On this episode, we hear about this incredible woman's journey through births and how they shaped her passion in Midwifery due to two drastically different experiences with birth. She also shares her experience with postpartum depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations. She has been profoundly brave in sharing such an intimate experience with us all.  I apologize because I used Grey's maiden name on the episode but her married name is Grey Lovely AND Grey Lovely is a Badass!! There I said it...But you all need to feel it because this woman can bring so much power to our collective. As Women, we need to be aware of our options, strengths and our blind spots so that we can make educated decisions about our bodies. Also, this way we are able to stand in our power without a doubt. Grey has shared her power with us today and her work as a Doula will continue to share this as it empowers each one of her patients.  Postpartum is real, we need to be speaking on this more often! let us do our part and support our sisters who might be feeling this, or help those who are trying to get through it. Mental health is so important and we are still not loud enough about it, but I know that one by one we will awaken the sleeping giant and thus, save the lives of countless women. All because one of us decided to start sharing. The rest of us lets support, understand and hold space for our sisters. Your story was so powerful and I am sure someone out there will find healing through your experience and transparency with your ups and downs throughout your journey. I want to take this space to also speak to all women out there who have experienced stillbirths. We are sharing space in order to hold that space for all those who want to heal, want to share and want to grow from painful experiences. Remember that you are still a mother, you can grieve your own way and we all have different paths. please do not ever limit your healing to the "right way" and instead trust that you are beautiful, valuable and powerful even at your darkest. You’re beautiful.”You shed one single tear for me before passing away. I’ll never forget how that made me feel.
