Star Wars Aftermath: Empire's End. With the release of The Force Awakens, one of the biggest questions about the movie was, "What happened in the 30 years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens?". The Aftermath series by Chuck Wendig was meant to begin that tale, but has been middling at best and now the trilogy is coming to a close. In this episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by Bruce Gibson and Mark Hurliman to talk about Empire's End. We discuss our first/last impressions, dive deep into all 5 sections of the books and talk about the aftermath of these books the the state of canon, plus give out thoughts about the future of the books. Jon reviews "Aftermath: Empire's End". Robert tells a story about Robyn Hitchcock and the Ides of March that has no point. Gareth Edwards talks "Rogue One" last-minute additions (He doesn't appear, we actually talk about them). Frank Oz is mum on Yoda. Jon and Robert have very different experiences with Star Wars: Rebels "Double Agent Droid" and that's okay. A listener has a question and we do our best to answer it. Talkin' Aftermath: Empire's End SPOILERS Review by Brick City Blockade Productions | Granite State
This week, we are reviewing the final book in author Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath trilogy, Empire’s End. The trilogy is set shortly after the events of Return of the Jedi and follows both a group of special agents within the New Republic, as well as chronicling the Empire’s disarray after the loss of the Second Death Star, Darth Vader, and the Emperor. As the final book in the series, Empire’s End details the battle made famous by The Force Awakens, the Battle of Jakku. There is a ton going on in this novel, and we break down the best, and worst, parts of Wendig’s final book in the trilogy.

Discussion: TV series - ABC and LucasFilm are in ongoing talks for a Live-Action Star Wars TV show, which could follow a great many ideas in this expansive universe. tvweb.com What we are looking forward to in 2017 Listener Questions & Comments: Tom wells I hope it's not a question in bad taste, but I wanna know how you would address Carrie Fisher's death in Episode 9. Would you recast her? Give Leia an off-screen death? Maybe just somehow write her out of the script? Maybe even use CGI? I personally think they should put a death scene near the start of the movie, maybe with her ship being destroyed, with most shots of her being from behind, as well as using old footage, CGI, etc to create somewhat of a story arc with the First Order killing the leader of the Resistance. What do you guys think? Darrell Taylor What do you think the connection will be if any with the Guardians of the Whills and the Knights of Ren?
