Episode 131 - What does it take to stand up to the U.S. government and demand justice? In this episode, we share the inspiring story of Tina Cordova, a cancer survivor and sixth-generation New Mexican who transformed personal tragedy into a decades-long fight for accountability. As co-founder of the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium, Tina helped bring national attention to the victims of radioactive fallout from the Trinity Test and fought for recognition, healthcare, and compensation for affected families. This is a powerful story of resilience, community, and the pursuit of justice against overwhelming odds.
Is there anything the Holy Spirit is warning you about today? How do we avoid falling into the compromises of sin? The Holy Spirit is the voice of God who convicts of sin and leads us in righteousness, according to His Word. The prophets repeatedly told Israel to wait on God and worship Him only. Such was the story of Samuel and King Saul. Pastor Heath teaches on the fear of the Lord, waiting on the Lord, and obeying the voice of the Lord from `1 Samuel. God wants our "unflinching faith and unwavering worship." Prophets and Kings Series Unflinching and Unwavering: The Fall of Saul

Many messages have been preached about Zacharias; often, they focus on how he was rendered mute because of his doubt. But few talk about the man's nature. Bro. Sullivan suggests that we can sum up his life in one word: Devoted. Zacharias and Elisabeth lived blamelessly before God — faithful in their duties despite carrying a quiet burden. In their culture, Elisabeth's barrenness was often whispered about as a sign of hidden sin. Yet they never wavered. They kept their spirits pure and continued serving, day after day. In our text, Zacharias is chosen to burn incense in the temple of the Lord. Due to the way the priestly duties were administered and chosen, this honor could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a priest. When you are devoted in your service to God, there will be moments when God will show up unexpectedly. On this day, for the first time in over 400 years, God spoke to mankind through the angel Gabriel. Zacharias received a word from God while doing what he knew how to do. The ones doing the daily work will see a miraculous work. God thrives in the repetition of the faithful. Unwavering devotion is never wasted. Zacharias didn't receive his breakthrough because he did something extraordinary — he received it in the middle of his ordinary, faithful service. When the weight of unanswered prayer feels heavy, keep serving. When silence makes you question, keep showing up. Your breakthrough may not come when you expect it, but it will come while you are devoted. Stay faithful. Stay committed. The same God who spoke after 400 years of silence is still speaking — and He is looking for those who never stopped serving.

The Birth of the Tramp and Absolute Self-ConfidenceUpon arriving in America, Chaplin's colleagues, including Stan Laurel, noted his unusual professional habits and his absolute, unwavering self-confidence. While working for Max Sennett at Keystone, Chaplin was initially considered too handsome for comedy, prompting him to assemble the iconic "Tramp" costume from mismatched wardrobe items in a single hour. This character, built on contradictions like tight coats and baggy pants, became an immediate global sensation. Despite his burgeoning fame and growing comfort with women, Chaplin remained an extraordinarily shy individual, often preferring the company of animals to social mingling at the height of his early stardom. Is True Leadership Found Only When You Are Willing to Stand Alone? https://teachhoops.com/ Leadership is often portrayed as a celebratory act—the coach at the center of the huddle, the trophy being raised, the loud cheers from the crowd. But any veteran coach knows that real leadership is often a solitary, quiet, and sometimes painful experience. It is the moments when you are "Alone in the Crowd." It's standing firm on a team standard—like sitting your star player for a missed class—when the parents are screaming, the administration is wavering, and even the players are looking at you like you're the enemy. Leadership isn't about being the most popular person in the gym; it's about being the most Principled one. When you are the only person willing to protect the "Soul" of the program, you are at your most powerful. The "Alone in the Crowd" phenomenon is where your "Trust Equity" is truly tested. In the mid-season January grind, when the novelty of the season has worn off and the wins are hard to come by, it's easy for a locker room to slide into a "complaining culture." As a coach, you might feel like a lone voice shouting into a void about "boxing out" or "sprinting the floor." But this isolation is the "Refiner's Fire." If you join the crowd in their negativity or their compromise, you lose your ability to lead them. By staying "Alone" in your commitment to the standard, you eventually create a gravitational pull that brings the right players—the "Energy Givers"—back to your side. Finally, we must address the "Emotional Weight" of the whistle. There is a specific type of loneliness that comes with making the final decision. You can't be "one of the guys" and also be the one who decides who plays and who sits. Use your TeachHoops member calls and office hours to bridge this gap. You don't have to be "alone" in the coaching community, even if you feel alone in your local gym. By connecting with peers who understand the burden of the "Billion Dollar Question," you realize that your isolation isn't a sign of failure—it's the Cost of Entry for championship leadership.

Dear Wonderful Reader,The money dwindles in my bank account. My grandma is dying. I have to sell my investment stocks and ETFs to pay for these flights. Hit by a “family emergency” when I have the least wiggle room. I gave up my Soho House membership, which in hindsight seems like an irresponsible and pretentious expense. Today is also my four-year anniversary since I quit my job in New York to pursue this creative life. I've spent 95% of my days since then extremely happy. No regrets. Yet two books published, workshops being taught, a feature in the New York Times, and a mention in Vogue isn't much comfort when my client pipeline is dry. This is a hard moment in my journey. Yet, I still have you, my lovely reader! Thank god you're still here. We're all still here, somehow. Today, I have something special for you. It is one of my favorite images. It is an image that sustains me in these difficult moments of life, and being a human on this planet. I wrote it when I returned to San Francisco from my friends' betrothal. A former tech minion, I have seen the bridge many times. But something about that day was different.Thank you for the opportunity to edit this and give this a little more love and polish. I will keep this in mind when I get on a plane tomorrow, and sit at my grandmother's bedside. Things are hard, but this is keeping me going. This is a gift. This is my gift for you,Love,TashSend this to someone you love

Do you fear returning to Him because of the places you’ve been or the things you’ve done? Jesus told a moving story in Luke 15 about God’s tender forgiveness toward His loved ones when they go astray. We call it the story of the Prodigal Son. The word prodigal literally means one who spends money in a reckless, extravagant way. In this story, a younger son asked his father for his inheritance early. (In Jewish custom, that would be the equivalent of telling his father he wished he were dead.) He then took his share of what was still legally his father’s, and went to a faraway land and squandered his entire inheritance on foolish, reckless, raunchy living. He was living high on the hog, rich with money and “friends,” until he found himself sleeping with the pigs, penniless and alone. Starving, and upon realizing he was envying the pigs for the slop they got to eat, he decided to return home and ask if he could be his father’s hired hand. Then at least he’d be fed better than pigs and have a place to sleep among his father’s servants. It must have been a long, grueling journey home for this man, who by this time was smelly, scrawny, and had been homeless for quite some time. A long walk home without food, water, proper clothing, or even good shoes only increased his shame and humiliation. Perhaps he had a speech prepared, an admission of his wrongdoing, a pleading for his father to consider taking him in as a servant. Or, maybe he just intended to fall in shame, at his father’s feet, and beg to even be heard. But before he could utter a word, his father surprised, shocked, and overwhelmed him with the unexpected greeting he received. His father’s pride was at stake with the return of a son whom he should consider dead to him. How he reacted would set an example to other Jewish families when their rebellious sons acted with such disrespect and contempt. Yet this father, upon seeing from a distance that the scraggly man making his way up the road was not some homeless derelict or demon-possessed wanderer, but his long-lost son, picked up the ends of his robe and ran to meet him. Before the shamed son could even utter a word to express the humiliation in his heart, his father embraced him, held onto him like there was no tomorrow, and then ordered his servants to give his son a robe (representing his position as “sonship”) and a ring (indicating his authority once again as an estate holder). The father then ordered that plans be made to celebrate the homecoming of his wayward son. They literally threw a party. This son, who was once thought dead, was now alive. He had returned home. There was no punishment. No lecture, no shaming, no rebuke, and no harsh words. Just grace. Forgiveness. Abundant love. I used to think this story was about the warning to not rebel, the consequences of disobedience, and the importance of repentance. But the story isn’t so much about the rebellious child, but about the patient, persevering, forgiving love of a father—the one who wouldn’t think for a second to relegate his child from heir to servant. His child’s position in the family didn’t change through disrespectful actions or heinous circumstances. Only the son’s heart had originally changed—and become calloused—toward his father. His father’s love for him, however, had never wavered. Intersecting Faith & Life: Do you realize that no matter what you and I do, we can’t “undo” God’s love for us? We can’t position ourselves out of our inheritance in Christ. We can’t disappoint Him to the point that He cancels us, or unfriends us, or relegates us to “outside-the-house” status and lets us visit once or twice a year at Easter or Christmas. The door to His home is always open. In fact, it never closes to us, once we’ve been allowed in to dwell with Him. Our door is the one we shut—the door to our hearts that causes Him to stand and knock and ask to come in (Revelation 3:20). Is the door of your heart constantly open to this Compassionate Father? If you’ve been gone a while, would you simply return to Him and dwell with Him continually? His invitation to you has never expired, His patience has never worn thin, His love has never run dry. Be the one who runs to Him and experiences His loving embrace. Lord Jesus, You have never allowed me to be a stranger to You; may You never be a neglected guest in my heart and home. Thank You for being the Father to whom I can run, ever trust, always love. What does unwavering faith actually look like when life gets painful, confusing, and far harder than you expected? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett and Nick break down why faith isn't tested in comfort—it's revealed in adversity.Using stories from Navy SEAL training, endurance sports, Scripture, and real-life leadership, the guys unpack three critical keys to sustaining faith through difficulty. First, they explain why mature men must learn to internalize and process hardship, instead of venting, avoiding, or outsourcing every challenge. Difficulty isn't meant to destroy you. It's raw material meant to be refined. Next, they reveal how timeframe orientation determines whether you quit in the valley or endure to the mountaintop. When men lose faith, it's often because they're operating on the wrong timeline and expecting eternal outcomes on short-term clocks. Finally, the conversation lands on the most decisive factor of all: authority. What you give ultimate authority to—what you trust more than circumstances—will determine whether your faith collapses or becomes unshakable. This episode is a blueprint for men who want to grow stronger, not bitter… resilient, not reactive… and faithful no matter how long the fight lasts.Apply for the Mindset Mastery Scholarship by January 14thJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

Read OnlineThe book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham… Thus the total number of generations from Abraham to David is fourteen generations; from David to the Babylonian exile, fourteen generations; from the Babylonian exile to the Messiah, fourteen generations.” Matthew 1:1; 17This lengthy list of Abraham's and David's descendents, leading to Jesus, is much more than a listing of names. It's an illustration of God's fidelity to His promises. To Abraham, God promised “All the families of the earth will find blessing in you” (Genesis 12:3). To David, God promised “Your house and your kingdom are firm forever before me; your throne shall be firmly established forever” (2 Samuel 7:16).Certain divine qualities are revealed in these passages. Unwavering fidelity, continuity through the ages, and God's eternal plan to bless all people through the descendants of Abraham and David are among them. These qualities are not only important for Scripture study, enabling scholars to better understand the whole of salvation history, they also are important to each one of our lives today. When God makes a promise, He is faithful to that promise. What promises has God made to you? He has promised the gifts of grace, happiness, holiness, and eternal life to all who become members of His Kingdom. This promise of unwavering fidelity should inspire hope within our hearts, especially when life is difficult. Difficulties can tempt us to despair, anxiety, and fear. Confidence in God's fidelity will keep us firmly grounded in the certainty of hope that God will never let us down when we remain faithful to Him.In our fast-paced and ever changing world, continuity and consistency are often absent. Many people change their views based on the latest trends. The barrage of constant news, political and moral opinions, and changing economic and social conditions tempt us to change with the latest ideas. God's ideas, however, never change. These promises should lead us to establish our lives not on the latest opinions or popular culture, but on the rock-solid principles of faith, as revealed by God.We are among those who receive blessings promised to “all the families of the earth” through Abraham. Jesus is that final descendent through Whom every good blessing comes. His mission opens the floodgates of grace to all who turn to Him in their need. Don't ever doubt that perfect and eternal plan of salvation. Reflect today on God's perfect fidelity, continuity, and promise of eternal salvation to all who become members of His Kingdom. That Kingdom will remain forever while every other kingdom will pass away. Resolve to remain a full citizen of that Kingdom by being unwaveringly faithful to God's promises, and you will be blessed now and forever to share in the eternal plan of our saving God. My faithful God, Your eternal Word never changes. Your perfect plan invites me to share in the salvation promised to all who follow You and become members of Your Kingdom. Grant me the gift of perfect fidelity to You so that I am consistently united to You and always remain a member of Your eternal Kingdom on Earth and in Heaven. Jesus, I trust in You. Loyalty, Loss, and the Shadow of Mao. Joseph Turigian focuses on Mao's famous phrase about Xi Zhongxun, emphasizing his unwavering loyalty despite repeated suffering at the party's hands. Following the 1949 victory, Xi moved to Beijing, where his son Xi Jinping was born. Xi Zhongxun held complicated views of Mao, feeling gratitude for his survival but recognizing Mao's transformation into a disastrous dictator post-1957. The segment discusses Xi's 1962 purge, which foreshadowed the Cultural Revolution, and his subsequent imprisonment from 1967 to 1975, experiencing persecution earlier than most high-ranking comrades. 8. The Misreading of Russia: Ideology and the Insufficiency of Alliances The debate over whether Ukraine should join the EU or NATO fundamentally misses the core issue: Russia's unwavering ideological belief that it must dominate and control Ukraine. If Russians are driven by this revanchist, neo-imperialist ideology, they will continue to seek control regardless of Ukraine's alliances, potentially through misinformation or political interference. American administrations (including Obama, Trump, and Biden) and many Western European powers have consistently misread Russia, treating it as rational or transactional, and thus failed to take its ideological goals seriously. This lack of understanding about Russia's commitment to control Ukraine means that any proposed "settlement" that does not acknowledge Ukraine as an independent state is doomed. Countries like the Baltics and Poland, which have hands-on experience dealing with Russia, correctly recognized the persistent threat but were often dismissed as overly dramatic.1855 CRIMEA Retry
