The What School You Went? podcast is a delightful and informative gem that keeps listeners informed and entertained, no matter where they are in the world. As someone who is far away from home, this podcast has become a welcomed source of connection to my Hawaiian roots. With its engaging content and wonderful host, Ron Mizutani, it feels like I am talking to friends every time I tune in. The mix of old school reminiscing, island lore, and cultural knowledge makes each episode a delight to listen to.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the exploration of the paranormal side of Hawaii. As someone who is interested in different cultures, I was initially drawn to this podcast while searching for information on night marchers. However, I quickly found myself captivated by the variety of topics covered. The episodes on Hawaiian lore and the paranormal are particularly fascinating and leave me wanting more. It would be great if the podcast could delve even deeper into these subjects.
A minor downside to this podcast is that it assumes some familiarity with Hawaiian terms and culture. While it does provide some explanations along the way, a more thorough explanation of certain terms or concepts would be appreciated for those who are not familiar with Hawaiian culture. However, this issue does not detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the podcast.
In conclusion, The What School You Went? podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in Hawaiian culture or simply looking for an engaging and informative show. Ron Mizutani's hosting skills create an atmosphere that feels like you're sitting in on a casual talk story with friends. Whether you're hailing from Hawaii or California, this podcast will make you feel right at home as you learn about island lore and reminisce about old school days. I eagerly look forward to future episodes and hope that Ron continues to explore more intriguing aspects of Hawaiian history and folklore. Mahalo for creating such an excellent podcast!
