Dear Wonderful Reader,The money dwindles in my bank account. My grandma is dying. I have to sell my investment stocks and ETFs to pay for these flights. Hit by a “family emergency” when I have the least wiggle room. I gave up my Soho House membership, which in hindsight seems like an irresponsible and pretentious expense. Today is also my four-year anniversary since I quit my job in New York to pursue this creative life. I've spent 95% of my days since then extremely happy. No regrets. Yet two books published, workshops being taught, a feature in the New York Times, and a mention in Vogue isn't much comfort when my client pipeline is dry. This is a hard moment in my journey. Yet, I still have you, my lovely reader! Thank god you're still here. We're all still here, somehow. Today, I have something special for you. It is one of my favorite images. It is an image that sustains me in these difficult moments of life, and being a human on this planet. I wrote it when I returned to San Francisco from my friends' betrothal. A former tech minion, I have seen the bridge many times. But something about that day was different.Thank you for the opportunity to edit this and give this a little more love and polish. I will keep this in mind when I get on a plane tomorrow, and sit at my grandmother's bedside. Things are hard, but this is keeping me going. This is a gift. This is my gift for you,Love,TashSend this to someone you love

Do you fear returning to Him because of the places you’ve been or the things you’ve done? Jesus told a moving story in Luke 15 about God’s tender forgiveness toward His loved ones when they go astray. We call it the story of the Prodigal Son. The word prodigal literally means one who spends money in a reckless, extravagant way. In this story, a younger son asked his father for his inheritance early. (In Jewish custom, that would be the equivalent of telling his father he wished he were dead.) He then took his share of what was still legally his father’s, and went to a faraway land and squandered his entire inheritance on foolish, reckless, raunchy living. He was living high on the hog, rich with money and “friends,” until he found himself sleeping with the pigs, penniless and alone. Starving, and upon realizing he was envying the pigs for the slop they got to eat, he decided to return home and ask if he could be his father’s hired hand. Then at least he’d be fed better than pigs and have a place to sleep among his father’s servants. It must have been a long, grueling journey home for this man, who by this time was smelly, scrawny, and had been homeless for quite some time. A long walk home without food, water, proper clothing, or even good shoes only increased his shame and humiliation. Perhaps he had a speech prepared, an admission of his wrongdoing, a pleading for his father to consider taking him in as a servant. Or, maybe he just intended to fall in shame, at his father’s feet, and beg to even be heard. But before he could utter a word, his father surprised, shocked, and overwhelmed him with the unexpected greeting he received. His father’s pride was at stake with the return of a son whom he should consider dead to him. How he reacted would set an example to other Jewish families when their rebellious sons acted with such disrespect and contempt. Yet this father, upon seeing from a distance that the scraggly man making his way up the road was not some homeless derelict or demon-possessed wanderer, but his long-lost son, picked up the ends of his robe and ran to meet him. Before the shamed son could even utter a word to express the humiliation in his heart, his father embraced him, held onto him like there was no tomorrow, and then ordered his servants to give his son a robe (representing his position as “sonship”) and a ring (indicating his authority once again as an estate holder). The father then ordered that plans be made to celebrate the homecoming of his wayward son. They literally threw a party. This son, who was once thought dead, was now alive. He had returned home. There was no punishment. No lecture, no shaming, no rebuke, and no harsh words. Just grace. Forgiveness. Abundant love. I used to think this story was about the warning to not rebel, the consequences of disobedience, and the importance of repentance. But the story isn’t so much about the rebellious child, but about the patient, persevering, forgiving love of a father—the one who wouldn’t think for a second to relegate his child from heir to servant. His child’s position in the family didn’t change through disrespectful actions or heinous circumstances. Only the son’s heart had originally changed—and become calloused—toward his father. His father’s love for him, however, had never wavered. Intersecting Faith & Life: Do you realize that no matter what you and I do, we can’t “undo” God’s love for us? We can’t position ourselves out of our inheritance in Christ. We can’t disappoint Him to the point that He cancels us, or unfriends us, or relegates us to “outside-the-house” status and lets us visit once or twice a year at Easter or Christmas. The door to His home is always open. In fact, it never closes to us, once we’ve been allowed in to dwell with Him. Our door is the one we shut—the door to our hearts that causes Him to stand and knock and ask to come in (Revelation 3:20). Is the door of your heart constantly open to this Compassionate Father? If you’ve been gone a while, would you simply return to Him and dwell with Him continually? His invitation to you has never expired, His patience has never worn thin, His love has never run dry. Be the one who runs to Him and experiences His loving embrace. Lord Jesus, You have never allowed me to be a stranger to You; may You never be a neglected guest in my heart and home. Thank You for being the Father to whom I can run, ever trust, always love. Eric shares practical insights drawn from his work with organizations that have stopped chasing big transformation initiatives and instead focus on small, consistent shifts that compound over time.Mahan and Eric examine why many leadership teams feel overwhelmed despite good intentions, and how blind spots, inaction, and excessive control quietly erode trust. The conversation challenges the idea that certainty is required to lead well, replacing it with a more realistic and resilient approach rooted in direction, psychological safety, and shared responsibility. The episode also looks at what makes teams “unwavering” when the environment around them is anything but stable. Through concrete examples and memorable stories, Eric illustrates how leaders can build trust that lasts, reduce unnecessary friction, and create conditions where people contribute their best thinking. This conversation is especially relevant for CEOs and senior executives who sense that the way work gets done needs to change, but who want practical leadership insight rather than abstract theory.Actionable TakeawaysYou'll learn why organizations don't suffer from survey fatigue as much as something far more damaging.Hear how small, intentional “one-degree shifts” outperform large transformation efforts over time.Discover what actually makes teams steady during turbulence, and why trust acts as the stabilizer.Learn why leaders often create friction without realizing it, especially through control and approvals.Hear a real example of how daily, employee-driven improvement can reshape culture and results.Understand why clarity of direction matters more than certainty in today's leadership environment.Learn how shared language and experiences quietly strengthen connection and execution.Explore how trust in human judgment remains essential even as AI tools become part of everyday work.Hear why relationships, not systems, ultimately determine whether teams adapt or stall.Connect with Eric TermuendeEric Termuende Website Eric Termuende LinkedIn Connect with Mahan Tavakoli: Mahan Tavakoli Website Mahan Tavakoli on LinkedIn Partnering Leadership Website

What does unwavering faith actually look like when life gets painful, confusing, and far harder than you expected? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett and Nick break down why faith isn't tested in comfort—it's revealed in adversity.Using stories from Navy SEAL training, endurance sports, Scripture, and real-life leadership, the guys unpack three critical keys to sustaining faith through difficulty. First, they explain why mature men must learn to internalize and process hardship, instead of venting, avoiding, or outsourcing every challenge. Difficulty isn't meant to destroy you. It's raw material meant to be refined. Next, they reveal how timeframe orientation determines whether you quit in the valley or endure to the mountaintop. When men lose faith, it's often because they're operating on the wrong timeline and expecting eternal outcomes on short-term clocks. Finally, the conversation lands on the most decisive factor of all: authority. What you give ultimate authority to—what you trust more than circumstances—will determine whether your faith collapses or becomes unshakable. This episode is a blueprint for men who want to grow stronger, not bitter… resilient, not reactive… and faithful no matter how long the fight lasts.Apply for the Mindset Mastery Scholarship by January 14thJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

Read OnlineThe book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham… Thus the total number of generations from Abraham to David is fourteen generations; from David to the Babylonian exile, fourteen generations; from the Babylonian exile to the Messiah, fourteen generations.” Matthew 1:1; 17This lengthy list of Abraham's and David's descendents, leading to Jesus, is much more than a listing of names. It's an illustration of God's fidelity to His promises. To Abraham, God promised “All the families of the earth will find blessing in you” (Genesis 12:3). To David, God promised “Your house and your kingdom are firm forever before me; your throne shall be firmly established forever” (2 Samuel 7:16).Certain divine qualities are revealed in these passages. Unwavering fidelity, continuity through the ages, and God's eternal plan to bless all people through the descendants of Abraham and David are among them. These qualities are not only important for Scripture study, enabling scholars to better understand the whole of salvation history, they also are important to each one of our lives today. When God makes a promise, He is faithful to that promise. What promises has God made to you? He has promised the gifts of grace, happiness, holiness, and eternal life to all who become members of His Kingdom. This promise of unwavering fidelity should inspire hope within our hearts, especially when life is difficult. Difficulties can tempt us to despair, anxiety, and fear. Confidence in God's fidelity will keep us firmly grounded in the certainty of hope that God will never let us down when we remain faithful to Him.In our fast-paced and ever changing world, continuity and consistency are often absent. Many people change their views based on the latest trends. The barrage of constant news, political and moral opinions, and changing economic and social conditions tempt us to change with the latest ideas. God's ideas, however, never change. These promises should lead us to establish our lives not on the latest opinions or popular culture, but on the rock-solid principles of faith, as revealed by God.We are among those who receive blessings promised to “all the families of the earth” through Abraham. Jesus is that final descendent through Whom every good blessing comes. His mission opens the floodgates of grace to all who turn to Him in their need. Don't ever doubt that perfect and eternal plan of salvation. Reflect today on God's perfect fidelity, continuity, and promise of eternal salvation to all who become members of His Kingdom. That Kingdom will remain forever while every other kingdom will pass away. Resolve to remain a full citizen of that Kingdom by being unwaveringly faithful to God's promises, and you will be blessed now and forever to share in the eternal plan of our saving God. My faithful God, Your eternal Word never changes. Your perfect plan invites me to share in the salvation promised to all who follow You and become members of Your Kingdom. Grant me the gift of perfect fidelity to You so that I am consistently united to You and always remain a member of Your eternal Kingdom on Earth and in Heaven. Jesus, I trust in You. Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake has made headlines this week for both personal revelations and high-profile business moves. On July 31, Timberlake revealed on his official Instagram that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. He described the last leg of his music tour as fun, emotional, and physically grueling, saying that balancing touring and treatment was exhausting yet gratifying. He made it clear he wanted to shed light on what he had been facing behind the scenes. In the wake of his announcement, fans immediately offered waves of support, and his wife Jessica Biel had already posted a supportive message with family photos expressing pride and love for Timberlake and their sons. Biel's post drew hundreds of positive comments and underscored that she remains firmly by his side during this health battle, which could potentially have long-term impacts on his touring and professional commitments. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Lyme disease is a bacterial infection spread by ticks, producing symptoms like fever and fatigue and sometimes requiring a lengthy recovery. These events have been widely covered, with AOL and other outlets highlighting both Timberlake's vulnerability and his family's support. In business, Community Impact reports Timberlake is set to open a second Twelve Thirty Club, this time in downtown Austin, Texas. Partnering again with restaurateur Sam Fox, the new multi-level club will blend signature Nashville offerings with Austin-inspired menus and live music, set in a beautifully restored historic building. Timberlake commented that working in Austin allows him to combine his passion for music, hospitality, and innovative design, aiming for an experience where the space and the sound are equally important. The project is slated for a late 2027 opening but is making news now for its scale and ambition as well as for Timberlake's vision.Financially, there are several reports circulating about Timberlake's net worth, with most major business and entertainment sources putting his fortune at around 250 to 350 million dollars. Despite this considerable financial standing, there was recently news from GolfWRX that he sold his eco-friendly Mirimichi Golf Course at a substantial loss, drawing both sympathy and critique from the business community. Finally, on the pop culture front, recent YouTube clips show his classic collaborations like “4 Minutes” with Madonna and Timbaland still trending. He also made headlines earlier this summer for canceling a New Jersey show due to an injury, in the weeks following a plea deal related to a June DWI arrest, as reported by AOL and others. Social media remains abuzz with fan messages of support, new music rumors, and commentary about his ongoing resilience amid a challenging year. All told, this stretch may well be a pivotal chapter in Timberlake's biography, with health, business, and family all in the spotlight.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

At the beginning of Parashat Chayei Sarah, the Torah goes into great detail regarding Avraham Avinu's purchase of the Me'arat HaMachpelah. The Ramban writes that this story is told at length because it represents one of the greatest tests of Avraham's life. Chazal tell us that when Moshe Rabbeinu questioned Hashem about making the work harder for Benei Yisrael in Miẓrayim, Hashem replied that He missed Avraham and gave an example of Avraham's steadfast emunah. Hashem had promised Avraham the entire land of Eretz Yisrael, yet when he needed a place to bury Sarah Imeinu, he could not find one until he was forced to pay an exorbitant sum — and still, he did not question Hashem. The Mefarshim are bothered, because from the pesukim it seems Avraham easily found a burial site, and the Benei Chet offered it to him free of charge. The Alshich HaKadosh explains that Avraham requested an "Achuzat Kever", a permanent burial place — one in which Sarah would rest until Tichiat HaMetim. However, the Benei Chet were only willing to offer a temporary plot; they did not want Avraham to hold a permanent stake in the land. Avraham then asked to speak directly with Efron Hachiti, offering to purchase the entire property where the Me'arah stood. Efron hinted that it would cost an enormous amount, and Avraham paid it in full, without the slightest complaint or question of Hashem's promise. Think about what Avraham was experiencing at that moment. He had just passed what may have been the greatest test in history — the Akeidat Yitzchak — and upon returning, he learned that his beloved Sarah had suddenly passed away. Wanting only to perform the mitzvah of k'vurah as quickly as possible, he found himself dealing with the most difficult, dishonest people imaginable. He was denied a place to bury his wife in a land that the Creator Himself had promised him as an eternal inheritance. When a person suffers loss and grief, it is natural to be emotionally fragile; to then face new frustration can easily cause one to lose patience or become angry. Yet Avraham Avinu maintained the same calm, pleasant demeanor throughout. He treated the Benei Chet and Efron with the utmost respect and paid an outrageous price — all while knowing that Hashem had already granted him this very land as a gift. This unwavering composure and acceptance were what impressed Hashem so deeply. Hashem was showing Moshe Rabbeinu the greatness of Avraham: that no matter how far Hashem pushed him, he never lost himself; he never let the test diminish his emunah. Whenever a person faces a situation in which he could easily lose control or complain, he must remember: Hashem put him there. Hashem is watching to see if he will rise above it. Avraham accepted everything that came his way with joy, knowing it was the Ratzon Hashem — the will of HaKadosh Baruch Hu. That was what Hashem "bragged" about to Moshe Rabbeinu. A man told me about his daughter who lives in Lakewood. Her brother-in-law asked to borrow her car for a night. She gladly agreed, but he unfortunately totaled it. Just a few days later, her brother asked if he could borrow her other car for the night. After what had just happened, she easily could have refused, saying she needed a break from lending her car. But Hashem was testing the depth of her middat hachesed. She smiled and handed him the keys. That night, he too got into an accident and caused major damage to the second car. She could have become upset, blaming them for carelessness — yet she accepted everything from Hashem with understanding and calmness. A few days later, their name was drawn in a local yeshivah raffle, and they won a brand-new Toyota Sienna worth $40,000. If a person worries about damage to his car, he must remember that Hashem can give him ten cars if He wishes. Our concern should not be about possessions — but about our character, our response to challenges, and how we accept Hashem's will. The harder the test, the greater the potential for growth.

Loyalty, Loss, and the Shadow of Mao. Joseph Turigian focuses on Mao's famous phrase about Xi Zhongxun, emphasizing his unwavering loyalty despite repeated suffering at the party's hands. Following the 1949 victory, Xi moved to Beijing, where his son Xi Jinping was born. Xi Zhongxun held complicated views of Mao, feeling gratitude for his survival but recognizing Mao's transformation into a disastrous dictator post-1957. The segment discusses Xi's 1962 purge, which foreshadowed the Cultural Revolution, and his subsequent imprisonment from 1967 to 1975, experiencing persecution earlier than most high-ranking comrades. We were pleased to record a session with Jonathan Schanzer, Executive Director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and we are pleased to share the podcast with you. Jonathan wrote recently, “Israel stood unwavering in the face of withering assaults, one more punishing than the next. And with help from the American president, it emerged from the fighting bruised but intact.” The situation is not perfect, and may never be, but his assessment offers reason for optimism and suggests a path forward.

In this powerful episode, we explore the incredible lessons we can learn from the life of Harriet Tubman, her journey to freedom, her courage, intuitive decision-making, and the importance of purpose-driven living. Imagine standing in complete darkness, unsure of your next step. This was the reality for Tubman as she made her first escape from slavery. Guided only by her instinct and faith, she took the leap into the unknown, demonstrating that self-determination begins not with knowing the entire path, but with deciding to take that first step. Tubman risked her own freedom time and again to help others escape, driven by a profound sense of purpose. Her actions remind us that when our 'why' is strong enough, we can turn fear into fuel, moving steadily even when the ground feels uncertain. By starting with small, low-risk decisions, we can build our intuitive trust and learn to navigate our own paths with confidence. As we reflect on Tubman's legacy, I encourage you to ask yourself where you might be waiting for permission to act. With the right mindset and a willingness to step into the unknown, we can all embrace our inner strength and pursue lives filled with purpose and passion. 8. The Misreading of Russia: Ideology and the Insufficiency of Alliances The debate over whether Ukraine should join the EU or NATO fundamentally misses the core issue: Russia's unwavering ideological belief that it must dominate and control Ukraine. If Russians are driven by this revanchist, neo-imperialist ideology, they will continue to seek control regardless of Ukraine's alliances, potentially through misinformation or political interference. American administrations (including Obama, Trump, and Biden) and many Western European powers have consistently misread Russia, treating it as rational or transactional, and thus failed to take its ideological goals seriously. This lack of understanding about Russia's commitment to control Ukraine means that any proposed "settlement" that does not acknowledge Ukraine as an independent state is doomed. Countries like the Baltics and Poland, which have hands-on experience dealing with Russia, correctly recognized the persistent threat but were often dismissed as overly dramatic.1855 CRIMEA Retry

All of you are taking Harinām initiation today. You may also say, 'Why is it that we take an initiation into a free mantra? I can get this downtown Palo Alto at Lytton Plaza. They just have to go and find the youth Harinām kīrtan and hang around, right?' "They're not selling it down there. They're just giving it away free, and Lord Caitanya gave it away free. 'Why do I have to take all these vows?' Well, Viśvanāth Cakravartī Ṭhākur answers this question in his commentary to the sixth canto of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam regarding the power of chanting the holy name. He says, 'If you can get the holy name from a Vaiṣṇav who's gotten it from a Vaiṣṇav, and that's the definition of a Vaiṣṇav—someone who has received the mantra from a Vaiṣṇav and is following the Vaiṣṇavs. That's why we call it Vaiṣṇavism.' He said, 'And you don't take it, then you're committing the third offense against the chant of the holy name.' In other words, you've got an attitude problem because you think you can go it alone. We can't go it alone. We consider that any advancement we make, any step we take, is enabled by the mercy of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, who's Kṛṣṇa Himself, allowing us the highest, the biggest dispensation ever given in the history of the world, in the history of the universe, in the history of all the universes. 'Anarpita-carīṁ cirāt karuṇayāvatīrṇaḥ kalau' means there's the biggest sale of all time going on. Lord Chaitanya is giving this process through his Vaiṣṇava devotees. So we take the humble route, and we take the mantra, the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra, from a devotee who's following a devotee who's following a devotee all the way back to Kṛṣṇa. And then Bhaktivinod Ṭhākur says in his Harinām Cintāmaṇi, 'Success of the highest kind is available to such a person.' If one chants Hare Kṛṣṇa, incidentally, one can be freed from many sins. 'jaya nāmadheya muni-vṛnda-geya he' 'jana-rañjanāya param akṣarākṛte' 'tvam anādarād api manāg udīritaḿ' 'nikhilogra-tāpa-paṭalīṁ vilumpasi' (Nāmāṣṭakam Verse 2) Somebody says it derisively, it can be cleared from many sins. But if someone becomes sincere and says that this is my sole purpose in life—to remember Kṛṣṇa and the process recommended by Śukadev Gosvāmī, by the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam—a whole canto is dedicated to it: how to be extricated from the material world, but much more than that, how to develop love for Kṛṣṇa. It's just by chanting the Lord's Names, what to speak of Caitanya Mahāprabhu coming and demonstrating how this is the process in Kali Yuga. Anyone can take. All of you who are doing this today will change the world by your stance of unwavering dedication to the chanting of 16 rounds every day, minimum, following the four regulative principles. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna
