friend and come expectant.

In the book of Hebrews, many early Christians were tempted to return to their old ways, struggling to stay the course. Sound familiar? As believers, we face the same temptation—to drift back to what's comfortable instead of pressing forward in faith. But God has given us unshakable promises to keep us focused on what truly matters. These promises strengthen believers and serve as a powerful reminder to those still searching for truth of why following Jesus is vital.
As followers of Jesus, our greatest desire should be to live close to the heart of God — but let's be real, the world's economy constantly pulls us away from that closeness. We're diving into a powerful truth: Generosity isn't just about money — it's an act of worship that draws our hearts near to God's heart. This is a message we all need — so invite a friend, come expectant, and let's worship, learn, and grow together!

Continuing in our study of the ancestors of faith, we begin to piece together our path to stronger faith. These believers of old were called to persevere and be content with God's plan without actually receiving the promise of God in their lifetime. We seek to explore how we can be content with God's plan while keeping our eyes focused on eternity.
This week, we'll be looking at a faith that remembers God's promises. Over and over again the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 remembered God's promises and it cultivated faith and obedience. Remembering the promises of God is critical for keeping the faith in times of waiting and uncertainty!

Do you ever wonder if you're truly a Christian? Maybe you've asked yourself, "Was the decision I made for Jesus real? Did it stick?" Can we really know for sure? And what about the question of salvation—can we lose it? Is everyone who calls themselves a Christian truly a Christian? These are big questions, and they're ones many of us have wrestled with at different points in our lives.Pastor Doug will dive into the often-debated passage in Hebrews 6 to tackle these important questions and explore what God's Word says about them. It's the perfect opportunity to invite someone who doesn't normally attend church—or someone who has been walking with Jesus for years.
Picking up where we left off we will be talking about the "elementary teachings" the author spoke about in the beginning of Chapter 6. These teachings are at the beginning of the 3rd warning that the author gives us in this book as a call to action for believers. We will learn what the teachings are, how to learn them, and how do we continue to move on toward spiritual maturity in our lives.
We're diving into a topic that's highly relevant for us right now: What does the Bible say about politics and voting for Christians? Our country is divided, and if we're honest, even Christians can fall on different ends of the spectrum on these things. The world is talking about it, so we, as the body of Christ, need to as well. This Sunday, we'll answer questions like: Should Christians vote? Does it even matter? When we vote, how do we know who to vote for? and What does the Bible say about all of this?
The One Thing
What are My Priorities?
You have a purpose in this life and the next. God created you uniquely, but we often look to the wrong or limited sources for answers—like self-help books, social media, or worldly ideas. To truly find our purpose, we must look to our Creator. We were made by God for His purpose, and until we understand that, life will feel unclear. While God's purpose for us stays the same, how it unfolds can change with different seasons. Over the next three weeks, we'll dive into Scripture to discover God's plan, how to prioritize it, and make room for it to fully unfold.

Over the next four weeks, we will dive into the Bible to explore this mission that, through His power, is truly unstoppable.

So far the author of Hebrews has established Jesus as divine. He is the exact imprint of God's nature and the radiance of his glory. Jesus is above the angels. But this week, in chapter 2 of Hebrews, we turn our attention to the implications of Jesus' humanity and his death on the cross. Jesus is the King who took action, the Pioneer of our salvation, and the Brother who is not ashamed of us. In Jesus' death and resurrection we find our ultimate freedom from death itself.
