Description: What if faith wasn't fixed and it could be more of a verb instead of a noun? Have you wrestled with doubt in faith or tension through conflicting scripture? You're not alone and you are in good company. In fact, you may be taking your Christian walk and relationship with God more seriously than most are comfortable with, and that's okay. In scripture, we are modeled and encouraged to test what we hear (Acts 17:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22, 1 John 4:1). However, to grow our “faithing” muscles and not give up in our wrestling in love with God, like Jacob did in Genesis 32:22-32, takes a lot of heart and perseverance. Anything that's worth it, takes effort. God says we are worth it and belong in His Kingdom, now let's talk about the effort it takes to demonstrate Him and His Kingdom is worth it even through the doubts and tension. Listen and watch this month's Whole & To The Full as Chrissy and Emma Rose go over what it means to pursue what Dr. Kara Powell and Dr. Steven Argue call “faithing” (instead of just “having faith”) as they wrestle with big topics such as #healing and #sin through #integrating their learning from #FullerTheologicalSeminary. If you've ever had doubts or tensions with faith or know someone who is, you'll want to listen in to hear what's really going on and how we can love God, ourselves, and others better in the process. Did you know God made our brains to change for the better as we pursue Imago Dei in relationships? What if you could approach relationships with a more Secure Attachment rather than insecure attachment to love others well making them feel more safe, seen, soothed, and secure in your presence? Listen and watch Whole & To The Full as Chrissy and Emma Rose go over this as they integrate what they're learning at #FullerTheologicalSeminary across #humandevelopment. They go over the journey of #EmergingAdulthood to understanding #SecureAttachment from childhood to changing attachment in pursuit of #ImagoDei (the image of God) in relationships. If you ever wanted to be a secure base for your family and friends and wanted to love people well (even if you may not have been treated as well before), you're going to want to catch the episode through to the end to apply what they're learning with the Practical Pause!
