At first we didn't know what Trivial Television was going to be. We called it Sitcom Synopsish and figured we'd recap TV comedy in all kinds of ways, like how we do movies on Make Mine a Double Feature. So that's what this is. We pretended some of the background and secondary characters in this episode of Friends got their own spinoffs. We're doing a little bit of this kind of thing in the actual Trivial Television episodes we've recorded more recently, but we mix it in with facts (like that Community episode we did) and trivia questions (like that Office episode we did) to create a pretty fun combination of recaps, facts, fictions, and questions — just like the new theme song says. So look forward to that. And check out synopsish.com for a variety of podcasts and blog posts. It's all family and friends with no money or Hollywood connections hanging out, playing around with pop culture, and sharing stuff with you. Thanks for listening. Take care.
A recap of season 4, episode 13 of The Office — "Dinner Party" — with some trivia mixed in. We have questions for each other about soda companies, music, movies, and television. We were still figuring out what Trivial Television would be. Mixing in trivia obviously became part of the show we've since developed. So here's another early episode of Trivial Television, when we were still calling it Sitcom Synopsish and all that. Over at synopsish.com, you can get all kinds of podcasts and blog posts that play around with pop culture. Everything we do is just friends and family hanging out. It's all DIY, independent. We're a bunch of nobodies making stuff and sharing it with you. Hope you'll take a look. Thanks for listening. Take care.
Before we quite knew what Trivial Television was going to be, we made this episode with some bleepbloop pop-up facts (many of them made up). You can stop by synopsish.com to see if you like the stuff we make. We have podcasts about movies, the 90s, music, the internet.
