Are you a fan of Royalty across the world? I am and I'm going to share what some of the Worlds Royals are up to! The events, the history, and some personal anecdotes every day!
It's the first episode of regular events of A Royal Review. It covers all the events that have happened in the past week. The Danish Royals were able to host their new year's receptions after two years. Queen Letizia debuted a new piece of jewelry (https://www.instagram.com/p/CnFsea8oCZ5/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link), and which royals attended the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI?LINKSInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/aroyalreview/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@Aroyalreview
Introducing a new podcast focused on modern European monarchies. The events they participate in, the way the royals work as modern public servants, and how the pomp and circumstance of royalty plays it's part.
There were 2 birthdays in the British Royal Family, including the 96th birthday of her Majesty the Queen. Also keeping things going in terms of the day-to-day were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who had several events in the past week.
King Philippe was manning the ship (pun intended) this week as Queen Mathilde tested positive for COVID. During the week King Philippe visited a really cool organization that combines sports and social action, he attended an Iftar and visited a new naval research vessel
The Swedish Royal Family came back from the Easter Holiday and GOT TO WORK, they had several events over the course of the past 3 days. Also before the Easter weekend, the final stop of the 22 county tour was made ( a year and a half after the first stop), which marks a milestone of the longest series to ever happen on this podcast.
Even with Holy Week in Spain, the Spanish Royal Family found a way to keep busy. King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and their daughters visited Ukrainian refugees at an event the day before Easter. Princess Leonor had her second solo event. There were some other things that were happening over the past little bit.
As is the norm for Easter Holidays there was not a lot going on in Norway. There were a few really cool events though over the beginning of April that we talk about, including a government shakeup from a scandal.
Well in keeping with Danish norms, the Danish Royal Family had zero events over the last week and very few engagements in the past month. We do look forward at some new events that are upcoming including the first time we get to discuss Queen Margrethe's normal birthday celebration.
For the busiest Royal Family in Europe, I feel like these past 7 days were really slow. Queen Elizabeth did all virtual engagements, which appears to be the new normal for her. Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales hosted Queen Letizia of Spain for a day of events in County Durham. And to finish out the week the Duchess of Cornwall had a massive fan girl moment at the Jane Austen House.
There wasn't a lot that happened in Belgium over the past week, so we take a look at the past month and the big events in the month of March. Princess Elisabeth made an appearance, there was a state visit from Austria and some work being done with the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
The Daily Royal is coming back next Monday! April 11, 2022! See you then!
The Belgians held a reception for their Olympic medalists, which led to a medal count update. Queen Elizabeth had her first in-person engagement since recovering and so much more in today's episode
As things fall into a routine, there were a surprising number of events over the course of the weekend. We dive into the work being recognized by the Belgian Royals, how important it is to educate young people on world events (royal or not), a fun winter sports weekend in Norway, and the Paralympic Games.
There were a lot of events focused on the Russian invasion of Ukraine today, but there were again some great events including a very cute birthday.
Under the cloud of what is happening in the world, there were some events today, that were amazingly happy. There were also some that had an incredibly sad motive, and one that was both.
With the developing situation in Ukraine, the royal world was very quiet today. How does the constantly changing world environment affect the royals? It most certainly has changed schedules around and is an ongoing part of their day-to-day lives.
With things staying pretty quiet over the weekend I thought this episode would be fairly quiet, but the QUEEN ELIZABETH TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID and I am nervous but optimistic.
In Belgium, it was a day to honor and remember deceased members of the Royal Family, and in the UK the Prince of Wales made his public comeback after being in covid isolation.
There was certainly not a lot happening yesterday, but I think that is okay, Things will pick up soon enough!
Welcome back...again. But this time with a new plan. In this episode, we are casually discussing the trifecta of Royals that were covid positive last week and what that means for the calendar.
It's been a good week for the royals, there is a little to catch up on and there have been really great moments.
Well after more than a month off, The Daily Royal is back with a few changes. Listen to find out more about the changes ahead.
Well, it was a quiet two days to end this year's podcast but we are officially ending the year of podcasts. See you in January!
Things were kind of busy over the past two days. Queen Elizabeth made an appearance Crown Princess Mary has COVID and Crown Prince Haakon is in Quarantine for exposure to covid, but no symptoms. The Netherlands possibly has a new government after 7 months of negotiations. King Felipe and Queen Letizia honored Spanish Olympians and King Carl Gustaf traveled to Dubai for the World Expo.

Happy 18th Birthday to The Princess of Orange, Princess Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria.
So many events over the past few days, from a Christmas Concert in the UK to a Royal Tree Lighting from Crown Prince Haakon in the US. The Spanish Royals returned to work on Thursday after a little break. Look for upcoming special episodes covering Amalia's 18th birthday and the Nobel Prizes in both Oslo and Stockholm.
There wasn't a lot going for the past 4 days, but again it is December and this is the way this month goes.
Cancellations, postponements and a slow down of events, it's December in the middle of a pandemic. I wonder what the rest of the month will look like.
The Prince of Wales attended the National Independence Day for Barbados, where the Queen was previously head of state. The Danish Royal Household updated their website, is it good? Things are starting to feel up in the air in the Netherlands about future upcoming events. Crown Prince Haakon started a new important initiative, the Spanish Royals are taking a break (a single day off), and Sweden has the best work/life balance.
Well although I took an unintentional week off, it was a pretty interesting week. Things are being canceled, modified, and postponed in the royal households of Europe. But there were plenty of events to talk about.
I love Royal families visiting each other so much, and this state visit from the Spanish Royals to the Swedish Royals was no exception it was such a great time. This episode is an overview of every event that happened over the two-day visit.
It's a little bit of everything this weekend, including the rest of the Autumn tour for Charles and Camilla. Some more digital events in The Netherlands, an almost unheard chill day in Spain and a new banner for a Swedish Military Academy.
Every country had at least one event, so that was fantastic. Some highlights include a Belgian Province visit, another watch parade in Denmark, the meeting between the Presidents of Portugal and Italy with King Felipe and more.
Things have stayed relatively calm today. The Prince of Wales are in Jordan, we have an update on Princess Amalia ahead of her 18th birthday. The Spanish Royals welcomed the Italian President, who is on a state visit to the country.
It was a slow start to the week. There are only events in the Netherlands and in Spain to talk about today. Also, is Europe going to go back into lockdown soon? I hope not!
The Primary focus of this episode is Remembrance Weekend in the UK, but we also talk about the 2022 World Cup, and a night at the Opera for King Felipe and Queen Letizia.
With 3 Foreign Trips, plus events surrounding armistice day there is so much to talk about in today's episode.
Two state visits in one day, it's the dream. But....It was also busy everywhere else. Queen Mathilde read with children, the British Royal Family was out in force and we have to love The Duchess of Cambridge's follow-through. Queen Margrethe and Crown Prince Frederik started their state visit to Germany with a day full of engagements. While the Dutch visit to Norway is still going strong and everyone is dressing so well! The Spanish Royal Family returned to work and the Swedish Crown Princess was focusing on the importance of a healthy lifestyle for children.
It is officially time for the month to really get started before we get to the meat of the episode though we have some other events. First in Belgium Queen Mathilde celebrated the father of the Big Bang Theory. The Duke of Cambridge held his first investiture in 2021. And Queen Margrethe gave an award to the Secretary-General of the EU. Then it was State Visit time for the Dutch and Norwegian Royal Families.
The Belgian Royal Family is back to work today. COP 26 is over for the Prince of Wales (I think). Crown Princess Mary and the twins attended a traditional hunt recreation. Exciting news coming from the Dutch Royal Family and Princess Amalia. Crown Prince Haakon was serving as regent over the weekend, and King Felipe met with Ibero American Leaders.
The Prince of Wales is still talking about Climate with important members of the conversation, Crown Prince Frederik attended a symposium of diplomacy. The Norwegian Royal Family welcomed the German President to Norway, King Felipe met with the President to Ecuador. Meanwhile, what's with the double standard of Royal Women's clothes.
The Prince of Wales is still up in Glasgow for COP, Queen Margrethe hosted Nordic Leaders for the 2021 Nordic Council. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima were in Dubai for the day. Crown Prince Haakon promoted girls in tech, and Queen Letizia had a marathon day in Paraguay.
I continue to be amazed by Prince Charles' and Prince Willam's collaboration during COP 26. The Danish Royal Family is gearing up for the Nordic Conference, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima arrived in Dubai. The Norwegian Royal Family hosted a dinner for the Tokyo Olympians and Paralympians. And in Spain, we had some BREAKING NEWS while recording.
Let November begin where the Royal Watching is going to be amazing. Today was not an exception. The British Royal Family made a strong appearance at the opening day of COP 26. Meanwhile, in Denmark, Crown Prince Frederik hosted a hunt, and Crown Princess Mary got in the Christmas Spirit. Everywhere else was very quiet.
Both Queen Máxima and The Prince of Wales were at this weekend's G20 Summit in Rome.
