In dieser Folge geht es um ein Projekt in der Peterskapelle in Luzern. Dort saß ein „Personal Jesus“ als Avatar. Besucherinnen und Besucher konnten sich gegenüber von Jesus hinsetzen und ihm Fragen stellen. Diese Installation wurde gemeinsam mit dem Immersive Realities Research Lab der Hochschule Luzern entwickelt. Ich finde zu dieser Idee passt der Song von Depeche Mode perfekt, weil es darum geht, in Beziehung zu gehen, zu Jesus und zu sich selbst. "Personal Jesus" ermutigt, die eigene Spiritualität zu entdecken, ohne vorgegebene Dogmen. Jesus, nur einen Telefonanruf entfernt oder als KI Avatar immer verfügbar. Aber zum Glück können wir auch ohne Festnetzverbindung in den Himmel mit ihm sprechen. Einfach mal erzählen, was so los war die letzten Wochen. Da ist jemand, der zuhört. Der Song unserer Folge wirft die Frage auf: Wer genau ist denn Jesus eigentlich, für mich? Der Mann aus der Bibel, Gottes Sohn, Heiler, Bruder, Sturmstiller? Der Text von Depeche Mode beschreibt ihn so: "Dein ganz persönlicher Jesus. Jemand, der deine Gebete hört. Jemand, der sich um dich kümmert. Jemand, der einfach da ist. Du fühlst dich fremd und bist ganz allein. Nur Fleisch und Knochen am Telefon. Nimm den Hörer ab. (…) Streck die Hände aus, berühre den Glauben. This episode looks at Johnny Cash's “The American Recordings”, a series of 6 albums released on American Records between 1994 and 2010.  By 1994, when he signed to Rick Rubin's American Records, it looked like Cash's career was all but done.
