In the world of prepping, it's easy to slide from being prepared to feeling paranoid. Prepping has an important purpose: to ensure we're ready to face unexpected events. But sometimes, in the quest to be ready for anything, it's possible to lose perspective. In this podcast, we'll discuss how to stay grounded and avoid the “crazy place” while prepping. Keep Paranoia in Check Prepping often means staying informed about possible risks, from natural disasters to economic downturns. However, too much focus on worst-case scenarios can lead to paranoia. Instead, view prepping as a tool to enhance your life, not something driven by fear. Remember that many potential crises are rare, and balancing awareness with realistic expectations will help you prepare without unnecessary anxiety. Stay Positive and Balanced Mindset is crucial. When prepping starts to feel overwhelming, step back and remember why you started. The goal isn't to live in fear but to be secure and confident in your preparations. Make positivity part of your routine by practicing gratitude and appreciating the security your efforts bring. Keeping your spirit positive will help you stay motivated and less stressed. Watch Less News Constant news can amplify feelings of dread, especially if it focuses on negative stories. Try limiting your news intake to just once a day or a few times a week to avoid becoming overwhelmed. Balance factual information with time to relax and enjoy other activities. This approach will help you stay informed without feeling alarmed by every headline. Connect Socially It's easy to become isolated when prepping, but staying social is important. Engage with friends, family, or prepper communities that support positive, balanced perspectives. Social interactions can provide fresh insights and help you stay grounded. In the end, prepping should help you live confidently—not consume your life.

Today I want to encourage you if you're feeling like you've "let yourself go" this past year. I have heard this from a lot of you... you feel like you've let yourself go and you're feeling ashamed for the weight you've gained and how you're maybe not where you thought you would be by now, at this time last year.  But, what I do know is that there's often a real reason why you've "let yourself go"... and while you may be telling yourself "I'm just lazy", that's never really the case. And more often, it's that you've just had other priorities. Often, in my experience, related to your mental health and needing to prioritize that above your physical health for a time. Today, I'm sharing my own experiences with starting therapy again this past year and intentionally having times where I put my mental health above my physical health for part of the year. And, I share how I was able to still care for both my body & my mental health during this time and what that can look like for you. In this episode, we dive headfirst into exploring intriguing topics that often go unnoticed. Firstly, we unravel the curious phenomenon of the superficiality in women's relationships. We take a closer look at this cultural norm and examine its underlying reasons, shedding light on the complexities of female bonds. Next up, we tackle the intriguing subject of post-COVID friendships. With the pandemic altering our social dynamics, we explore the lasting effects on our connections. Did your COVID friendships stand the test of time or gradually fade away? We share personal experiences and explore the intricacies of maintaining meaningful connections in a post-pandemic world. Lastly, we delve into the impact of body types as we age. Society often places undue emphasis on physical appearance, particularly for women. You Could Have Been a Lady". En 1979, elBBC lanzó In Concert para distribución internacional; En 1981, Aquarius lanzó otro álbum recopilatorio, The Best of April Wine Rock Ballads . El álbum incluía los sencillos "Enough is Enough", "If You See Kay" y "Anything You Want, You Got It". Mientras tanto, varios sellos lanzaron varios álbumes recopilatorios. En 2004, Silverline lanzó el primer DVD-A de April Wine llamado From the Front Row ... Live! .

Sybil Lynch, known simply as Sybil, is an American R&B and pop singer–songwriter. Sybil gained notable success in her career with songs during the mid-1980s into the mid-1990s. She is the cousin of former En Vogue singer Maxine Jones.  Sybil signed to Next Plateau Records in the United States (with a licensing deal with Champion Records in the United Kingdom) and began recording in 1986 with the release of her first single "Falling in Love". The record reached the top 30 on the Dance charts and began a successful career for Sybil, releasing her debut album Let Yourself Go a year later, which was a minor hit.  Sybil achieved worldwide crossover hits with her cover versions of Dionne Warwick's hits "Don't Make Me Over" and "Walk On By", which were released in 1989 and 1990, respectively. The former became Sybil's biggest hit in the US, peaking at 20, and was a 1 hit in New Zealand.    "Walk On By" is still, to date, the highest charting position for this Burt Bacharach/Hal David classic in the UK, peaking at 6 closely followed by Gabrielle (7). Sybil's self-titled second album became her biggest-selling album in the US. She signed with PWL Records for the UK market for this album, where it was titled Walk On By. Sybil would be signed to PWL Records until 1998. #rnb #rnbpodcast #rnbmusic #newjackswing #hiphop #hiphopmusic  #DJCassidy #PassTheMic #HalftimeChat Halftime Chat is hosted by Mental Health Psychotherapist Nnamdi E.S. “Your story is not to be written as a novel. You are a collection of the people you've become and the people you've yet to be. A series of stories told in sequence, sometimes with rhyme and sometimes without reason, a neverending exploration of every corner of your potential. Please don't worry if you cannot converge your old selves. You are not meant to understand them. You are only meant to set them free.” - Brianna Wiest This episode is about creating anything you want. So often, we talk about creating what you want in terms of manifesting, but this episode takes a pragmatic approach. As Kari approaches 40, she's thinking about what she wants. This episode explores the present in detail and why the present is the only way to unlock the freedom and delight we all crave in life. It's also about stopping “should-having” all over yourself and alchemizing your emotions into love.  This episode presents another path if you've found yourself using hustle and chaos to anesthetize. And for anyone looking to create a new experience or new relationship for themselves, you'll find the secret here. ABOUT THIS FEELS IMPORTANT This Feels Important explores the hairy, scary, weird, and sometimes the orgasmic journey of navigating our ever-evolving relationships with self, others, and the world around us. Your hosts, Kari Keating and Tory Dube - along with a lineup of epic guests - open the floor for honest discussions about the taboo feels (sex! money!), the painful feels (miscarriages! divorce! grief!). But, of course, the fun feels (psychedelics! sex again!) are inevitable, necessary, and freaking important as we all navigate the highs, lows, and in-betweens of the human experience.  #thisfeelsimportant SHARE YOUR FEELS WITH KARI AND TORY Find the show on Instagram Share with Kari Share with Tory CREDITS Podcast edited and mixed by 51 features. Society tells you not to let yourself go. I call BS. In this episode I talk about how the idea of not letting ourselves go represents a great truth; this is the fact that so many of us hold ourselves captive to the ideas of others. You are enough and don't need to comply. Free yourself from expectations of others and society and learn to really embrace yourself. I hope you enjoy!
