In this episode of the Better With Running podcast, hosts Chris Armstrong and Zac Newman welcome back Run2PB athlete and Bendigo Bat, Kate Clarke to share her remarkable transformation. Since beginning her journey with Run2PB, Kate has achieved staggering progress under the guidance of Coach Chris, shaving 25 minutes off her half-marathon PB, 10 minutes off her 10km, and recently breaking the 25-minute barrier for the 5km at Albert Park. Her journey has seen her hit recently 50km-per-week athlete which highlights the power of structured training and a dedicated mindset.Beyond the garmin, Kate discusses the vital role running plays in balancing her high-pressure career as an event producer. Often working 12-to-16-hour days on her feet, she relies on her morning miles for mental clarity and essential "me-time." Kate has also become a fixture in the Athletics Victoria (AV) community and also created a tradition of themed baking. From "yo-yo" shortbreads for Ballarat to her famous brownies for Burnley.A major key to Kate's recent performance jump was her work with nutritionist Jessica Rothwell. She shares the "game-changing" realisation that she needed to view fueling as "adding another meal" to support both her training and her demanding job. We also get an insight into her "chaotic" but lovable training partner—Alfie the Labradoodle. . She also reflects on the electric atmosphere of the Sydney Marathon weekend, where she joined the 10km event while supporting her friend Looking ahead to 2026, Kate and Chris emphasize the importance of keeping the "fun" in the process. After a season of massive breakthroughs, she is currently embracing a period of "running, not racing" as she prepares for the next XCR calendar. Her story is a testament to how structured coaching, proper fueling, and connecting with the running community can lead to improvements both on the road and in daily life.

In this episode we're joined by Gary Farnes, one of our original community members. Gary has been with us from the start, and we've also been there for him on the start of his journey too. From starting running by joining a Need for Speed course, Gary's marathon journey began with the London Marathon and running it virtually in the miserable wet and cold day in 2020. Gary went on to run all 6 majors, represent GB in duathlon and complete Ironman Hamnburg in the middle of this all as well. He completed his 6 star journey only last month at New York marathon and we caught up with him to chat about how he's feeling it's all over and what's next after this wonderful adventure. Also, if we didn't already mention Gary is 63 and with a marathon PB of 3:17, it goes to show that with the right people around you, the right training plan and structure and the right determination, planning and passion - anything is possible!! Back in 2020, members of the violent group The Proud Boys jumped a fence and defaced the Black Lives Matter sign at Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church. They filmed themselves destroying the sign while chanting racial epithets.Metropolitan AME wasn't the only Black church in D.C. to be attacked that night, but their response to the violence was unique. They sued the Proud Boys for damages, and when the group failed to pay, the church won the rights to their trademark. Now, they're selling merch using the PB logo to raise money for their Community Justice Fund. It's an amazing story, but it's only the backdrop to our conversation this week with Reverend Lamar. Katie and LaFonda's conversation with him spanned so many topics, from the importance of storytelling to the power of love to how to have conversations with our family members at the holiday table. They discussed how the far-right has tried to co-opt Christianity but progressive pastors like Rev. Lamar are still fighting for justice and love — you know, actual Christian values.Rev. Lamar has a book coming out next year called Ancestors: Those Who Bless Us, Curse Us, and Hold Us. He's more directly connected to the past than most—Metropolitan AME is the oldest continuously Black-owned property in D.C and held the funerals of Frederick Douglass and Rosa Parks—but we're all shaped by our ancestors. In recognizing our ancestors, we recognize the stories we tell about ourselves. This conversation is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit, but even if you don't celebrate, his humanity and leadership are inspiring. We hope you enjoy it.And if you'd like to join us for our virtual "Pre-Gaming 2026" event, you can learn more and RSVP here. For a transcript of this episode, please email comms@redwine.blue. TALK TO ME, TEXT ITStart with a recording hiccup, then buckle up: we charge straight into the fight over who gets to shape language in the classroom. When a major teachers union showcases neopronouns and even conceptual identities, it isn't just a semantic debate—it's a battle over values, authority, and what schools are for. We pull apart why parents feel blindsided, how teachers navigate shifting mandates, and where the line should be between inclusion and instruction. If you've wondered whether public schools are prioritizing literacy or ideology, you'll hear a perspective that doesn't mince words. Then the conversation turns to faith and pop culture, as Jenny McCarthy shares a deepened relationship with Jesus following a tragedy. Celebrity conversions can spark eye rolls, but they also invite honest questions about purpose, pain, and what it means to surrender. We talk about how public figures live out belief under scrutiny, how faith journeys change over time, and why stories of loss and hope still cut through the noise. It's less about agreeing with every stance and more about recognizing the human need for meaning. We keep the cultural lens focused with a surprising media move: Angel Studios, known for The Chosen and Sound of Freedom, steps into an animated Animal Farm with an A-list cast that includes a transgender actor. For some, that's bold expansion. For others, it's a brand break. We unpack the tension between ministry-minded storytelling and mainstream reach, and what faith-based media should look like if it wants to shape the broader conversation instead of preaching only to the choir. To end on a lighter, communal note, we spotlight a brisk 15-minute Capitol holiday party—Mountain Dew, PB&J, and canned cheese—and throw the mic to you. What's the most memorable Christmas party you've ever attended, and what made it unforgettable? Send us a textThis week on the Agegroup Multisport Podcast, we're joined by the incredible Jo O'Regan—a world-class runner turned Ironman powerhouse with one of the most refreshingly honest journeys in endurance sport.Jo's story starts on the roads, where she built an elite marathon career: wins at Chester, New Forest, and Edinburgh, podium finishes at Manchester, a top-5 at London, and a blistering 2:40 PB at the 2022 London Marathon. She ran for England and earned an invite to the Kew Gardens Olympic Trials—only for injury to pull the rug out at the peak of her running form. What came next changed everything.Forced to pivot, Jo threw herself into swimming, then cycling, and by late 2021 signed up for her first ever triathlon—Ironman Vitoria-Gasteiz. She didn't just finish… she came 3rd, qualified for Kona, and caught the Ironman bug hard (despite imposter syndrome, no TT bike, and zero triathlon experience). We dive into the mindset shift from pure runner to all-round triathlete, dealing with setbacks and mechanicals (including a heartbreaking DNF at Roth), and leaning into strengths while owning weaknesses. Jo also shares her unique and fearless approach to swimming, racing long-distance triathlons entirely breaststroke—clocking a 1:14 swim at Outlaw and 1:19 non-wetsuit at Kona. This episode is about resilience, reinvention, and rewriting the rules of what “doing it right” in triathlon really means. If you've ever felt like an imposter, struggled with injury, or wondered if it's too late to pivot—this one's for you.Follow Jo on Instagram - @jo_oregan_runsYou Can Follow us onYouTube - AMP GBInstagram @amp_podcastFacebook : Richard Joseph Conwayfind all our episodes on our websiteWebsite is : https://agegroupmultisportpodcast.buzzsprout.com/email: agegroupmultisportpodcast@gmail.comIf you are an agegroup athlete and would like to come on the pod, get in touch.

This week on the Better With Running podcast, hosts Chris Armstrong and Zac Newman, start the show with a brief update from chrisos training and talk about the turf war on socials about callipos vs zooper doopers. They then welcome back Run2PB Athlete Stephen Pate, he returns to discuss a phenomenal year of running, culminating in a massive three-minute personal best at the Melbourne Marathon 2025, clocking a 2:31:54. This follows a strong performance at the Ballarat Marathon and a 10k PB earlier in the year. Stephen shares insights into his training consistency through the winter, describing the mental side of the build as a "slog," yet acknowledging it felt better than his previous block. He credits his longevity and injury-free string of three marathon builds to cautiously increasing volume and the structure provided by his coach and training groups like the Ninch Track Club, which offer essential accountability and social support. We get a detailed breakdown of his Melbourne Marathon race, revealing he was "seduced" into running with a massive 20-person pack, which included the lead female, for critical shelter and pacing efficiency in the first half. The mental crucible arrived around the 26-30km mark, a dark patch where he battled "inner voices" of self-doubt. He shares the raw self-talk and mental strategies he used to shut down the negativity and find his rhythm again, contrasting this intense focus with his less-stressed pre-race mindset compared to Ballarat. Steven's strong finish, where he passed multiple runners, is attributed to his consistent training and repeated hill work, which primed his legs for the taxing final kilometers.Stephen confirms his dietary consistency, sticking to his famed steak poké bowls while maintaining a generally gluten-free approach, with the occasional pizza as a running fuel. We also hear about his preferred ASICS shoe rotation, favoring the Superblast for everyday miles and the Meta Speed Edge for races. Looking ahead, he is taking a short break to chase shorter-course PBs before shifting his full focus to training for the notoriously challenging, hilly Boston Marathon courseWith thanks to Oat Running our partner,Listeners of the show can get a a 15% discount using "run2pb15" at the check out. Roger Rosmus, Founder, CEO, & Director of Goliath Resources (TSX.V: GOT) (OTCQB: GOTRF), joins me to review the most recent batches of high-grade gold drill assay results reported over the last month from the 64,000 meter 9-rig 2025 drill program; at the Surebet Discovery on its 100% controlled Golddigger Property, located in the Golden Triangle, British Columbia. Select highlights outlined in the news released on December 2nd: Headline drill hole # GD-25-383 intersected 7.28 g/t Au over 8.00 meters, within 5.85 g/t Au over 10.00 meters in the Eocene-aged Reduced Intrusion Related Gold (RIRG) dyke that remains open. Drill hole # GD-25-311 intersected two gold-rich veins, including 15.13 g/t Au over 3 meters from a section of quartz-sulphide veining with multiple occurrences of VG-NE corresponding to the Bonanza Zone that remains open. Drill hole # GD-25-370 intersected three gold-rich veins in the Bonanza Zone that remains open assayed up to 5.66 g/t Au over 5.05 meters, including 9.24 g/t Au over 3.05 meters from a zone of strong quartz sulphide veining and breccia with numerous occurrences of VG-NE. Select highlights outlined in the news released on November 17th, 2025: Headline Drill hole # GD-25-377 intersected three separate intervals. The first being 10.25 g/t Au over 7.02 meters, within 7.16 g/t Au over 10.84 meters, within 5.20 g/t Au over 15.00 meters containing multiple occurrences of VG-NE within a zone of strong quartz-sulphide veining hosted in the Bonanza Zone that remains open. Drill hole # GD-25-332 intersected 13.38 g/t Au over 5.75 meters, including 15.83 g/t Au over 4.86 meters, including 19.87 g/t Au over 3.87 meters part of a zone of quartz-sulphide veining containing multiple occurrences of VG-NE hosted in in the Goldzilla Vein that remains open. Drill hole # GD-25-380 intersected 6.61 g/t Au over 5.80 meters, within 4.83 g/t Au over 8.00 meters from an interval corresponding to the Goldzilla Vein containing VG-NE in quartz-sulphide veins. Roger outlines that the high-grade gold-mineralization seen in in the Reduced Intrusion Related Gold (RIRG) dyke in hole #383 is right between prior holes #237 and #226 drilled in 2023, showing the broad mineralization and good odd of continuity in the Eocene-aged mineralization. It adds to the thesis to continue testing and drilling the many other RIRG dykes in the system. He also points out that the high-grade gold intercepts coming from drillholes into the Bonanza Zone, (a series of stacked veins dipping to the southeast, where the sediment rock packages contact the volcanic rock packages), has been expanded this mineralization to 1.25 km along its east-west orientation. The mineralized trend still remains open for expansion to the northwest where Bonanza extends for 580 meters. He notes that there are plenty of holes still pending to report from this year's program, and many targets to keep going after in the Bonanza Zone in next year's fully funded drill program. Assays are still pending for 70 holes from this year's exploration campaign, of which 55 (representing 79% of the total pending) contain up to 12 occurrences of visible gold to the naked eye (VG-NE); see images in the press release from December 2nd. The intercepts reported thus far are approximately true width and reflect gold only assays (AuEq values will be adjusted accordingly once Ag, Cu, Pb and Zn multi-element assays are returned from the lab in the weeks and months to come). Episode 33 of Chunes Radio on Data Transmission The spot for House & Techno
Hand students a real budget and a ballot, and watch a campus transform. We sit down with Tara Bartlett (ASU), KaRa Lyn Thrasher, and Sabrina Estrada (Center for the Future of Arizona) to unpack how school participatory budgeting turns student voice into visible change—without adding noise or partisanship. From the first Arizona pilot to 80+ schools statewide, the story is clear: when students lead, engagement grows, trust deepens, and communities benefit. We break down the complete PB cycle in plain language: forming an inclusive student steering committee, collecting ideas from the whole school, vetting costs and feasibility, building a transparent ballot, campaigning with civil discourse, and running a real vote day complete with booths and “I Voted” stickers. You'll hear vivid examples—water bottle refill stations and AEDs that solved urgent needs, therapy dogs that scaled district-wide, and a Watho shade structure built with tribal partners—that showcase how culture shifts when young people drive decisions.Beyond inspiring stories, we dig into outcomes you can measure. Using a CASP framework—civic knowledge, attitudes, skills, and practices—students report stronger public speaking, teamwork, project management, empathy, and confidence to act. We address common hurdles like educator time, funding myths, and adultism, and share practical solutions: integrate PB into coursework, set aside a budget slice, recruit “not the usual suspects,” and use bite-sized trainings and resource hubs to make facilitation easier.Curious to bring PB to your district or classroom? Explore the toolkit, try the short training videos, and start with a student-led committee and a real line item. If this conversation resonates, follow the show, share it with a colleague, and leave a review telling us what your students would put on the ballot.Check it out: https://www.arizonafuture.org/programs/education-programs/school-participatory-budgeting-in-arizona/ The Arizona Constitution ProjectCheck Out Our Free Lessons on Arizona History and Government!Follow us on:TwitterLinked InInstagramFacebookYouTubeWebsiteInterested in a Master's Degree? In this final episode of Season 3, I'm sharing my full year-in-review: the highs, lows, lessons, and everything in between across my running, family life, and business. This year was a big one. I found my groove again postpartum, trained for and completed my first marathon since having twins, and nearly hit an all-time high for annual mileage. I also navigated lingering pelvic floor issues, the realities of marathon training while camping with toddlers, and the constant juggle of recovery, parenting, and work. There were so many moments that reminded me why I love running, and a few that reminded me just how hard it can be.On the personal side, watching my boys grow from babies to busy toddlers has been the most joyful part of my year, alongside some tough moments.Inside the business, Season 3 brought incredible conversations on the podcast, huge wins for my 1:1 clients and Fuel Train Recover Club members, and the launch of new resources like the Runners Fueling Audit and my Fuel Smarter, Run Stronger ebook. I also learned a lot about my own capacity as a mom and coach, and made strategic upgrades to the Club to create a more sustainable, high-quality coaching experience.I'm also sharing what I'm most excited about for 2026 — from chasing a faster half marathon PB, to exploring new marketing channels, to some very special guests already lined up for Season 4. And don't worry: while I'm on break, I'll be re-releasing some of the top episodes from this season so you have plenty to listen to.Thank you for being here through another amazing season. I can't wait to bring you even more amazing conversations and deep dives in season 4!Looking for the resources mentioned in today's episode?Get your free fueling audit here! And if you're ready for more support, I've got options—whether it's my brand-new ebook Fuel Smarter, Run Stronger, my group program The Fuel Train Recover Club, or apply for limited spots in my personalized 1:1 coaching programs.

Jennifer Araoz filed a lawsuit against the Epstein Estate, alleging she was groomed and sexually assaulted by Jeffrey Epstein when she was a teenager. The lawsuit claims that Araoz was recruited outside her New York City high school by Epstein's associates, who promised career opportunities and financial support. Over time, Epstein allegedly coerced her into repeated sexual encounters, culminating in a rape at his Manhattan townhouse when she was just 15 years old. Araoz contends that Epstein's vast network of accomplices played an active role in enabling the abuse by fostering an environment of manipulation and control. The lawsuit not only targets Epstein's estate but also implicates other individuals and entities that Araoz claims facilitated his criminal activities. Seeking both justice and compensation, Araoz's suit is part of a broader legal effort by Epstein's survivors to hold those connected to his network accountable. The case underscores the alleged systemic nature of Epstein's operations, highlighting the complicity of those who worked with him to sustain his predatory behavior.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Jeffrey Epstein ST-19-PB-80 Additional filings (003).pdf (vicourts.org)

This Thanksgiving week, we slow down and give thanks for one of God's greatest gifts: shared tables.Whether it's a kitchen bar, a backyard bbq, leftovers after church, or a simple cafesito—God meets us in the places where we make room for others. In today's devotion we look at three powerful Scriptures:• 1 Peter 4:9 — “Offer hospitality without grumbling.”• John 15:12–13 — “Love one another as I have loved you.”• Acts 2:44–47 — The early church breaking bread with glad and sincere hearts.Inspired by Henri Nouwen's reflection on hospitality, we explore how creating space for someone—physically or emotionally—can be the very place where healing and change begin. Not because we fix people, but because we offer them freedom, presence, and love.As you give thanks this week, take a moment to remember the tables you've been invited to— the laughter, the chaos, the sacred conversations, and the moments where your heart expanded. This week, who can you invite to your table? Even if all you have is an egg sandwich, leftover cake, tea, or a PB&J—your heart is the real offering. If this encouraged you, like the video, share it with someone, and subscribe for more weekly devotionals.Happy Thanksgiving, familia.

Send us a textThe best conversations start with a small spark, and ours begins with World Kindness Day before ricocheting through weather whiplash, missed northern lights, and two jaw-dropping world records: 374 bagpipers blasting ACDC and a PE teacher drilling 1,516 three-pointers in a row. From there we wander into a modern folklore lesson on Jeep “ducking,” why tiny rubber ducks on dashboards are a rolling chain of goodwill, and a surprisingly competitive taste test pitting Trader Joe's PB&J pockets against the classic Uncrustables. Then we roll up our sleeves and get truly sudsy. Soap hasn't always been a given; it was once taxed as a luxury and arrived in our homes far later than most of us realize. We trace the arc from ancient fats-and-ash recipes and Roman oil scrapers to the rise of industrial soap, the late bloom of liquid hand soap in the 1970s, and the everyday culture wars of bar versus body wash. Along the way we dig into scents, skin sensitivity, antibacterial labels, and why foam pumps win with reluctant hand washers. We swap stories about public bathroom nostalgia, the pitfalls of using body wash as shampoo, and a little DIY curiosity—plus a reminder that the best hygiene habit is the one you'll actually keep. It's a cozy, curious tour of how small rituals shape home life: a bottle by the sink, a seasonal scent, a kid who defaults to sanitizer, a parent who says “soap and water.” We share practical tips, laugh at our own mishaps, and find meaning in the mundane. Press play for a kind, funny, and unexpectedly informative ride through records, rubber ducks, and the science of clean.Enjoyed the episode? Follow, rate, and share with a friend.
